We like the owner and we feel she's got a pretty good stock of new and some used books along with a very nice children's area (play space and books). It's a welcome stop in this part of Vermont (the Northeast Kingdom) and makes us happy. Inside is much larger and book displays are well designed and thought out, enticing and encouraging you to peruse for your next reading adventure. The owner works hard to curate books from every genre, staying on top of current best sellers, while also offering a great section of local Vermont authors (of both fiction and nonfiction) , games, cookbooks, stationary. There is something for everyone's tastes and preferences. The owner and employees are all very friendly and knowledgeable. They'll gladly order what you'd like if you can't find it in stock. She often hosts events, so follow their Facebook page to learn more. Prices are reasonable and it's always hard to walk out with "just one more book." The store is located next to a lovely coffee shop: perfect combination for a new book to take with you as you sip and dine.
