I stopped by the Bozs in Bourbonnais yesterday for lunch. I went to open the door and it was filthy. When the young lady asked me what I would like to order, I preceded to tell her how filthy the door was. She said they wipe the doors down daily, i said there is no way. She preceded to make my italian beef sandwich. She laid the bread on the naked counter and I asked her when did they start doing that. She said thats how they always made them. I don't ever remember them laying the bread on the metal like that. It disturbed me to the point that I didn't want to buy it. I called back today to speak with the owner but I got the run around. She said that that the health department did not have a problem with it. I will be calling them on Monday morning to see of they agree with that. read more

I have been a customer since they first opened many years ago. I moved away for a few years and when I came back I couldn't wait to go to Boz. I have to say I was very disappointed in the cleanliness. I have only been to the one on route 50 and the one in Bourbonnais but neither one of them were very clean. I don't know about the one in West Kankakee. But what a disappointment? I cannot bring myself to go back there and to get food from there just because it's not clean! I'm sure the food is probably still good, but I have a thing about dirty restaurants! Come on Boz, clean up your act! read more

This was my first time visiting, and I will say that I will definitely be back! I got the Mozzarella Nacho Beef sandwich, and it was EXCELLENT. The bun was soft, the meat was full of flavor, and it was the perfect cheese to meat ratio. The only thing that was a let down was the chip selections. There were like 5 flavors of chips that were spicy, and 2 flavors not spicy. Other than that, this place is definitely a hidden gem! read more

We stopped by this place on our way back to central Illinois from the Chicago area, tired of the usual options of Burger King/McDonalds/Wendy's/Subway/Taco Bell. My friend was very pleased with his Chicago dog; as a fan of onions his dog was loaded with them. I ordered a cheese dog and let me tell you just how hard it is to order a simple hot dog with cheese anywhere else: It's near impossible. So many places have given me jalapenos on their 'cheese dog', onions on their 'cheese dog', American Singles cheese on their 'cheese dog', or even Easy Cheese on their 'cheese dog'. This place gave me a cheese dog, with a thick layer of warm, melted cheese, no extra additions. Plus there was no scrimping! There was only one girl working at the time, and I don't think she understood that we weren't local, so we looked like confused tourists at the counter before realizing that you pay at one end and receive at the other. Get your food really fast. Like super fast, it was almost as if they are racing against someone. Has the Chicago dog and the chili dog. Ill start off by saying the actual hot dog itself was not my cup of tea. It appeared to be steamed or boiled. I'd suggest they switch brands and possibly switch to grilled dogs. The toppings were absolutely fine, they recovered an otherwise very average dog at best. Service is great, place is clean, prices aren't bad. Hot dogs are meh. Toppings are great. read more

the food is always good here. just seems as if they tightly ration the beef or the meatballs when ordering a sandwich. they just both seem to be getting smaller and smaller. and for the price,,,it makes me NOT want to dine here. and when i ordered nachos, there was hardly any cheese on it !!! if i would have noticed it before i was home and ready to eat i would have for sure said something and asked for more. read more

Had an italian beef sandwich from here with sweet peppers. This sandwich was the "PITS" a total discrass to the Italian beef sandwich. The bread was of a roll that needed to be baked but was not. It was white in color. The peppers were sport peppers for a hot dog. Why bother, go to Chicago it's only 60 minutes away, they will give you a sandwich. read more

I finally stopped here after driving by the three locations in the area nearly every single day on my way to work. Really fast place for lunch. Good hot dogs, italian beef, and chili cheese fries. Be ready to get super messy, but I suppose that is the norm for chili dogs, etc. Prices are very reasonable. YUM! read more

I've never had a complaint about the service or staff but I will say that the quality of food is below par in my opinion. Seems like the food is setup more for the convenience of the workers then for the quality for its customer. Chili seemed to have refried beans stirred into it to accommodate for both chili dogs and taco salads. Tomatoes are cut into quarters and realistically cannot be eating on the hot dog themselves but rather picked off and eaten separately. Buns are a doughy type substance that, in my opinion, take away from the quality of the dogs or Italian beefs. read more

Terrible experience. Tried this place for the first time tonight. The hotdogs smelled foul... There goes $20 down the drain. They don't have fries WHAT??? and the lady who took the order/checked us out was a terrible human being. There's nothing worse than getting a bad dog and having a mean wench serve it to you. read more
