I've had delivery from this place quite a few times. The Chile relleno burrito serves me for two meals. It's HUGE! The beans and rice comes in a 12 oz. This was our absolute favorite restaurant in the entire county during the eight years we lived in Bradley. You would find us here at least once a week for dinner, and occasionally late at night for carry out nachos. Now that we've moved out of state I stop by here whenever I am in the area. I highly recommend that you order an off menu item, guacamole tacos. If you like guacamole give these a try with a splash of the hot red sauce. I've never had a bad meal here. And everyone I know loves El Burrito Loco. Quality good, great service, extensive menu. Quick carry out if you are in a hurry. My favorite meal is the guacamole taco combo. That's usually what I order and what I dream about when I'm nowhere near El Burrito Loco. But I've tried every vegetarian option on the menu and everything is great. They have even made some special combinations for me when I wanted something different and it always turns out to be fantastic. I have placed many large carry out orders for get-togethers, gatherings, and office parties. My carnivore friends always seem to like their options as well as I like my vegetarian choices. El Burrito Loco quickly became a fave for me when I realized that Denny's and IHOP were no longer the only restaurants open late. El Burrito Loco could run circles around those places AND they are open till 1 or 2 on the weekends. Through the years, I've had a little of this and a little of that. My faves include the chicken fajita quesadillas, the steak torta and the verde enchiladas. My Mexican friend recently corrected me when she found out I was going in to Mexican restaurants and ordering "the green enchiladas." That's why I can be correct in calling them verde in my review. (Thank you Ruby.) Their verde is sooooo good. In fact, this might be slightly embarrassing to admit, but when I go there, I ask for extra salsa verde and save them up in my fridge. Then when I get enough, I make my own enchiladas. It's not that I'm poor-- cause the stuff is cheap at the grocery store--it's that I haven't found any that has the right amount of spice and taste as theirs. The food is all made to order so it's always piping hot. You can dine in for the nights you're coming straight from the bar or pass through the drive thru on the way home from work. The service is always passable but I would venture to call it 'good.' Whoever owns this chain must be some kind of Mexican fast-food god because I've also eaten at the one in BBrook and it was just as tasty as the location that I first fell in love with. read more

I do not recommend this place if you'd like tasty Mexican food. We spent $30 on 2 burritos & a taco dinner and it was awful. There was no flavor in the steak, the rice, or beans. We went through the drive thru and the service was quick, since no one was there. Also, the team member was nice and repeated our order for sure it was correct. I will not be back. I got a pastor burrito with added cilantro and onions. My dad got a steak burrito with sour cream and quac. He said his burrito was very good and loved it. My pastor burrito was huge to begin with!! My family night just finished eating here and within 10 minutes my son was vomiting. I have a very upset stomach and feeling nauseous and my husband's stomach is very upset as well. I called the restaurant to let them know what was going on and the manager informed me that I just wasn't used to "the type of food they sir because they serve a different type of food than other restaurants ". We stopped in at around 5:30 on a Thursday. The dining area was nearly empty, but the drive-through window was doing a brisk business. We got a veggie burrito with Mexican potatoes and guacamole, a chile relleno taco, a medium horchata and an order of carrots and jalapeños. We loved every item we ordered. The horchata was one of the best we've had. The red salsa was not that interesting, but the green was pretty good. We don't often get out to Bourbonnais, but since this is one of a chain of local restaurants, we'll keep an eye out for something closer. read more

I have been a customer of this restaurant for a very long time. I will NEVER give them my money again. I called to make an order one night and apparently was too close to closing and when I hung up the owner called me back yelling at me and harassing me but would not give me his name. I work in the restaurant and hospitality industry and would never ever call a customer back harassing them even if they were rude to me. This is the most disgusting customer service I have ever seen in my life. I will never return and I suggest others don't either. Who knows who else he has done this to.
