They will add on charges and extras that aren't listed and all of a sudden it's $1000 more than what was listed. They will ignore you for weeks!!! They don't communicate. My booking feel through with them and what a blessing in disguise that was. I ended up finding a better rv with a better price and with a lot more options with free mileage and unlimited generator use and wonderful hosts and no extra add ons out of nowhere. We rented an RV through this company as an attempt to make the best of our Honeymoon that was cancelled due to COVID. I wish we had just gone through a reputable company rather than this business. There was SO MUCH wrong with the RV we rented and customer service was horrible. Beginning with it being a DIFFERENT RV than the one pictured in the listing. Same model, different RV, with no awning. Don't even bother, find yourself a reputable rental company. I should've read the darn reviews before renting from this place. I booked this listing over 2 months in advanced. Then a week before the owner texts stating there will be "insurance fees" that weren't listed anywhere prior to renting. We showed up (giving the owner heads up that we were on the way), only to have three people ask what I was renting. Then they attempted to put us in a RV that had the awning ripped off, wires exposed on the exterior, and a side mirror being held on with decking screws. We didn't even go inside of it, stating we were not driving over 1,000 miles in a vehicle in that condition. So, they gave us an "upgraded newer version", great right? Not quite. Thankfully we were able to make the best out of what we had. But there were literally 25+ things wrong with the RV, ranging from the transmission slipping, to the fridge and freezer not working (causing us to throw out a bunch of food), screens being broken, AC being intermittent, doors/drawers not working, no stereo or working TV, I mean, the list is seriously ridiculous. So, I informed the owner and requested he be present for our drop off, shocker that didn't happen. I tried to call when we arrived, only to be sent to voicemail with a "I'll call you back message". We dropped off the RV at 11am, and here we are 5 hours later with no text or call back, even after sending the list of problems we had with this vehicle. Basically, this company is a joke. Would not recommend...called night before rental and said our unit had to be changed out with something smaller. We still had to pay same price though because it was newer which...I would've preferred the extra space. But...okay, I'd let it slide because at least we still got to go. For anyone seeking to rent an RV for Spring Break, Country Thunder, a summer vacation or just a weekend camping trip, BE AWARE of who you rent from and DO NOT rent from Brandon at Boys Toys Rental (Mesa, AZ). They advertise through Outdoorsy.com, rvshare.com, Craigslist.org and probably other platforms I'm not aware of. They operate out of a lot on E. Erie Street, east of S. Mountain Road in east Mesa. I won't give the exact address because I don't believe the owners of the lot are associated with the business. We rented from Brandon twice, first time wasn't a pleasant experience, the second time was supposed to be a "I want to earn your business back" rental. He will take your deposit, swap out the rental you wanted (happened in both cases) saying "the previous renters haven't returned the unit" he promises he will "make things right" if you have a problem with your rental and then he will ghost you and not return your multiple calls and text messages. The units are dirty and falling apart and he doesn't seem to care as they don't encourage a walk-around before you take possession of the unit. The public and the named rental platforms need to be aware of this guy and cease doing business with and allowing him to advertise so others don't get scammed. He acts professional until you rent his garbage. Many customers have reported the exact same behavior I've experienced. I am one to give someone the benefit of the doubt and even willing to turn by back on petty things. Normally, I am also one to refrain from company reputation-bashing but when I get burned twice and see so many other unhappy customers, I make it my mission to inform other unsuspecting and potential customers. Please read my story before doing business with them. I'm extremely regretting my decision of trusting the yelp review from the most recent while ignoring the bad ones from previous They promised a 25 foot RV when I reached Brandon( the owner) 2 weeks before to the reservation date and we reached an agreement with the pricing for RV rental of 11 days, 2500 miles of travel, insurance and other miscellaneous for a total of around $2700 and sent him the $500 deposit. The day of the reservation he text me saying that the one he promised is having electrical issues so he have to upgrade me to a 30 feet RV for the same price. Which I don't want to because it's like driving a bus but I said fine I'll take it if it's the only choice. After picking up the RV he keep on encouraging me to leave Phoenix by that night to avoid the heat but I refused because I want to meet up with a friend and buy some supplies first. Turns out the 30ft RV was crap, it looks fine(oldish) but the fridge didn't work, ac quit working if the RPM is above 3000 and I was experiencing extreme vibration( death wobble) while driving only 2 hours after I left his shop. So I return to his shop after my supply run and ask for a different RV if possible. He said the only one that's available is the other one which is newer but I have to pay $300 more. The other option will be wait till tomorrow morning for him to fix it. Fearing for my safety i decide to take the loss and pay him $300 more because he refuse to upgrade without extra charge. Our journey begins and everything was fine until the 3rd day of our trip. we stop at the Antelope canyon and decide to make a meal before going on the tour but only to find the fridge failed and all our food(specially the freezer) was warm and melted. Called Brandon to ask what's going on he have no idea and only ask me to keep turning it off and on. After 30 mins of trying to work it out it finally turned back on. We threw out the spoiled food and have to repurchase some at the Walmart. The 4th day, after making a stop at a rest area we decide to take a break and cook some food, only to find this time the generator doesn't want to turn on. Called Brandon again and he said he don't know, only thing I can do is wait 30 mins and start it again. Still didn't work so we just give up because it's too hot without the central AC(which runs on the generator), only to find out that the generator don't like to work after 6 hours on the road( which it should work in that condition) but works fine after parking the night at the camp after it "cool off" or give it 45mins if it's under 3 hour on the r Anyway the trip was good but these poor maintenance of equipment really ruins a good chunk of our experience but the story doesn't end there. After dropping off the RV with promised amount of gas he said he will look at it tomorrow morning and ask me to leave. Now I'm over two thousand miles away in my hometown he text me again saying that out of the $500 for my deposit he's only going to return about $220 back. He said the list of extra charges includes $75 for extra 300 miles( which I don't mind) $25 for gas ( which I returned the RV at the promised amount) and $180 for cleaning because it's disgusting. I immediately text him back because the most disgusting part of the cleaning is the freezer because of our melted food juice due to the fridge malfunction. I further explained to him how it happen and explaining how his poor maintenance of his equipment has ruin most part of my trip because I have to call him multiple times for solution to fix his malfunction equipment and constantly check on the fridge once every 2-3 hours fearing of malfunction again( it did for a couple times) and his generator is not dependable. I only want him to not charge me the cleaning fee because it's not my fault but he wouldn't listen and charge me anyway. If i could give 0 stars I would. These people are a scam especially the guy named Brandon. He stole my security deposit money and told me it would be refunded at the end and now all the sudden he just doesn't know how to respond. First off the trailer we rented looked nothing like the trailer he had told us we were renting, it was not even the same layout and when I asked him about it he was very dismissive about it. The trailer we walked in to was filthy dirty, dog hair everywhere, dust and dirt everywhere, trash in the bathroom, and even toilet paper leftover from the previous people in the toilet. I had mentioned to him that we were going to country thunder knowing that there was probably an additional cleaning fee for that event due to how dusty and dirty it is out there and there was. We paid a total of $2,775 that included the rental fee plus delivery and pickup, the $500 REFUNDABLE deposit, $100 sanitation for the specific event, and $175 for unlimited use of the generator (which we had to put more gas in on our second day). Moral of the story we only rented the trailer to sleep in and was not in the trailer except to change, use the restroom, and sleep. So the most we contributed to it was the dust from the field and I paid a specific cleaning fee so I am not sure why he would be trying to charge me for cleaning. I have inserted screenshots of our conversations and how many times I have reached out to him in regards to getting our security deposit back. This is the second rental we've done through this company. The first rental was very beat up, had a bad battery, non-functional fridge, and a toilet that leaked onto the floor of the trailer - was not a good experience. We decided that must have been a fluke and gave them another shot. This last weekend we again rented a trailer and generator. The generator never worked, so all weekend we had a cold, dark trailer. No lights, no heat. The propane tanks were also low and the generator was empty. Rent at your own risk. read more

complete nightmare. 0 star a one is a compliment. i reserved this RV a few months before as we had a yearly event requiring larger RV. i got there and it was not ready or did it work so i waited for almost 4 hrs, they were apologetic and did offer a trailer or smaller rv but i needed larger one for this trip and explained i wanted to leave that day and i could not rent another rv on short notice which i should have tried from another company. they continued to try to repair and then took it to a repair place while i waited there. First off the pictures of the listing were from when they bought it in 2019 , This thing was hammered it was a Piece of crap. nothing worked, blown out window with plexiglass ducted taped to the outside while using napkins to prevent it from flapping-0which did not work. The Inverter did not work so you had to run the generator the whole time, when you plugged in to shore power only 2 outlets worked so you had to run extension cords all over to run the refrigerator, tv and any other appliance. there was 4 tvs in this unit, not one worked correctly-not one remote control had batteries, i personally replaced one the main tv with my own and was never reimbursed. it rained on us and the roof leaked bad around the ac unit. The dinette was broken so you could only use it as a bed, the bench for the dinette was broken, broken glass and rat poop under the dinette benches, the refrigerator had to be strapped down to prevent all the doors opening. i spent 5 hrs working on the unit before i could use it. the passenger slide out table was broken. The unit was never washed, cracked windshield, windows and skylights. There was not camera system or radio in the unit that worked so driving was terrible, the front sway bars were broken or shocks bad so at 65mph it would sway 6" side to side. The power down bed would not go up correctly so you could not sit in the passenger side. i could keep going on. Also the Company that rents this Boys Toys are complete crooks, they recommended their RV insurance i gave them 300 bucks but before i took possession of the RV i submitted insurance from Farmers for this RV they said they would give it back and did not. The RV was so bad and unsafe, i flew my family back from Oklahoma. i have pictures and videos of this. They said they would take care of me on the pricing discounts and give money back for insurance and TV and never got call or email back. i would not rent from these guys, please see other reviews i did not notice them. i have tons of video and pictures that i could not load on here. read more

In a nutshell - Brandon called two days before our reservation to switch us to a different RV than what we reserved. Apparently that is part of his business practice. Read the reviews from others. The RV was in horrible condition and not all the components worked. When I called to complain, Brandon talked a good talk and said that he's make it right. I assumed he was a man of his word. Was referred to Boys Toys by Arizona Adventure Rentals after they messaged at 830 the night before Pick up that the Rv we rented was returned with a bunch of issues they were trying to fix before pick up. Friday morning comes and they were unable to fix. So since we were all ready to go we went ahead and went with the referral even though it was going to cost us over $300 more and was a 45 min drive to pick up. We get there and the unit is not as decent as the pictures sent, It was definitely wore down and tired but plans were already made and in action and we didn't have many options at this point. To start, the generator wouldn't start (needed oil) next, the batteries were not holding a charge and the tech said it was only because they had been sitting for 2 weeks. The outside of Rv was dirty and I'm not talking about just dirt. It looked like it drove thru a huge storm of bugs multiple times. We left the property and right away noticed that the roof vent in the front was completely gone. I messaged Brandon and he said we could come back & replace or we could just put a bag in it if it rains. We stop in Payson and my husband checks batteries and they are still not holding a charge. I message Brandon & let him know they are not holding charge & that we'd be needing to use the generator more than normal he said he finds it hard to believe and that he'd rather us buy batteries and he'd reimburse us than us use the generator more. We finally get to our destination and of course the batteries kept dying. At this point we could have saved ourselves some $$ and just slept in tents. We were cold all night since we couldn't keep the generator running at night and the batteries wouldn't hold a charge. And due to the issues we had Brandon did return our $500 deposit. If I could rate less than one star, I would. Please be weary of this renter, and read this post in its entirety. The entire transaction was less than professional. Mind you, this business is run out of the owners backyard. When I picked up the trailer, I was greeted by two guys who which made me feel as though I was a bother to them. Hooked the trailer to the truck and was not going to be given any information unless I asked. Towed it home to discover the fridge didn't work.. to which the owner replied, "bring an ice chest". Every single cabinet in the trailer had the laminate peeling off, the table was held together with duct tape, almost all the blinds were damaged, there was a window held closed with a zip tie, and there was a random wheel in the trailer taking up space (not the spare, it was on the back of the trailer). They charge a $50 sanitation fee.. and believe me.. it was dirtier than a toilet. After returning the trailer, I was greeted by the same person who was there when I picked it up. He unhooked it and said I was good to go. (no inspection or anything?). He told me my $300 security deposit would be refunded in 3-5 business days (mind you, this whole transaction happened through Zelle). When viewing the trailer on the website, it is clearly when it was brand new, not its current condition. 3 days later, the owner texted me to tell me he was going to keep $100 of my deposit because the trailer wiring looked like it had been dragged on the ground. I asked him for a picture and never heard back. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I was unaware that I was trying to rent a trailer on memorial day weekend until I started calling around. The one clean picture is what we were shown on the website that we were renting. The other pictures are what we actually got. The bunk was taped up, the cup console was taped together. The driver seat and passenger seat had covers that were full of holes and stains. The shower curtain was so gross I bought my own. The shower head leaked, the tags were expired and the right blinker didn't work. You also could not use the microwave while running the ac. The guy who we picked it up from said they had no other options and that his boss was out of town. He offered 10% off which only refunded us $40 because they took it off the base rental, not the total charge. Once back from our trip the "owner" said he couldn't do anymore since we didn't clean it or dump the waste, both of which we were never told to do plus we had already paid a cleaning and sanitation fee. We rented a trailer camper and a truck to tow it for about 10 days and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the service that Brandon and boys toys rentals gave us! Literally every encounter, chat, and question was straightforward and answered. Prices were the BEST that we found, and pickup location was great as well! There were no crazy added or hidden fees, and the whole process was so simple and easy! They went above and beyond when we arrived - truck already hitched, fridge cooled, and they even let us borrow extra lawn chairs, bike locks, and tarp for our trip! Hi I planed a trip to AZ to enjoy the outdoor and I was looking for outdoor activity. I rented a Polaris RZR from those guys to enjoy my 3 days vaction and I am very happy and and satisfy from what I got and the price I paid. They had everything from A to Z. Helmets and the trailer to tow it , they explained me very nicely and patient since I did not had match experiance with off road before. They made it all easy and even install me a set of paddle tiers so I can enjoy my off road trip. The hidden fees. Two days after the return we were told that our Insurance wasn't "enough". Even though we spoke with our agent and even provided a binder confirming our insurance. If I could give zero stars I would. Listen, I'm not in the practice of giving negative reviews, especially for a locally run business. However, Brandon is also not in the practice of running an ethical business. My family and I rented an RV for a much anticipated national park tour. The RV we had viewed and wanted was rented to someone else right out from under us and replaced by an ancient vehicle. We had to disinfect the rv before even using it and decided at the last minute to put our own mattresses in because it was so filthy. Trying to make the most of it, we packed up all the kids and set out before the sun came up. By the time we stopped for breakfast we were a few hundred miles away and that's when everything went down hill. There was a leak in the water line under the sink so everytime we turned on the water the entire cabin was flooded. With five kids on board this trip it was completely inconvenient to not be able to wash our hands or brush teeth without flooding the rv. Flushing the toilet, cooking and showering were completely out of the question. The covers on the roof windows were duct taped on and broken. One blew off within the first 50 miles and we had to duct tape plastic over it during two rainstorms. About half way through our trip the power steering went out, then the ac was in and out and then the refrigerator. By the end of our trip not only could we not use the water but all of our food was ruined and water was dripping from the fridge all over the floor. The storage under the rv had broken locks and knobs so everytime we parked we had to move our belongings inside to secure them. Many times the doors of the storage compartments would fly open while we were driving. I did my best to document these items and keep Brandon informed during our trip. When we returned the vehicle, his maintenance person checked us in and when we told him about our trip he acknowledged that they knew about the water damage visable throughout the cabin. So they knew this vehicle wasn't fit to be rented and took our money anyway. When I asked for a refund Brandon told me that he'd be happy to give me $100 back and a discount on my next rental, as if I would ever do business with these guys again. Nobody in their right mind would pay any amount of money to use that rv. All they care about is money coming in and I would never recommend renting from these guys in the future. read more

Rented a toy hauler from them and it was not the one pictured when I made my deposit. A couple hours into my trip one of the entire tire assembly's blew off the trailer. I was stuck on the side of the highway for hours. They towed a replacement out to my location which is the only reason they are getting 1 star instead of 0. Both propane tanks on the replacement trailer were empty and we froze our butts off the entire weekend because the heat and stove would not work. (We were unable to find propane nearby). The descriptions and pictures of their units are false advertising, they are not the same trailers. The rentals units are in terrible condition and missing lots of parts that are not disclosed in the Ads. Their business response will be "yeah sorry about that". Do NOT rent from Brandon, owner of Boys Toys!!!! You may think you have a rental RV for your trip - but you possibly will NOT. :( First of all ... they are NOT professional. We went with them directly, instead of through Outdoorsy.com, as we were told we could save on fees, and that if we paid in cash, we didn't have to pay tax. So we went this route. On June 9, 2020, I texted to confirm rental of a 30 ft. 2019 Freelander Coachman, for a 2 week rental (June 26 - July 9). I wanted this size, as anything smaller did not have the 'walk around queen bed' that I desired. I paid $500 deposit for the above named RV unit. I asked for a receipt, nothing from Brandon. He would not do anything via email, only via text. I asked numerous times for confirmation of the $500 deposit - and nothing. As this made me nervous - we actually drove an hour to the rental address, which is at his home, to get a written receipt for deposit. Of course, nobody was home. I called and he assured me he would get me confirmation - but only via TEXT. What 'business' does this?? Fast forward to 2 days prior to rental ... we're all packed up, excited and ready to get rental, load it up and get on road for our 2 week road trip. Can you imagine, just 48 hours prior to us picking up RV, receiving a text (not even a call) from Brandon, saying that something (supposedly) happened to the RV in Montana that we had rented, and he had to cancel the reservation!! Which was strange, as he had blatantly told me that this unit we rented, was going in the shop on Tues. prior to Friday pickup, for repairs on a recall notice, but had hoped it would be ready to go on Friday. Soooo, to hear that now all of a sudden that our rental was (supposedly) broke down in Montana - made it even more crazy on his this business was operated. Of course I was irate, sad, cried, upset - now what the hell are we going to do at this last minute? We had plans to be with family over the 4th of July (coincidentally, in MONTANA!). He also said that he had nothing else to offer us, but something much smaller than what we had paid for and wanted. I did not want a smaller unit ... as I wanted only a unit that had the walk around queen bed, and spacious enough for us to be in for 2 weeks! He said he would look further for something more - and imagine that, he NEVER did get back to us. So, our vacation as ruined, we had purchased several camping items JUST for this trip all for not ... we had no RV to do our trip ... no other locations had RVs to rent at this late date (especially over the 4th of July weekend) ... so we had to cancel our trip completely!!! We were NOT going to drive our vehicle, as we didn't want to do motels along the way with the CoVid hoopla going on, hence the desire to do an RV where we could keep it clean ourselves, fix meals and not have to do restaurants, etc. On this same date, June 24th, I explained my frustrations in a text (no email for biz available) to Brandon and how because if I had personally canceled my RV rental just 48 hours prior to rental --- I would have to pay the whole fee to him. Therefore, I wanted same to happen on my end - for him to give me the full refund of the $2450 that he would have charged ME had I canceled on him within a WEEK of rental (and he did it to me within 48 hours of rental), along with the $500 deposit I had already paid, for a total credit to my credit card in amount of $2,950. I also stated that if this did not happen, that I would make a YELP review, contact Outdoorsy.com, the BBB and do a small claims action, but was giving him the chance to do the right thing. I did not hear from Brandon until June 30th!! His reply was that he would send me ONLY the $500 deposit I paid (of course you will - you didn't deliver the promised product !!!!), but he was not giving me anything more. He did offer to give me a 50% off a future rental - however, who the hell would rent from this shady supposed business? NOT ME!!!! Experience okay but I was charged more than expected. I would rent from them again but I know what to expect now. They just need to list all the extra charges that may apply. Tow hitch- 15 per day, ins 15 per day, dump charge 10, propane 10. I understand charges but hate when I show up to pick up trailer that I need to pay more to take trailer than listed. Also I wouldn't pay deposit over the phone. I would wait until I inspected trailer or whatever your renting. They can keep your deposit if you cancel, they have plenty of rentals so I'd wait to see unit. read more

Do not do business with this company! Brandon is rude and unprofessional ! We cancelled way in advance due to illness. He would not return our deposit and was very quick to run the credit card. We disputed the transaction And this company responded to credit card company that we DID render service. This company can not get away this kind of business. If I could give 0 stars I would! Do yourself a favor and rent from someone else. First of all the guy is a jerk, zero people skills. Second, he didn't fill up the RV with water and when we got to the campsite we had NO WATER the entire weekend!! No toilet, no shower, no sink.. what the Fk am I paying for then?! Third, the trailer we originally reserved wasn't available on the day we needed to pick up because he "miscalculated the dates" and so he "upgraded" us to a trailer that was 3 years older. FORTH the guy had the balls to charge my credit card another $135 A WEEK LATER with no email no invoice and no description of the charges. I used an entire bottle of Clorox wipes when we picked up the piece of shit before we even put our stuff inside. I've called and text him multiple times with 0 response. In a nutshell: Boys Toys Rentals left us without an RV 2 hours before we were supposed to pick up our rental (deposit paid). Read further for the details. I am going to start out by saying that I should have read the reviews before I rented from Boys Toys Rentals. I have now read all of them (Yelp + Facebook) and the bottom line is when everything works out, it works out, but if it doesn't you will not get the RV you paid for or worst case (and in our case) you will be left without an RV period. I would NOT risk it. It started when I found a rental through RV Share and when Brandon got back to me, he suggested we rent directly through his company to avoid extra fees. That was the first red flag, but I bit and we went directly through them. I paid the deposit on 6/1/20 for a trip that was 6/21-6/30. I will say that Brandon was flexible on drop off time, but it ended up not mattering. When the date grew closer, I hadn't heard anything about pick up time so I contacted Brandon the morning of pick-up. I had a bad feeling something was going to go wrong. It took a while for him to get back to me, but when he did the RV wasn't back yet but we decided on a time for me to pick it up assuming the previous renters dropped the RV off on time. Two hours before I was supposed to pick it up, I got a text (not the courtesy of a call) to let me know the RV was stuck in Sho Low with a bad transmission. I was obviously panicked because our campsite reservations were prepaid and EVERYTHING was full so there was not the option of pushing everything forward a day. To make a long story short, Brandon did not have a plan B for us. We were SOL. I did ask if they had anything coming in the next day and they were POSSIBLY going to get a return in the morning but it was going to be $50 more per night. This RV was his brother's and he was not willing to give it to us at the same price "because of the COVID demand". Brandon did offer to compensate us "a little" to make up the difference but I didn't get into what that would have meant because I was shocked that they left us in such an incredible lurch and I felt they should have been bending over backwards to find a replacement. I spent the next 4 hours on the phone and online hunting down a replacement. There were truly no motor homes left in the Phoenix area. One place I called asked who I had rented from in the first place. When I told them Boys Toys Rentals, they said I was their fourth call that week of RVs that had fallen through with this Boys Toys. Again, I should have read the reviews. I decided to try a trailer rental and I finally connected with someone who DID bend over backwards to help me out. Johnny from RVPhx (602-492-2356) stayed on the phone with me for at least 30 minutes going through all of his incoming inventory and we finally found one that would work with our car. I was so incredibly relieved. We ended up getting started 8 hours later than planned which impacted the first two days of our trip. Boys Toys Rentals did give us our deposit back after follow-up on my end. I also want to be fair and say that Brandon was always polite and patient with the many questions we had. But when it came to a resolution, the company fell apart. We were lucky to have found a replacement on our own, but had we not the trip would have been cancelled and we would have lost a ton of money. This business advertises on Rvshare.com and when I inquired to a rental the "owner" did ensure availability but at $30 more per night. When I inquired why the price hike he was rude and to told me to read the description cause it spells it out." So I took a screenshot of the posted "description" that read..."description coming soon." When I sent it to him with another inquiry his reply was a curt, "okay?" Horrible horrible Customer Service with even worse accurate representation of prices. Bait and switch like some of the other reviews. We reserved a very nice trailer, paid in full, made RV reservations for 11 nights,only to get a call that day that the trailer had been in an accident. They did offer a refund, but all our plans were in place, and they said they had two others, so we decided to go forward. Big mistake. We got to Mesa from Flagstaff to find that one was one of those semi tent trailers and the other years older but a regular trailer. The person working there had cleaned it not wearing a mask and couldn't get the refrigerator to stay on right. I did not go inside because of my age and worry about the virus from the unmasked cleaner.When we got to Flagstaff and aired it out, I finally went in only to see that there was a filthy foam pad overlapping an old box springs.(Husband didn't notice that!)We took the pad off, cleaned the trailer, and used our own pad. But, after driving to Cortez, Co, we found that the refrigerator didn't work, the box springs intolerable, and the general condition was so poor that we took the trailer back. We then tried to call to get a partial refund but, after several weeks of no return calls, we had to turn it over to the credit card company. We managed to get a little back, but not really much. I would not trust these people. We were willing to work with them for a partial refund, but they never responded. Very unethical. read more

Please do yourself a favor and pick any other RV rental!! We were given an RV that was cleaned and temporarily glued together. Once on the road it became clear that we got button hooked by Brandon. Being it was July we hurried up north to Mesa verde to get out of the heat. The first night the signs started showing that we had a lemon. Toilet was temporarily glued on and clearly wasn't in working order, no windshield wipers, engine light turned on, multiple latches on the outside broken. We were 7 hours north and had a month of campground reservations, so turning back would've altered our trip. WE SHOULD HAVE TURNED BACK. Two days after the transmission starting having issues. It wouldn't go pass 3rd gear. Trying to get a hold of Brandon became a daily chore and he wasn't able to get us into a body shop to have the RV looked at. To say Brandon was useless when and if you run into an issue with youRV is an understatement. We rented the RV for a month and he did take off $1,500, but honestly being we were stuck in 3rd gear we had to alter our route because some mountain passes clearly were too dangerous to drive in 3rd gear. Also our mpg was awful as you can imagine driving to Montana and back in 3rd gear. We as a family didn't let this company ruin our vacation we planned out, but i really feel the need to let everyone go else. Lastly I paid Brandon my deposit in Venmo and when I returned the RV he wasn't able to meet us. He said leave the RV next of the house and I'll refund you. I have a good feeling he was too embarrassed to show his face after dodging our calls about getting the transmission fixed. So instead of returning my deposit to Venmo he decided to return my deposit to PayPal. The funny thing about that is I don't have PayPal. To this day I haven't heard back from him. read more

DONT DO BUSINESESS WITH THIS PLACE! First read the reviews. The positive ones are from friends trying to boost their ratings. We rented a trailer, before I left their place the door came open. I figured it didn't get shut. Closed it went a mile happened again and a third time. I texted them, solution dead bolt the door. We get to our destination. Around 8pm is was getting cold we tried to shut the door from the inside it wouldn't close. We tried the dead bolt it wouldn't engage. We tied for almost an hour to get the door to close. It wouldn't. We drove to where we had service, 30 minutes away. Texted Jared who didn't respond for several hours. We weren't going to sleep with the door open. We decided to pack up and go. On our way out we were Jared did respond but his solution wasn't going to work. At that point we were frustrated and gave up. We asked for a refund the owners response was " a few simple tools could have fixed the door". My response, it's not my job to fix your trailers. I paid full price for a broken trailer that was in very poor condition. The offer from Brandon was a free rental. I didn't want another rental. This was my last trip with my Son before leaving for the Air Force, a free rental doesn't cover it. Return my money. read more

Pam and I were supposed to head out on a camping trip today with a camper we rented. While packing stuff up this morning I went into the camper to make sure everything was working. I did this because I didn't have a good feeling about the quality of the camper. When we picked it up on Thursday, the camper we wanted wasn't available so they had another one that was pretty worn out and not in great shape. At one point, the technician had me push a knob on the refrigerator while he was doing something outside to start it up. He then showed us the red needle on a gauge that was within a green zone saying that it was working. When we got the camper home, I went inside to check on things and the refrigerator door was wide open and the indicator wasn't in the green zone anymore. Apparently the refrigerator shut itself off and the cooling coils were not cold. We tried multiple times to get it going using the front panel controls and it finally started. This morning when I checked up on it, it was off and I could not get it started again. I called a friend who owns a camper and she told me to look for a reset button or fuses/circuit breakers. I could not find any of those. This camper has two propane tanks, so I checked on them and found that the one that was connected was empty. We just picked this up two days ago and it was out of gas. I checked the other tank and it had gas but was not totally full. I switched to that tank and could not start the refrigerator, even after purging the gas lines with the stove, which did work. My friend came over and we finally got it started by taking the burner assembly apart and using a lighter to manually light the gas. Not something we want to deal with after a long drive to the campsite in the dark. I was also not convinced it would stay lit after finding it out after driving the camper home. My friend then mention to us to verify the tire pressure and didn't see the spare tire under the camper. I showed her that it was in the back and while looking at it noticed that 2 of the 3 welds for the bracket were broken such that the whole bracket was swinging side-to-side and looked like it was ready to come off. That was the final straw, so we canceled our trip and took the camper back to the rental company. The company did not give us any instructions or paperwork for the camper and did not provide us with an emergency contact phone number when we picked it up. I left a message on their main voicemail when I first had trouble with refrigerator and got no return calls. I called them again (2-1/2 hours later) when we decided that this camper was not in good enough condition to be safe and they did answer but said that they had no messages from me. They told me that I must've called a different number and were not able to provide an explanation when I told them I just hit the redial button and got a hold of them. Another thing about this company is that it's run from a house in rural Mesa, AZ with no company signs or any indication that it is a business. The street address on their web site is for the house next door to them that has nothing to do with their business. My recommendation is to avoid this business that goes by the name of "Boys Toys Rentals". After the 25 mile ride back, the spare tire bracket was almost totally broken off. It could've broken off and caused an accident on the freeway. That was only 25 miles and the campground we were supposed to go to is about 300 miles away. read more

I wouldn't even give a one star but I had to give something. Where do I start? The morning of the trip, we were told that the trailer we reserved had wiring issues and the company was going to upgrade us to a 2020 model. BUT what we got was a 2019 model that had seen better days. We had to listen to the dinging bell because the wiring on this trailer had issues as well. There were missing cabinet doors, hot water exterior cover was missing, it was also missing the fresh water tank cap, and we couldn't lock the entry door. We left on July 1st and got where we were camping at about 7:30pm. Went to level the trailer which was pretty easy BUT when the trailer was level, the door wouldn't open/close. 2nd, went to verify the propane was on to run the water heater and fridge BUT there was no propane. Hooked our bottle to the hose and discovered a hissing noise so the hoses leak. The next day we had to go into the nearest town to get new hoses and fill the bottle. 6 hours later, we have the fridge up and running. 3rd, we pulled out the beds, there were holes in the tent corners. More on this later..... 4th, the trailer hadn't been cleaned, we found dirty socks and a super cute necklace as we cleaned. The wipe used to clean the counter top with was black and the second wipe was too. #5, the awning leaked when it rained. AND 6th, when we went to take showers, guess what? There was no hot water, even though we had a full propane tank. Now back to 3rd issue. Because there were holes in the trailer where the beds were the bedding area filled with water. It got worse with each passing day. By the 4th night we were sleeping on a water bed more like a pool. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!! BEWARE OF BOYS TOYS RENTALS ON OTHER RENTAL SITES BECAUSE THEY ARE ONE IN THE SAME. They don't stand by their product. There are plenty of pics but can't load them here. read more
