Every single person working is kind and thoughtful and really goes out of their way to help. The delivery was incredible too, the movers even stopped to chat with my friend's grandma! She was taken aback at how kind and professional they were and gives her full recommendation; Furniture Exchange is the best and they care about their customers. Can't recommend any place more

When we decided on our furniture, we were told that the Olympic set made by Simmons was not in the color we wanted. However, the salesman offered us the set in chocolate and would take $50 off the warranty protection. He checked his stock prior to offering this to us - he wanted to make sure that he had what we wanted in stock and actually did this after we said we wanted the lighter color. Anyways, we went ahead and decided to go with the chocolate set since they had it in stock and it would be up to 4 weeks for the lighter set to come in. We were told that the set would be delivered within 45 minutes. Three hours later, I still had not heard from anyone and our furniture was not delivered. I then called American Freight back and was told that they had tried to contact me but did not have a working number, when they did have my phone number. I was told that there was a "price discrepancy" in my favor and that he charged me for the wrong recliners so I needed to come back in and allow them to redo the sale and refund the difference. I did this and then again waited for delivery. When the furniture arrived, the recliners were NOT what we ordered and were NOT what we had looked at. We had not even looked at the model that arrived at our house. In addition, it was a different shade of chocolate than the couch. We sent the recliners back because no one had told me or my husband that we were actually purchasing DIFFERENT recliners, ones that were shorter and definitely not as comfortable. I felt very much taken advantage of and that the salesman thought I was an idiot. My husband called them and the salesman said "I must not have explained it correctly." Not once was I told that the recliners that we agreed to were also not available, in addition to the original set we wanted. If they would have just been honest and upfront from the start, we probably would have continued to shop with American Freight. However, we will NOT purchase from American Freight again because of this one horrible incident, which is very sad because everything else has been great that we purchased. We also have lots of friends and family and are very involved in the community and they will definitely hear about this customer service issue and dishonesty.

If someone dug into my Yelp history enough, they would see a very unfavorable review I wrote about a Mattress Firm in Las Vegas a few years back that was a complete customer service fail on epic proportions. And I had no hesitation to share that epic fail with the Yelp world. So when my folks were looking for a new mattress, although I am familiar with the 2000+ stores of the Mattress Firm chain, my red flags kind of when up based on my very poor experience in Las Vegas. The sales person Isaac who assisted us while in this Terre Haute store and through the purchase was knowledgable, helpful, encouraged us to communicate with him if there was a hiccup along the way (for I was anticipating a screw up based on prior experience) and in the end he delivered on a new mattress quickly and on time as promised. Isaac has an absolutely no pressure and quiet demeanor, but understands the mattress world and was able to communicate that with the needs of what my folks were seeking. No high pressure, just suggesting we test different firmness levels we might like. Even though we hadn't planned on making a purchase on that visit, once we identified the exact mattress we wanted, the prices due to the President's day sale, were too good to pass up. Trevor's knowledge and help definitely made the difference and was the reason we bought that day. The delivery in a large box truck was made as scheduled and the gentlemen that put the mattress in place and removed our old mattress were cordial and efficient. At the west side firm, the employee took a break from smoking weed in her car to give us a tour I guess. She ended up buying a Saatva mattress that was a comfort return. Ken educated her on the process of what happens when Saatva gets a returned mattress. (We have a Saatva mattress that we ordered online and can attest to the great quality.) The price they paid compared to purchasing direct from Saatva was amazing. She also purchased a box springs and rails. Everything was delivered the next day. It was a seamless purchase and they couldn't be more thrilled. What I received was not super soft, it was the complete extreme and is a super hard mattress. I had loved the previous two mattresses that I had purchased from Bender's. They were like sleeping on a cloud. But this mattress is so terrible I wake up every morning with so much pain in my low back, literally have to crawl out of bed and am numb from my shoulder down to my fingers. I would love to have this reconciled and a new mattress that should be the one I ordered. It doesn't help that I paid almost $2,000 for a mattress that is so terrible.

The old mattress became very lop-sided and would not resume it's original contour after turning. Previous to moving, my wife and I had slept on a high-quality Sterns & Foster for over 25 years. The Sterns & Foster was an excellent mattress, but it was a queen-sized model and too large for my new apartment. Bender has a range of high-quality innerspring mattresses and I selected one that had features like the Sterns & Foster. Bender has models with varying degrees of firmness. I selected a model near the upper end of firmness, and I'm happy with it. The price was reasonable, considering the quality of construction. Bender offers a satisfaction guarantee. They will substitute a different model if the firmness or quality of the mattress is unsatisfactory. The new mattress was delivered on the promised day, and the delivery men hauled away the old mattress at no extra charge. I'm very satisfied with the firmness and the quality of the new mattress and the service I've received.
