I was heading out of town for the weekend and knew my car needed some TLC so I decided to make an appointment here because I would be in the area anyway. I'm so glad I did choose this shop. It was clean, easy to find, and it wasn't crowded. Adam was awesome! He was friendly and detailed and kept everything in the shop moving smoothly. He seemed like an honest guy and was really transparent. My car is about 8 years old so needs some love but he took the time to break down what what was the most important to focus on now and what we can wait to chip at over time. We keep going back because they have earned our trust with their honesty (no gouging!), fairness, and exceptional service. The front desk staff are ultra-professional and highly focused on customer satisfaction, and the mechanics don't leave a trace of their presence in your vehicle after their service. I pulled into Midas at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon with a nail in my tire and my tire quickly deflating. I was more an hour from my home and had already stopped by the nearby Firestone. Firestone was so unhelpful. Adam at Midas was so kind and willing to assist even though it was close to closing time. They quickly replaced my tire and I was back on the road within a 1/2 hour. Had some rust issues with my muffler. The dealership wanted $1,500 to replace the entire muffler. Took it to Midas for a second opinion. I was greeted as soon as I walked thru the door and they took my car in immediately for a free exhaust system evaluation. The muffler had two separate rusted areas and they were about to cut, replace and weld the problem spots. I was in and out in just over an hour and saved about $1,000! First of all, I had scheduled/confirmed an appointment to come in between the hours of 8AM - 10AM on Thursday, 9/21 for quick in and out oil change service, and I actually showed up at 7:59AM to the location. The employee didn't even start with a "Good morning"; he was extremely rude and automatically started to complain to me that he was short staffed and that he himself was sick and wasn't even suppose to be scheduled to work today and that now because of that I have to wait a few hours, not even apologizing for the inconvenience but basically telling me "oh well you have to wait, whether you like it or not"... he seemed like a white privileged type of individual, around his mid forties, long hair type of man, and was just very rude. His tone was out of line and didn't even try to rectify the situation. I'm extremely disappointed in the kind of service this business operates in and just pushes customers away. I'll be honest, I don't care how you feeling and how moody you can be, but you don't just talk to someone with rudeness and just poor customer service, especially when you're working on a customer service environment. I will definitely not going to this place ever again and I will never recommended any to go there either. I will be also sending a letter to Midas Corporate office of this horrible experience. read more

I've been putting off getting my oil changed for a very long time now. Then the snow came... Finally, I decided to put that $24.99 coupon that came with my grocery receipt to use. Not only did I get my oil changed, but I got my tires rotated too. There was one job ahead of me, so it wasn't ready in a "jiffy". I arrived at noon and was out around 1:30 which is exactly how long the counter guy told me it would be. it's close enough to Wheaton Plaza that you could walk there and kill some time if you were to have a more time consuming repair. They did the job that needed to be done and I saved money, so it was worth the wait. read more

I took a recently purchased car in for an oil change. I made the appointment via the web. Everything went well. Then the manager informed me that I didn't need an oil change yet. My new car uses synthetic oil and that means a different oil change schedule. Kudos to Midas for HONESTY. They could have easily changed my oil and charged me for it even though it wasn't needed. I would probably have never known. I greatly appreciate their customer service and integrity. I had earlier written a negative review when - at the beginning of the pandemic - I was concerned about the way pandemic guidelines were being implemented. I could find no way through Yelp (did you know that they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE available apparently to users?) to delete or modify that review given the pressures of the early pandemic days. I hope you will read this review. Their management of pandemic cautions have greatly improved and I truly wish I could remove that older review. I left a service I was using for over 10 years to use Midas. I am glad I did. Give them a chance. Your car will be the better for it. read more

I desperately needed to get my car registration updated after having it sit in the garage for over a year due to teleworking and covid mandates. It needed repairs after inspection, so I called on a Saturday (of all days) and they squeezed me in and had me out ON the same day after replacing brake calipers and a muffler exhaust pipe. I took my truck to the Wheaton location in July and because it is an older vehicle, I had difficulty obtain parts. The service team there helped me locate the parts on line and were very patient with the two week delay with the arrival of the correct parts. Several months ago, I stopped in to Midas to get my headlights fixed and have been a loyal customer ever since. Whenever I walk in, they remember me and my car- I feel that they take great care of us! Eric is great at calling at communicating any issues, costs, etc... and giving you an honest opinion about what maintenance is necessary and what issues are not a big deal. I've had oil changes, headlight changes, headlight defogging (sanded to look brand new!), brake repairs, and belt replacements. I always feel like I am treated with respect when I walk in the door. When I tell you TOP notch service I mean it! I came here back in 2017 because my tires were making a horrible noise. One of the mechanics took key and went to check it out. He pulled off then came back and told me to take a ride with him. While riding with him I notice the noise was gone. When we got back to the shop he said guess what it was. I said what. The tire nuts were loose. With that being said he could've told me anything and charged me a lot of money and I would've paid because I didn't know any better. But the fact that he was totally honest with me and didn't charge me anything and wouldn't even accept a tip is the reason why I will always come back here! Great customer service. I called Midas telling them I needed a new alternator. I just had a new battery installed and my car died again. Instead of telling me to come in and just changing my alternator and charging me, the person I spoke to gave me great advice. Simply told me to go back to the person who just installed my new battery and make sure it wasn't installed incorrectly or defective. Guess what, he was right, it was installed wrong. I worry most mechanics will just charge you all kinds of money but this Midas is stand up and true to their craft. I will give them all my business moving forward! read more
