Rosas from Epiphany Dermatology on Texas Ave. During my two…read morevisits she did nothing but attempt to push medication on me without doing the proper tests for a full diagnoses even after I asked politely to do so. The alternative was 30 days of a strong medication. Long story short I had to travel all the way to Atlanta to get proper care. My actual dermatologist was appalled at the dosage they tried to give me, ran the proper tests without me having to ask, resolved my issues with one visit. If I hadn't, the misdiagnosis they gave at Epiphany could've caused me to develop a fatal infection. As a black woman I never felt more unheard than when I did with V. Rosas for my skin concerns. Please always advocate for yourself. If you ever feel like something is off, don't let folks play in your face.

These people are on a first name patients with their patients & not just the Doctors, the entire staff! Once we got in to her exam room, the Medical Assistant, Jesse was taking her vitals & I told him that my Grandfather passed away & if there was anything he could do to get us through the appointment fast, it would be greatly appreciated because his services were in just a few hours. This staff sprung in to action! Jeff Taylor, the Nurse Practitioner who she was assigned to came in to the exam room, looked straight in to her eyes and sincerely apologized for her loss. He addressed her pain and distress in a professional and compassionate manor & we were on our way in no time. On the way out, she was hugged and greeted by this wonderful staff. I live in Los Angeles and can't be with my Grandmother but I'm so grateful for this caring staff & feel relieved that they care for her so well. It eases my mind like you wouldn't believe. Jessica made everything easy for me with her quick responses and kept me on track. The hygienist did a great job hands down 5stars same with Leslie and her team mate made sure I was well every chance they had. They work great with the doctor! Everyone and even the manager had been very polite, its like as if they are 100% real people. Either they get paid very well or they love what they do! (Hint for Dr Amir) They answered every question and made my visit welcomed and at home. I couldn't answer with my mouth full of spit, pillow block, and few other things lol... But the assistants and Dr. Amir were very attentive and cared about my well being during dental procedures. Cons: Remember I said I felt at home? Yes, I went in on a very pact date, Christmas Eve. But... I felt at home home.. watched a full movie. Think the words gone out that Dr Amir and his team are rockstars and the place just gets packed easily. Maybe they need another Dr. Or... they may just need to call in less appointments daily. Last con: Communication, In my opinion I noticed a little communication going on and thought they may need to work on it a bit more. Like team planning before going into a room with a patient. You expect them to tell you everything they are going to do to you prior to consenting to any type or surgery right? But that was one thing that was never mentioned. The lady that comes in to charge you and claims to be the office manager is the the rudest person in that place. When she explains the charges she tries to tell you everything quick like she's obviously trying to make you feel rushed before so you can sign quickly. When asked questions she barely answers and now I see why. When I called back to ask why I was being charged for a bone graft the lady named Claudia who I'm sure was the same lady I dealt with due to her tone and attitude in her voice began acting very hostile, extremely rude and basically couldn't give a straight answer. Her reasoning was, we charged you that because you got it done. Now I looked at videos of what a bone replacement graft is and my procedure looked nothing like that and again was never mentioned. Anyway, learning experience. Positive things: the staff ( besides that awful woman) were very nice and welcoming. I dealt with the dentist that extracted my tooth and a different one when I went back for the follow up and both very nice and professional, answered all my questions. I didn't know about the bone graft at this time until after I left the follow up if not that would have been a definite question. I would say next time but I'm not so sure if I can go back to this place. Im very upset to that "manager" handled the situation.
