But it's enough that if you're already headed to the area then you should wait to fill up and save 20 to 22 cents per gallon. And then there's QuikTrip. This clean and efficient gas station is the new standard for convenience stores. Brightly lit, well stocked, reasonably priced, CLEAN and with associates who can actually speak English in a friendly manner. Love the QT. Hot dogs look like maybe they haven't been sitting on the rollers for hours. Coolers are well stocked with cold drinks. And the gas pumps actually have squeegees and liquid for cleaning windshields. I love the QT concept and execution.

I told the cashier (Ed, I think he said) I would go get the person who was actually wanting the alcohol and have him come inside to purchase it (he was the Designated Driver & wanted to be able to drink once we were back home in NC). He was smoking while I tried to get the drinks so we could hurry up and get home since kids were in the car and very tired, as was I. So, I tapped on the glass to get the attention of my cousin who was smoking out by the car and pointed to the alcohol to sign "hey, I don't have my id" and motioned for him to come inside to pay for it. As I approached the register to sit the alcohol down on the counter and let 'Ed' know that someone would come inside to pay for it, I hear Walter on the phone with the police telling them that he needs them to come to the store because I stole the alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What!? Are you freaking kidding me.....? WTAF.....? I explained to Walter that he had just heard me explain to the cashier what I was doing and that I could not believe he actually called the police on me. To this day I am still appalled! This young punk has no business working in customer service! They definitely cannot gauge someone's age correctly! I have a daughter who is 19 years old in College! And although very flattering, I haven't been carded in 12 years. Out of principle, I left the alcohol sitting there and none of us... myself, my husband, my aunt nor my two cousins will EVER shop at another QT again! Even for a 15 gallon tank, you're only saving $2.40 so it's not worth going out of your way. But if you're already heading down Highway 321 from Gastonia towards Clover, then it's worth waiting to fill up. The pump area is covered and the receipt printer worked. There is not a lot of traffic in this part of the world, so getting back on to 321 southbound is not difficult. This mini-mart is selling BP fuel products. There is also a convenience store. They have a little convenience store side that has just about everything. And when I say everything, they even have an ice scraper. Remember, it's June in South Carolina and they have an ice scraper hanging on the rack. Very funny. I also walked over and checked out the restaurant. Little small grill with maybe 6 to 8 tables.
