About 8 years ago, my Toyota Rav 4 was involved bon a hit and run. Intact insurance went to Boyd Auto body to get it fixed. It took weeks longer then promised, but I guess that happens. Fast forward a few years ago, I noticed rust on my vehicle, only on the section Boyd replaced ! The rest of the vehicle is fine except the part they replaced which is worse now ! I can now see why Intact doesn't use this company vany more! read more

I was intending to be a repeat customer at Boyd Autobody & Glass on Edmonton Trail NE., but they absolutely ignored my request to book in for repair. I had an insurance claim a couple of years back for hail damage so I thought I would use them again for a minor repair on some parking lot damage. I had no issue with getting the quote and it was quite efficient actually. After deciding to book with them again, I had two email attempts to book the repair ignored completely and a follow up message to the manger was also ignored. It seems that they are just too busy to provide any kind of customer service and I strongly recommend selecting a shop that is willing to communicate with you as a customer. If this is how they approach front end of a job, I suspect they may approach the actual work in a similar manner. read more

I recently brought my car in for repair here as it is an authorized repair facility for my insurance company. From start to finish I was highly impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. I have never needed this kind of repair work done and I was intimidated by the process as well as how it works with insurance etc. They did a great job of explaining everything. I know it isnt always easy to put yourself in someone elses shoes when they know the industry inside and out so I really appreciated their patience with my questions. They didn't make me feel silly at all for not knowing all the steps we'd have to take. When I brought my car in for an appraisal they tried to do a "pre-order" so that they'd have the parts ready for my appointment later in the week but the damage was too much for them to do that. It is good though that they try to do that for simpler repairs as it would ultimately save the customer time. When I brought my car in a few days later, I overheard they have shuttle service to the train for those who don't have a rental vehicle or other transportation. In my case, they called the rental company for me so I could be picked up quickly. That was really handy. Within a few hours they had assessed my car fully and submitted it to my insurance company. They called to let me know all that had been done and they'd await word from my insurance. I appreciated being kept in the loop. Unfortunately a week or so later the insurance company opted to write off the car :(. When I returned to pick up my belongings from my car they were really helpful and took me out to their yard to find the car. A nice service man in the parking lot directed me where to go and another man offered to help me transfer my belongings from one car to the other. I hope I never need body repair to future vehicles but if I do, I would definitely bring these guys my business. They are top notch, very professional and organized (you should see their filing/job system on their office wall-its a colour coders dream). One added touch...they have a wrinkle dog as part of their logo/brand (WE take out the wrinkles is their slogan). Not only do they have a stuffed animal version in their reception area but as a dog person I was delighted to see that there is a resident real wrinkle dog roaming the lobby and office area. It kept to itself and seemed to be supervising everyone which I thought was great :) read more

I can remember it like it was yesterday. The day was Family Day. I was at Northland Mall McDonalds. I had stopped in for some greasy eats before heading in to work. Yes, I needed to work on a holiday, which is why I needed the moral support of food so bad for me it defies description. I was leaving McDonalds with a stomach full of shame and a smile on my face. The sun was bright, the birds were singing and all was well with the world. As I approached a right hand turn (at regular parking lot speeds, I might add), it happened: A van with a hitch backed RIGHT out of their stall and right into the side of my beautiful 2006 Acura TL. It was a surreal moment. Had someone seriously just backed right into the side of my car? Sadly, yes. And sadly, right in between the two doors. And sadder still, their hitch had scraped along both. This was definitely going to need a repair and a paint job. My McDonalds churned in my stomach. Ironically I had not purchased a drink to "Save money", but this stood to be the most expensive McDonalds trip I'd ever made in my entire life. I briefly debated the existential impossibilities of accidents. What if I had taken just a few more bites of my burger? What if I had stopped to use the washroom? What if I had parked somewhere else?! None of this ever would have happened. I don't know if I believe in fate, but the statistical impossibilities of it all were mind numbing. Every second, I could be one small action away from death, disaster, fame, fortune.... oh, what a head trip! But let's get back to the story. After clearing things up with my insurance company, we took the car to Concours so they could fix up my wounded babe-magnet. And fix it up they DID! First let me comment on the professionalism of the staff - everyone here was courteous and nice. When I called to check in on my car the receptionist let me know it was in the production line, but unfortunately could not give me an exact time it would be done. I understand how it goes. She promised she'd call as soon as it was ready. I then got a call later in the evening from a gentleman letting me know the car was done and I could come get it. I told him I needed to come by the next day - no problem. I picked up my car this morning. The repair job is immaculate. The car was squeaky clean. You couldn't tell the vehicle had ever suffered horrible superficial damage at the hands of a negligent driver who didn't check their rearview. Now, it's possible that my review is so positive because I didn't wind up footing the bill (not at fault? Oh HELL yeah), but the kind gentleman walked me through the invoice and explained all of the different numbers and notations. I really appreciated knowing exactly what they did to my car and how long it took. As a cherry on the cake, Concours left a plushy stuffed dog on my dashboard as a calling card. I'm not one for stuffed animals, but this will make a suitable gift to a beautiful woman who IS. Thanks for helping me with my game, Concours. You're the best. In a nutshell, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. At all. In fact if I was rich I might damage my cars deliberately just to have them repaired here again - though that seems a bit much. read more

Let's face it: getting a quote for car repair -- especially if it's as a result of a unfortunate "incident" with another car -- can be unpleasant. All I can say is that Concours made it as pain-free and easy as it possibly can be. From the time I called to make an appointment for the estimate (and encountered an intake operator who was so sympathetic and personable I wanted to add her as a Facebook friend) to the time I picked up the car (about six days *earlier* than quoted!) it was an altogether positive experience. They coordinated a rental car to show up instantaneously, and their quote for the repair came in at the lowest of the three estimates I got. They deposited a cute stuffed Sharpei puppy on my dash (ties in with their trademark and slogan) with a customer satisfaction survey around his neck -- I applaud that savvy marketing and would not hesitate to suggest them to friends who find themselves in a similar situation. The one negative? (And I'm splitting hairs here..) -- my radio stations were fiddled with. I had to re-program them all. As with any service people who work on your "stuff", they should try to minimize their "footprint" in your life and (besides the amazing repair) make it as though they'd never been there. You wouldn't want a guy working on your hardwood floors to watch your TV. I don't want an autobody shop to delete CBC Stereo off my favorites. 'Nuff said! They're awesome! read more

I've had 2 great Concours experiences with my car. First a fender bender repair which is perfect, including a paint blend that I was concerned about. This work was carried out at the Concours Crowfoot location. Second, a BIG hail damage repair, also perfect. This was handled at the Concours South location and was done entirely by the paintless dent repair process (Brilliant!). I couldn't be happier: fussy guy, nice car, total satisfaction. Concours staff treated me, and more importantly my car, with total professionalism and respect throughout both processes; 100% recommended! read more

Took my truck in to get it repair, was suppose to be 3 weeks but took 6 weeks to repair, got back and the the workmanship was bad. Told the manager (Lenny) about it and he said to give him a few days to get it done right. Got it back and the work wasn't done proper, the manager said that's the way the vehicle is suppose to be like.... Not satisfied and bad craftsmanship. BE WARN!! read more

From the first phone call to check pricing and availability to the final phone call to book an appointment both the courtesy and professionalism were uplifting. The actual appointment was right on time with no waiting and was done so fast I didn't even have time to finish my coffee. Tark Sadden, the GM, informed me it was done and came out to personally confirm that it was to my satisfaction. I've never been treated with this level of respect and consideration and don't expect to again until I return to Concours Collision Centres for my next auto repair. read more

I had someone back into the passenger side corner of my BMW convertible in a parking garage. It's a car, and stuff happens, so did the usual and took it to Concourse to get it fixed. IT was about $4000 in work according to the estimate, so a nice bit of work for a shop. They did a fine job, as good as any other place, but I have to say they won't do more than the bare minimum for you as a customer. Which is fine, if that's what you look for in a business. Here's the story. Being that they have a small parking lot, they refused to keep the car for me until I got back from working out of town. I work out of town for a couple of weeks at a stretch, sometimes longer on rare occasions, and I don't get back until 8:00pm on Friday, and they close at 5:30, and remain closed all weekend and the car's are locked up. They said this is their policy, as "they are not a storage facility" they could street park it, and I would have to get a friend to come get the keys. She can't drive stick, and unfortunately being a bit new in my return to Calgary, I discover that none of my friends can drive a stick either, shameful, I know, time for some new friends! Anyhow,, So fine, it's street parked, and of course it snows, street gets plowed, and it's plowed in in a 2 hour parking zone. Anyhow, I shovel to my hearts content, dig the beast out, and still no good, all the ice and snow with those slippery summer tires, as I said, summer car, convertible, it's not budging til the next melt. I eventually get it free a week later, and take it to Visions next door where it is stored nicely for me while they put new speakers into it (thanks guys!, it sounds great!). I get it home cover it up in the garage, and start dreaming of top down motoring come the spring, which, as of May second seems to have arrived. So I get it out and notice the fog lights aren't in the bumper and the bumper is cracked a bit. I also notice a wheel welting is missing. So, I take it back and they let me know they will take care of it, bla bla bla. Long story short, or less long as I scan my many words above, they advise me that they did put the lights in, the bumper was pre accident, and they fixed installed the missing welting. Exactly and only what they are required to do. Had they hung onto my car, knowing my situation, it wouldn't have been in harms way for a vandal to steal the lights and damage the electrical leads, which I am sure is what happened to it, mugged on a dark street for it's fog lights, sad story. So this is what I figure, if it were my business, and I had a policy that let a customer come to harm, I'd pony up a $150 bucks on a $4000 repair job to ease that pain a bit, and get some pretty solid good will. I was pretty tersely advised that: A) my "circumstances were not their problem" B) "they are not a storage facility", but did "see my car stranded out front" for a few days after they moved it C) clearly someone "needed my fog lights more than I did" Sure, all these things are true. What this business lost out on was an opportunity to take responsibility for the harm their policy had allowed to come to a customer. Circumstances beyond my, or their control. They did what they were obligated to do and no more. What this says to me is "We did our work, we have our profit, and what happens to you after is not our problem". Would I recommend them, Nah, can't say I would. Their work was as good as anyone else, they forgot a small bit or trim, but that's a small oversight, and they popped it onto the car in a few hours. But there are quite a few good places out there that can do that. If you want a place that will go the extra few feet, not even the extra mile, and owns up when they put you in a bind, Concourse Collisions isn't the place. Save the stuffed animals, I don't need help with my "game", I need to know that I'll get taken care of and that my service provider will go a little bit above and beyond the call of duty to minimize my stress. read more

Brought vehicle in for bumper repair. Was told they needed this for four days. I rented a car for four days. They called me back the next day stating they had to order further parts and would not be able to get them for two weeks. They stated they had to put my bumper back on and to pick up my vehicle. This shop completely wasted my time and schedule. I traveled in from out of the city to have this repair done and took time off work. Only to be told that I would have to come back another time to complete. From what a Concours employee told me is that they over booked work that week as it was after the long weekend and they wanted to push more expensive repairs out first than to fix my lower cost bumper repair. I stated this to the business that they wasted my time and that I had to return the rental only to do this all over again at a later time. I stated if I have to return from out of the city and take more time off work for this repair and have to go through the hassle of renting another car that they better at least compensate me with other incentive to keep my business. I suggested polish my headlights. The management refused this. I ended up taking my vehicle to a real professional and reputable shop in Calgary. When they inspected the vehicle they noticed three things regarding Concours alleged work. One that the bumper was never taken off before as Concours claimed they did. As well Concours missed some hidden damage. My headlight was cracked from the impact. Which would eventually have caused water and failure. I purchased this vehicle new ten years ago and the reputable body shop stated the bumper bolts had no scratch marks or indication that anyone has every taken it off before. The third thing the new shop stated was that they could get any part within 24 hrs of which Concours stated would take two weeks. This other reputable body shop had ordered my parts, painted and installed in two days, bumper cover and headlight. I would not recommend anyone to go to Concours in Calgary, all they care about is money not the customer. Save yourself the headache and waste of time. I would expect more from their management when I escalated my complaint to them, but just received more lies and unprofessionalism. read more

It was a few years ago that we had our family van repaired at this shop in the SE. All I can say is the nightmare continues and we are continually reminded of the poor job that this shop had done. It just seemed that there wasn't any pride in their work. We had the rear hatch door repaired after it was in a rear-end collision. I happened to ask to have the windshield repaired at the same time and that turned out to be a mistake too. When they called to say the van was repaired I returned the rental vehicle and was taken to the shop. After a short visit with my van I was back at the rental shop to drive home a rental once again leaving my van to hopefully be repaired correctly. It was so dissapointing that they would return a vehicle to the owner when it had been so poorly repaired. Here is what we have found out about our van since we left it in their hands..... Initially when I drove a block away from the shop wind was coming through the windshield. It hadn't been installed correctly. Had nobody checked their work? Windshields not installed correctly are such a safety hazard to a vehicle. The back hatch continues to leak water when I go through a carwash. Screws have fallen out of the inside panel on the back hatch. Several of the screws used aren't the correct ones as they don't match up with the ones used on the opposite side. Since the correct screws weren't used some areas are stripped and other areas are cracked and broken. The locking mechanism couldn't have been installed correctly because just over a year later it stopped working and we couldn't open the hatch at all. The rear winshield wiper doesn't spray water anymore and the wiper doesn't seem to spring open like it used too when you are manually cleaning the windshield and want the wiper out of the way. The outside cover strip over the licence plate has one stripped screw and the otherside no screw at all. It is stuck in place and it makes us think that they just glued it to the vehicle as we are bewildered how it being held on. Yes, this was an authorized repair facility from our insurance company, but I would never trust this shop to do a proper repair again. After several return visits around when the repairs were done and now a few years later, we are still encountering problems related to their work. read more

We were in the accident for the first time and were in total devastation when our vehicle got damaged. We are very picky customers and everything needs to be done perfect in order to be acceptable for us. Of course lots of time has been taken to research on the appropriate body-shops that will meet our expectations and finally we found Concours Collision, seems to have a good reputation, has 3 location, big facilities, not whole lot of reviews online for Calgary bodyshops so it was challenging to decide. So, we went to Concours collision centre that is closest to us which is South at 42 Ave, SW, near Heritage Shopping Centre and from the first call I realized that there is a world of a difference between Concours and other bodyshops that we have dealt in the past. We got connected to Tark Sadden - general manager there. He was kind enough to go over the whole process with us over the phone a couple of times, addressed all of our concerns regarding vehicle repair and bringing it to that perfect spotless condition as it was before the accident. We felt that we were treated extremely professionally and at the same time Tark was compassionate to our situation and was able to address to all of our worries. After phone conversations, we visited the body-shop where Tark went over the whole repair process again and gave us a tour of his repair facility. We were amazed by their repair facility, extremely clean, very organized, with areas marked for different parts of repairs, it looked like a small production plant that you see on TV. Tark was very honest with us and explained that there could be some issues with the type of vehicle that we have but he will try to do his best. We were very confident after talking with him and didn't worry anymore after we left the vehicle for the repair. As expected, the repair process went quickly and smooth, the result exceeded expectations, the communication was open and we were kept in the loop on everything that was going on. Everything was exactly how it was described before. On the day of pick-up, our baby was sitting there waiting for us in a perfect shape, everything was done meticulously, the vehicle was spotless and shiny as it was before the accident and on the dashboard there was a stuffed doggy waiting for us, such a nice final touch! So, I would totally recommend this shop to anybody who is out there looking for a good professional shop that is so rare here in Calgary. Nothing is hidden from you, everything is explained, you are kept in the loop, your car is not abused or cramped with other cars, the repair team was awesome as well, the result came out perfect, extremely professional, the reception stuff very friendly. Bottom line not a single complain. If you are like me, tired of dealing with unprofessional shops that promise a lot and then undeliver, then save yourself from trouble and go with Concours, South location. To me, they are the best in the city. I never write any sort of reviews, only the ones that I feel like worth my time and this one definitely is. I will post it on various portals when I was doing my research and couldn't find anything decent to help out and contribute. read more
