Did some online hunting and landed on Automotive Collision Specialists, Inc. Let's call them ACS. Made an appointment and got an estimate. Very easy. First thing I noticed on the estimate was that ACS was gonna use OEM parts. Other shops I went to wanted to install Made in China parts. I appreciated the fact that ACS would use the best parts available for my car. Also got some modest encouragement about paint quality which was important to me. So I brought the car in on a Monday. They said it would likely be done by Friday. So far all sounded good, but a hiccup entered the process. They had ordered a new bumper cover (the visible external plastic bumper) plus a plastic valence which snaps into the bottom of the bumper cover. This valence part arrived but was damaged in shipping. It was packed in a plastic bag with zero protection against impact injuries. They proceeded to return that part and ordered a second. No good. A third was ordered. No good. A fourth came in, and they thought it might be OK but called me to come take a look. I did and though close to 100%, it still was damaged. Another reorder was done at my request (with no arguments, BTW), and it took the dealer two days, but they got a good part out to the ACS shop. Got a heads-up on this. So the car was quickly completed, and I came over to pick it up. It was literally perfect. Paint, fit of bumper, exhaust pipe alignments, etc. Everything like new. Car was spotless inside and out. Very impressive. I had met some of the guys at ACS. So . . . Ethan, Gary and Alan, thank you for a great job. And please thank the guys in the back for the excellent professional work they did for me.

We live 2.5 hours away and I was told I can drive there every 3 days to get a temporary one. Who has time for that and with WHAT CAR, since I was also told if I get pulled over and get a ticket because of an expired plate I will be responsible since it's not their fault. I wish they would call me back as much as they called me when they were trying to sell me the car. They have done nothing to try to make this right. Do better!
