Came with a big group, and the staff delivered flawlessly. Virtue of being with the big group, I got the opportunity to sample several appetizers. Loved the fried pickles and boom bang shrimp, came piping hot, also the crab bombs were fantastic and I got to snack on some good onion rings. My entrée was the flounder platter, which came to the table piping hot and absolutely delicious. This is almost too much food for one person, but I loved it. Bozos is a staple in Pascagoula. It's great to see how much they have grown over the years. My favorite meals are the shrimp poboy , steamed shrimp, and the fried whole grouper all with fried onion rings as a side. When boiled crawfish are in season, they are the most affordable on the Gulf Coast. The service here is not bad, the dining room can get loud during peak hours. Went to this restaurant during Covid and had the most amazing meal (in our car haha). Made a special trip today to revisit it - we dream and rave about Bozos often. Sad to say, much like a lot of our favorite restaurants, it's changed and not for the better. Not sure where the shrimp is coming from for the baskets and po'boys, but it wasn't as amazing as before. Also, I remember there being specials and overflowing plates...now the po'boys don't even come with fries. I might be crazy, but the seasoning seemed bland too. I know this place is known for its value, but honestly I'd pay more for the quality I remember. Worth a stop as it's still a solid seafood restaurant, but not worth a special trip anymore. read more

My friend and his Mom live in Pascagoula, so I said I would make the 1/2 hr drive East fr Biloxi to visit them. My friend raved about Bozos that has been on DDD. We started off with cheese squares. They were nicely battered and melted in your mouth. The marinara sauce paired nicely with the squares. For my personal first course, I had a cup of the gumbo, and obviously it was better vs what I had at Snacks at the Beau Rivage. Not only was it cheaper, it also had a nice roux as the foundation for rich flavor. For my main, I had the soft shell crab po boy. It was so much better vs the one I had at Half Shell the night before. The crab was hanging out of the nice roll, and this po boy was dressed properly with mayonnaise. Lastly, I had a slice of the cheesecake an it was so tasty. The crust was nice and buttery. Regarding the ambiance, this is the restaurant section, and its large in here. There is also a market section, and a smaller section that has live music. Our waiter Brian was super nice and attentive. He was emblematic of Southern Hospitality. Just came to this place with a group of coworkers and waited almost 1 hr 30 min for food which we DID NOT EVEN GET. This PRETTY BAD SERVICE. EVEN WORSE a group of coast guard came in 20 min after we were seated and they got all their food first . I'd like to point out our group is poc and the coast guards were not. I guess there's still racism lingering around here. I'd say stay cautious. The food look good but I guess the people aren't so. Im not the type to do this kind of reviews but wow it was such a bad experience to see it first hand especially being an observable person watching everybody get their food before us was really off putting. read more

Trolling the MS coast, I mistakenly stopped at a bayou-side restaurant which offered fried seafood. . Many a seafood are so darn excellent minimally prepared it's fantastic; just opinion. ISO STEAMED, a local at the first restaurant advised Bozos Too; the OG Bozos reminds me of a dimly lit, narrow, water-side ice house. Not my preferred flavor and still very popular all day long. This place is surely doing many things right. Electing to dine in their newly created addition, Bozos Too, I sat down to a linen tablecloth thankfully not in a corner or stuck beside the restrooms. Arrived on a weekend day just around 330; several parties of diners mid fare. Thanksgiving had just passed as I recall a tastefully decorated & size-appropriate tree with white lights & matching lit garland in the spacious private dining room were placed for seasonal enjoyment. There is plenty of room between tables/chairs so as not to feel packed in as if an anchovie. Great amount of natural light through large panes of windows. Ideally, I'd find a hefty platter of steamed crab claws, a salad, & a decent wine. Not finding the offering, I sought expertise from my friendly server. Ordering an off-menu entree long since removed from their lineup, I had the Islander II & it threatened an incredible one pound of sautéed claws accompanied by a very fresh house salad. Very excited of my servers' recs, I promise you that I do not know what kind of carnage occurred once the platter was placed in front of me. This time I dined alone so there were no witnesses to the alleged crime. I value manners very much so so imagine my horror when it occurred to me that I must've looked like I was participating in a food eating contest when suddenly, I gazed downward to the carcasses of claws and empty salad bowl- all had just vanished. (!) Ridiculously good Bozos' Too! Ah, & there was also a comforting vino when I came up for air from the whole caper. I did not feel rushed during my visits here, as if turning the tabletop over to make room for more diners, is the end game. Enjoyment of the entire experience, sans a sense to eat and run, is too often either underrated or just forgotten. Thank you to all of the staff for well-timed table check-ins which do not imply that the business is chomping at the bit to issue the check. Deciding that I must return for the excellent, friendly, mature service, clean utensils, fair price points, & exceptional seafood, I brought the bestie along for her first foray. I ordered the bang bang/ deeply spicy shrimp; don't recall her entree bc suffice it to say that there was little conversation and many "Mmms" as we again enjoyed another delightful visit. Neither visit was off-puttingly loud, thank goodness, & the few children there were were very small/ quiet or above the age to expect to behave well. Nondescript music played and not so loudly so as to have to raise one's' conversational voice. During my visits, not having teen waitstaff is very much so appreciated ( truly no offense to teens) as the quality of service / what is already understood that many Bozos patrons want, is consistently delivered. It's self-evident why this establishment is so popular. Solid selections of a range of very fresh seafood prepared your way, at very fair price points, very clean, respectable, waitstaff who show that they care about the dining experience for other adults , paired with the consistency of quality food thoughtfully served, encourages me to make the 45 minute drive as I am assured a great experience. Went this past Sunday around 3:30. Asked to be seated at an open booth but hostess took us to a table. Got drinks, waited 45 min and then asked waitress status of food coming out. She said it had not been started yet- probably another 45 minutes- and asked had we not been informed it would be a 1.5 hour wait on food when we checked in. Seriously? The Fried Shrimp was way overcooked as well as the oysters, even the french fries was not appealing. The shrimp tacos were terrible. Huge wide pieces of purple cabbage and overload of chopped tomatoes with no seasoning. Some sauce on top. Nothing Caribbean about it. This is the second visit on a weekend that we received Overcooked food. I will not return on the weekend, but will try again during a weekday when there must be a different cook in the kitchen as it is usually the best place to get fried shrimp. read more

The food was fabulous. Lots of choices for those that like seafood and those that don't. Very good value for your money, large portions. The gumbo is decently spicy and is very large. The loaded mashed potatoes was a definite yes. The hush puppies are excellent and not spicy for those that need mild. The tartar sauce is homemade and is very good, I'm pretty picky about mine. It was pretty loud and smoky inside, definitely a causal place. Not a fan of plasticware but I think they were a little backed up on their dishwasher for tableware. Combo platters were hefty, great value but a lot of fried food. Hushpuppies people enjoyed. The whole fried flounder was enough for two. The stuffed snapper - skip, a bit overcooked and undercooked all at once. Sauce with the blue crab cakes - no crab cakes, so they substituted a few shrimp. Unfortunate as I think the crab cakes would've been so much better. Out of sweet potato casserole, too. Cocktail and tartar sauce on the table. Overall, fried food is good - but gets to be a lot. Some food missing the mark on either the substitutions or missing items, and who runs out of sweet potato casserole at lunch? Have to try the seafood steamers next time. Rings were crisp on outside and tender in middle. Gumbo was very tasty and authentic, obviously made by someone who knows what she/he is doing. Holy cow! My hubs has been riding over from Mobile for years now to stop in for a poboy from next door. As we were passing through he wanted to take me, but he didn't realize the next door table service restaurant was there. Large open area with amble seating, when it's busy it can be a bit loud. The smoked fish dip was very good and a nice amount. We each got poboys, his the roast beef and mine the shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious. We both could only eat half so we had the other halves to take home for later. Other items on their menu also sounded good, we're planning another ride over soon to sample more of their offerings. The seafood at Bozo's Too was fresh, and that's one thing I can definitely give them credit for. You can taste that they're working with good ingredients, which is always important when it comes to seafood. Unfortunately, the flavor didn't really match the quality of the product. The seasoning was bland and didn't bring out the natural taste of the shrimp and fish the way I expected. It felt like something was missing, and the dishes came across as underwhelming. The biggest disappointment of the night was the sweet potato casserole. It was burnt on top, and instead of having that smooth, slightly sweet, comforting flavor, it tasted bitter. That really threw off the meal, especially since I was looking forward to it as a side. Service was friendly and the atmosphere itself was nice relaxed and welcoming but when you're paying for a meal, the food has to be the highlight. Bozo's is a local treasure and a must-stop when you're in the area (or even remotely close... as we met visitors from nearly an hour away while we were there. The food is that good!). We started with the fried green tomatoes which were absolutely incredible. They're lightly breaded, fried, then topped with a delicious sauce that adds the perfect touch to the tomato. I could've eaten the whole platter. My husband and I shared a shrimp Po-Boy and a side of fries. There was so much shrimp on our sandwich I can't imagine what the "extra shrimp" option must be like You definitely get your money's worth! Let me start by saying- normally Bozo's is excellent! Been there many with no issues. But Im gonna rant about this time. If you are gluten free- be aware the menu has changed. I'm super disappointed. We came to Bozo's specifically with this tuna dip in mind. They recently changed the menu and now it's flour chip NOT corn tortillas chips like it's been. I had no idea they changed it. Hubby even told the server that I'm gluten free before we ordered. When I asked for a manager and made her aware of the issue- she didn't realize they had changed it. I can eat gluten once and awhile without closing up my throat but for someone with a severe allergy, they could kill someone! It is so important to know what you can and can't have because restaurants are poorly educated on the subject! We will definitely return to Bozo's and they did take it off the bill. I just wanted to make someone else aware that once considered safe foods there should be double checked. read more
