This clinic blew me away with its charm, compassion and service. I was in town briefly for my Grandfathers funeral & I accompanied my Grandmother to an appointment she set up that same morning for exceptional pain (probably brought on by stress due to her husbands death) First, the clinic is very clean, they offer coffee & offer snack to the patients by taking a little snack cart around. These people are on a first name patients with their patients & not just the Doctors, the entire staff! Once we got in to her exam room, the Medical Assistant, Jesse was taking her vitals & I told him that my Grandfather passed away & if there was anything he could do to get us through the appointment fast, it would be greatly appreciated because his services were in just a few hours. This staff sprung in to action! Jeff Taylor, the Nurse Practitioner who she was assigned to came in to the exam room, looked straight in to her eyes and sincerely apologized for her loss. He addressed her pain and distress in a professional and compassionate manor & we were on our way in no time. On the way out, she was hugged and greeted by this wonderful staff. I live in Los Angeles and can't be with my Grandmother but I'm so grateful for this caring staff & feel relieved that they care for her so well. It eases my mind like you wouldn't believe. Called to ask if I could take my son in for a school physical. The lady on the phone said " yes we accept walk-ins until 6 pm" I get there and they ask me to sign in. I wait forever and finally ask when I would be called and it turns out they were calling out Norma instead of Nancy. Then the receptionist tells me they are not taking new patients. I said I just called and someone told me I could walk in for a school physical so she goes and confirms and then asks me to fill out some paperwork. No apology no admission of a mistake. The staff is cold and self involved as well as uninformed. They will not apologize for making mistakes. However the place is nice and the medical staff was professional and friendly. read more

I rarely get cough, fever, weakness/fatigue enough to force me to seek medical help, but after several days of self-medication with multiple salt-water gargles, my body simply didn't respond. At the behest of my better half, I was able to park my Ranger at work and hike the short distance to this fine facility. Walking in, I was greeted with enthusiam, led by Eddie, who gave me valuable personalized assistance in properly filling out the required documentation. I was quite impressed with how quickly Medical Assistant Gloria got me into the clinic room and take my vitals (all good, except for excessive weight!). Shortly thereafter, PA Astrid entered and evaluated my condition, while I slowly inhaled/exhaled, as well as irrigating my plugged starboard ear. This is an extremely professional medical facility, open six days/week: Monday - Friday (07:00-20:00), Saturday (08:00-17:00) and always ready to help anybody who comes through the door, either by appointment or walk-in. I'm from out of town and Ive been here twice. Both times I was very impressed. The staff was friendly, professional and caring. The facility is spotless. They explain everything clearly and are patient with questions. Their billing department had everything correct, which Im finding is a rarity nowadays (I worked in several billing departments over the last 35 years, including medical) and I have had trouble receiving a refund for overpayment from other El Paso Dr. offices but the staff here has it down to a science. I've been to this location before with another doctor who was very kind and generous. However, that was not my experience when I went in as a walk-in today. The first thing I did was let the assistant at the front desk know my reason for visit, which is because I have a cyst on my cheek. Instead of letting me know right then and there that they can't help with anything on the face and that I needed to see a dermatologist, they charged me a $75 deposit, put me in a room for 15 minutes and had the doctor come in and tell me there wasn't anything to do. The charge at the end was $49. They charged me $49 for literally nothing, other than telling me my height and weight. I had to ask for antibiotics. read more

My husband and I came to the clinic on March 20, 2018 in the morning around 8:30 am. I was syrprised how long we waited just to get our blood drawn. We waited over an hour and the area they took us in the back was very unsatisfactory. I t was a very small , dingy looking waiting area with about 12 chairs . The area should have only had about 6 chairs. We were in very close quarters with people who were coughing and blowing his/her nose and it was very uncomfortable . We waited in the back about another 22 minutes because for a place this large they only had One 1 person drawing blood and I was absolutely surprised. You come into the building and see all the plush up front and then for something as important as drawing blood you have a very small and congested area. You all need to look at this situation and do something about it. You act like we live in a third world country with such an inferior places as this. There is also a sign saying this Labcorp is the only accepted place for patients to have their blood drawn. SHAME, SHAME on you WellMed. You draw your patients in and then give them this kind of treatment in the back. You have lots of people up front to take your money and such a nice sitting area out front but int he area to get something as important as blood drawn you have a very small cramped area and only one person doing it. I had blood drawn here years ago and it was a nice area and the process went very fast. Today it is awful and unacceptable. It took pictures and plan to upload them on facebook letting people know you are not really what you claim to be upfront. Do something about that dispictable area where blood is drawn and hire more people like Quest and other places do and treat your patients like they really matter not just up front but in the back of the office as well. We paid and have paid good money to have a nice area for drawing blood. read more
