All through the project, Darbi provided information and pictures. She asked us many questions and listened to us. Her goal was to provide us with a landscape that we would love, but that also makes sense for the desert environment. Darbi works with a contracted named Jeff. It was our choice to use him or not. We did. He and his workers did a fantastic job cleaning up the property, putting in irrigation, and planting. Darbi worked with him closely, overseeing all aspects of the work. I was looking for a complete overhaul of our back patio and contracted garden gate to do a…read morelandscape engineering design proposal, which they charged me $500 for. The architect produced some drawings which required minor adjustments, which were done fairly quickly. When I originally contracted with them, I gave him my budget that we wanted to stay within. Once I got the drawings we found the budget estimate it was approximately double what I told them. About that time the architect engineer quit/resigned/or was let go and the responsibilities to my project were transferred to the owners son Tyler. Tyler seemed like a decent guy, but he depended on inside design work which took time and usually the changes were not what we asked for and we're in violation of issues which I brought up. I asked for some re-pricing and rework which didn't happen and my phone calls were not returned. Eventually we obtained had pricing from two other local companies for the same work. We increased our budget and found we were willing to pay more but Garden Gate Landscaping abandoned us with very little correspondence. Even though their final pricing was comparable to my other quotes, I would not trust them to initiate and complete the job in a timely manner. It was not a good experience. The contractor we used named Tucson Professional Landscaping performed a superior job in a very timely manner. I would not recommend Garden Gate.
