Recently my minivan was side-swiped, knocking off the driver-side mirror. I wanted to get it back up and running as soon as possible but I knew that the dealer I normally take my vehicle to for repairs would not be able to get to it for weeks, not to mention overcharge for it. Since I knew it was such a small repair, I ordered the replacement part myself and looked around for a repair shop that would be able to do it quickly. I had heard good things about the BP Wheaton and so decided to try them out. I was not disappointed! I dropped the vehicle off without an appointment and Noah told me when they would be able to get to it (the same day) and the cost. They were able to complete it at the estimated time, and charge me for less than the original estimate! I can only say a couple of minor things about this Wheaton BP. 1. Compared to other gas stations in the area, the air pump works very well. Also, you will receive a decent amount of time for your $2.75. 2. Gas prices are usually lower or about the same price compared to other places in the general vicinity. Same goes for cigarette prices (if that's your cup of tea). 3. While customer service isn't overly friendly, it's appropriate for a quick in and out purchase. read more

Mechanic Nathan spazzed, swearing I was only parking there to go to the store next door. When I tried to tell him I was a paying customer who had gotten gas, he tuned me out. I brought my car in to get a second opinion as the previous shop I went to said my car needed an unreasonable amount of work. I really appreciate the honesty from the staff here. Noah, who is the manager, was very genuine and really made me feel like he wasn't trying to cheat me. Great experience buying a used car from them. Had been referred by my landlord and a few neighbors, who had all bought cars from them. Easy negotiation. They did the title transfer and inspection for me (all included in the price) so I had everything I needed for the DMV. The check engine light went on before I got it home but they checked it out and reset it for free, and the light has not gone back on since. Very happy with the car. This morning , I went to the gas station to pump gas. I took about 8 minutes sitting at the pump because I was on the phone trying to make an appointment for my dog to get particular vaccines. During this time , a mechanic who works at the BP walked up to my car and demanded that I move my car because he could not back the car that was in the shop out of their space. It's a tight space and the pump sits right in front of their space. He was beeping the horn, had a upset facial expression, and gestured with his hands , like "get out" ; he verbally stated "are you going to use the pump or what?". Usually people just ask nicely for someone to move. I was already upset over the vaccine situation and I reacted rudely to the mechanic when he demanded I leave. However, what made this interaction even more hostile was after I realized I reacted and I calmed down and began as a paying customer would, to pump gas, the mechanic walked up to me again and began to record me with his phone. I did not give him permission to record me. I told him I was going to call the police and he put his phone away. I went inside the Gas station to ask for the owner's name and a way to contact the owner of the BP. He then proceeded to come out from the back and up to the register to where I was and began recording me again. Regardless of weather I was sitting at the pump longer than usual , this man should have never walked up to my car and demanded I leave. Even if I reacted poorly to him demanding I leave , I said "what's your problem?" . He should have never began recording me , as if to intimidate me. I won't be coming back to this BP and I think the owner of this BP should know what occurred this morning. read more

This is the first review that I've written on Yelp for an establishment that wasn't a restaurant. This place TOTALLY deserves it though. From the moment I dropped my car off on Sunday night, to the time I picked it up tonight, these guys have been nothing but honest and friendly, two characteristics which aren't often synonymous with auto-shop. First of all, the fact that you can drop off and pick up any time between 6 AM and 10 PM any day of the week is AWESOME. The main mechanic (and he might even be the owner? I'm not to sure about that) is SUPER friendly and straightforward. The few phone conversations we had were very good. He was very clear and straightforward about what needed to be done and the costs. He was also willing to have his mechanic work overtime to get in done if I needed it in a hurry (which I didn't). So check this place out. It's small and unassuming, but the customer service is fantastic and they are good at what they do. I will definitely be returning there the next time my car needs work. read more

I was looking for a quick tire change. I had the spare tire and needed a shop to put it on the car. This place was recommended by another auto mechanic. Service was spot on. He owner (Danny) said it would take 30 minutes and it took 28. He said it would cost $25 and it did. I will say the only downside is that there isn't really a waiting room that one could wait in. However There were convenient restaurants around this BP that you can sit and wait providing you get a quick beverage or food. I will be definitely going to to him in the future! read more

Super pleased with my experience with the auto shop at this BP. Now I didn't really have my car serviced per SE, but my tire pressure light was on for a couple of days and I wanted to get it checked before getting on the road for Thanksgiving. I remembered there was an auto shop at this BP and thought I'd give it a go just to see if they could take a look. I got there at 8am just as they were opening, unbeknownst to me. They checked, said that I just needed air and sent me on my way free of charge. I'll definitely be back. I appreciate the quick, courteous service. read more

I am very disappointed. I've been using this shop for about 5 years. I got my brakes replaced there my oil changes and any other maintenance that was necessary but I started to feel like I was being overcharged for poor quality parts, aka. They replace my brakes and a year later they had to be replaced again and wanted to charge me full price of the brakes which was irritating because they were the ones to put the crappy breaks in in the first place and charge me full price (which was overpriced). today I went to my husbands work mechanic and was told I needed to replace my air filter and they showed it to me you would not believe how disgusting it was I was breathing in dirt and grime and dust for years this thing has definitely not been replaced in at least five years and no one had Even mentioned it to me so being a woman and not having men that are car savvy in my family I was suckered into believing my car was totally fine. It was NOT. I'll be posting the photo so you can see for yourself. All in all I'm super disappointed and will never refer anyone to there and if I know that use this place I will just let them know that I had an awful experience and don't trust the craftsmanship. read more

There are two listings for this business, so I'm repeating my review that was over at Wheaton Manor BP. First of all, Yelp, stop being shady and hiding all of the great customer reviews. (If you're considering this business, please take a minute and look through the Not Recommended reviews, which are all excellent and seem legit). Can't believe this place hasn't gotten more good reviews! I came here on the recommendation of a friend to get a used car inspected before purchase. Donnie was very friendly and straightforward over the phone and commended me on getting the car inspected ahead of buying. He told me that the latest they could start was 4 pm; unfortunately the dealer was not ready with the car when I got there, and I called Donnie when I realized I would be late and asked if we could start at 4:15. He checked in with his inspector, and said that was fine. I got there, left the car there and started walking to the bank when I got a phone call from either Donnie or the inspector (Daniel, maybe?) saying that there were a few things that they wanted to discuss with me before inspecting the car. The prices were clearly posted and seemed in line with what I've paid before. Walked back, and the inspector told me he drove the car around and there was rattling, and it was clear the wheel bearings were off. He thought that the car had been in a front end impact without being fixed properly and that I should not buy the car. He said he could do the inspection if I still planned on buying it, but he would recommend that I don't get involved with the car. I asked him how much I owed, and he said nothing. So for free, they saved me from spending thousands of dollars on a messed up car. I plan on getting any other car I buy inspected there (as long as it's a reasonable distance from the dealership) and doing my future repairs/maintenance there even if it's a little ways from my house. Great service, super honest people, reasonable prices. read more

We went there because of the very good reviews on cartalk.com. They were very nice, honest and helpful. They found two minor points and made us a quote with a little overestimated price so we don't have any bad surprise once we actually decide to fix issues there.
