When I asked her/him if she/he treated all customers this way, she/he became even more dismissive. While I was using the keypad, she/he actually reached through the glass and touched the keypad in an apparent attempt to rush the transaction along and usher me out the door so she/he could go back to sitting in the back of the store. When I asked for her/his name, she/he didn't even have the courtesy to answer me. She/he simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. I don't expect an employee to kiss my ass when I walk into a store, but I do expect basic customer service and enough professionalism to complete a transaction without being treated like I'm an inconvenience for showing up during normal business hours. If an employee is that bothered by having to come out from the back of the store and wait on a customer, then perhaps working with the public isn't the right job for that person.

Their pumps are faulty, and they eventually declined my card, which has plenty of credit on it. In total, I tried two pumps, and I even went in to talk to the cashier about using my card at the desk. None of these worked. He sent a rather rude employee out to the pump with me to resolve the issue. She did exactly what I did and told me I didn't know how to use the pump. I'm an 18 year old who has been pumping gas for as long as I can remember. I left their store with a bad taste in my mouth and a fear that I wouldn't make it to the next gas station. I returned to this Exxon to ask for their store number because I wanted to tell corporate about my poor experience with this store, and the "owner" of this store yelled at me, and he told me I didn't know how to use the pump. I stopped to refuel my vehicle and of course go inside and refuel myself. This location, like most, is a busy one. I was lucky enough of to be able to pull into a pump right away. However, when I was done fueling I had to leave my vehicle at the pump as most spots were taken in front of the store. Once inside I made quick work to use the facilities and grab a drink. If I didn't have more miles to go, I would have gotten myself a MTO. I opted for the self checkout to help facilitate a swifter exit so I wasn't taking up a the spot at the pump for too long. Once I was done inside, made my way back to my vehicle. When I exited it was a quick reentry onto the highway to continues on my way.

Although this Sheetz was busy during our visit, several of the ordering kiosks were open. We placed our orders at the kiosk, paid at the counter, and used the restroom. The restrooms do need a little attention. Our order was ready in a reasonable amount and accurate. Even with our customizations the items were made correctly and tasted great. Overall, Sheetz is a recommended spot for gas and food while traveling.
