After that good experience I brought a treasured vintage handbag to them. It is 50 years old. It is petite point on leather and the needlework was separated from the leather. She looked the bag over. She said she could repair it, but suggested I do it myself. She sold me the glue I would need and showed me how to place the glue and clamp the bag. I was nervous, but it worked wonderfully. Initially, I dropped off the shoe and was told I would get a call with an estimate. I dropped them off on a Saturday and had heard nothing by the following Sunday so I reached out via Facebook messenger and left my number. I was called back by Farrell, the owner, and given a quote, a time estimate and an option to pay via PayPal (they don't do credit cards). Once that was all squared away, Clarke's went to work on my shoe. When it was finished Farrell called me to let me know I could pick it up and explained a little about what he did to the shoe. While Bel Air is a bit of a drive for me, the customer service and quality of the work that Clarke's provided means I will be returning in the future.
