Today we purchased stuffed clams, crab cakes, and a large salmon fish head. We roasted the fish head spiced with fresh parsley, curry, salt, pepper, dill, and lemon juice along with heirloom tomatoes. See photo for picture. Yes, the salmon head was enough for two at lunchtime. We loved it! We are having the crab cakes and stuffed clams tonight. The seafood department is a favorite of ours, but let's not forget about others at this fine store. Fresh produce is always just as they claim--fresh! The selection is broad. The meat and deli departments are noteworthy--varied cuts of beef, poultry selection galore, sliced cheeses/meats, and unique salads. Note that homemade shrimp salad is at the seafood counter. Fresh-baked desserts, wide frozen dessert and shelves stacked full of dry goods makes Weis ideal for your shopping pleasure.

I had turned around to consult with my son about New Years dinner. I told her I was just about to close it, and she said yeah right, do you do that at home. I admit she hit a nerve I've worked in customer service for 35 years, and I never thought it was alright to make inappropriate comments to customers. I wanted to hit her, but I didn't. I worked on Christmas in a store that is essential, and is open 24/7- 365, (I work every holiday, full shifts, unless it falls on Saturday or Sunday) we were slammed on Christmas and understaffed, and then I had to go home and cook Christmas dinner. But telling me she had to work on Christmas because of a refrigeration issue because of people like me was not the way to go. I shop at Giant because I don't like the cocky attitude And lack of customer service at WALMART. Seriously, I am in there once a week. Typically, on Saturday so I seriously doubt that I had anything to do with the issue that caused her to have to work on Christmas. She is on the clock being paid to be nice, it is part of the job. I would have never gotten so upset, had she kept her comments to herself, or at least muttered them under her breath to herself.

When I approached she totallty ignored the situation and me. I kindly asked her if she would move her cart so I could get by. So instead of keeping her stupid ignorant mouth shut and moving the cart so that I could pass, The associate had the unmitigated gaul to tell me that she is working.... This self entitled rude associate expected the "Customer" along with the others to just stand there while she continued working blocking shoppers from passing the isle. Incidentally there was no reason to block the entire aisle! Lucky for her she moved the cart. I told her I am the Customer! Walmart should have a separate Warehouse to pick these online orders. This interrupting customers all the time is nonsense. I am not taking second fiddle to online shopping . I have zero tolerance for disrespectful people. I strongly suggest ALL employees including Managers and Assistant managers randomly be drug screened. I don't believe Any sober employee would represent themselves in such a fowl manner. Walmart evidently will hire any one these days. Walk down the egg aisle Most but not all egg prices are not posted. The popular dozen eggs has No price label to be found? Lifting the front row of eggs up some to see if there was a price tag on the shelf possibly being obscured and there is nothing there. Sadly its been this way for Years! Way before the Egg Scam!! The bathrooms are clean. This past week my mother (86 years old) and I were doing some shopping when we were approached and asked to leave. Why? Because they found a gas leak and wanted to make sure everyone was safe. I was so impressed with how every employee was making sure the customers exited in a safe and fast manner. The smell of gas was overwhelming!! Truly. Now for what annoyed the F out of me...there were customers who were so ignorant and stupid that they were upset that they could not finish their shopping as if it was an intentional thing. And still others KNOWING why they were evacuated milled around the entrance SMOKING! WTHF!? ‍ Stupid is as stupid does! Anyway, I appreciate the employees at this store. We order about 10 rounds and end up putting some in the freezer. We call to order as I am not aware of any online option. The staff is always very friendly and we have never had any problems. There are other delicacies available, but I'm not familiar with the options. The only other item we've tried is the fresh Tyrolean sausage (which is also very good), but we prefer the dried.
