I always shopped at Victoria's Secret and I always had bras that just didn't fit. I heard about this place through a friend and I went in to get sized and I had to put my name on a waiting list and I waited but it was well worth the wait. My back hurts way less and I don't have that always awkward double boob going on. They were incredibly helpful and kind. I thought it was a little crazy how busy it was but I won't go anywhere else anymore. They have a decent selection in stores but they can show you a catalog that they can order out of and it makes the selection way bigger. I will be going back again in the future for sure! read more

This was the most disappointing bra shopping I have done. Not only are they rude on the phone but they are rude in person. Their selection is very limited and they tried to tell me to size up for more comfort. When I asked them to order me the correct size they don't do that. I wanted to cry by the time I left because they are not friendly and it is already a nerve racking experience to have to shop for bras when you are big chested by a size 4. On the recommendation of other reviewers, I drove out to Burlington and found Sophisticated Pair. There were 4 other customers in the store yet I was greeted promptly and offered help if it was needed. I had the girl fit me and she agreed that I needed a 30G/GG unlike bra patch telling me I needed a 34DD. She asked what I wanted in a bra and pulled me a couple different styles. Then she offered to place orders for anything I wanted and to ship it to me free of charge. I bought 4 bras and ordered another 3. Bra patch could learn a thing or two about customer service. In this economy I am going to go to a store that works with me and goes above and beyond to set themselves apart by being knowledgeable and courteous. read more

I really hate to do this but my experience is one I would not wish on anyone else. Being that I'm in my 60's and for the first time ever wanted a true fitting, I was so looking forward to this , and when the lady took me back, she measured, didn't ask me what style or anything so before she got gone, i merely suggested that she bring underwire if possible, and one with a little thickness so things wouldnt show when i got cold as i still work and meet with the opposite sex periodically, just modesty is all i wanted to make sure of, but she acted annoyed that i stopped her. then she brought me in some to try that honestly the material was so hard, it felt cheap and it was 70.00, very hard and thin and when i tried on, it pointed out the sides so she got more, still thin and showing my things i didn't want to show thru clothes when temp dropped, she got really flustered and say, we may not have what you need at all, what???? and then i gingerly asked for a sports bra with underwire, and i liked it, 80.00 but that was ok, a good one, i knew i would pay, it was gray and i softly asked if there was one in this style in the lime green that i saw out on display and she said no, and i said could we order, she said it is last years color and the company would laugh at her asking for it???? what???? it just did not go well at all, I'm busty so I felt like i had to take the blame for that and it was my fault the store couldn't service me. it was such a let down and i left there ashamed of my body, i let her make me feel that way so never again. and i do hate giving a bad review typically but not this time, i do not want this to happen to another older woman or even a young woman. read more

After having a mastectomy and reconstruction, I needed new bras. Although I'm not large, I had no idea how to fit these new girls. Department store experience was dreadful. I was directed to what turned out to be the wrong size as a way to fit my implants. I bought 2 size 40 D and went home crying. As a last attempt, I drove an hour to the Bra Patch. I shared my problem with the wonderful woman working and she set out to help me. First she measured me, took note of the placement of my implants and brought me bras to try, 2 at a time. I tried on probably 20 and, hallelujah, found 2 styles that fit MY body. (36C by the way). I bought 2 and they special ordered 2 more in other colors, which will be mailed to me. When I saw the doctor about the breast pain I had, she recommended this store for the best supportive bras available and I was not disappointed. After I had my first child, my body was different. I got back to my pre-baby weight, but my breasts were not the same as before. I was really excited about going to be fitted after hearing such great things about this place. My mother in law gave me a gift certificate and I went one night after work. The woman that "helped" me was not friendly. She shoved me in a room and told me to take off my bra and shirt. I waited a few minutes and then she came back and asked my bra size. I was confused. I thought that's what she was supposed to tell me. I told her that I needed to be measured and she picked up my bra from the floor, looked at it, looked back at me, and said that size was fine. This was after I had been saying my bras don't fit right since having a child. She brought me a few bras in the size of the bra I came in. I bought two of them because I was desperate for new bras and had the gift certificate, but would much rather have gone to a department store. I could have gotten at least four bras for the money two cost me at the Bra Patch and the sales clerk at a department store probably would have made an effort with a tape measure. Needing a low back strapless bra for a special occasion, I had to make the drive into Raleigh to find a "specialty" store. After two kids and 41 birthdays, I'm not the 34B I was in high school. In other words, I'm no longer an off the rack bra buyer. I got to the store right at 10:01 and the ladies working were totally prepared to help me as I walked in. The lady who I worked with was no-nonsense and professional. She measured me and brought me just what I needed and explained to me why I needed that style vs something more, ahem, comfortable. I am so glad this place exists. This isn't a discount store and you pay sticker price so it's fair. The selection is what makes the Bra Patch special and so important. The women here are helpful, not the least bit pushy, and make it very comfortable to open up and find the right fit. I raved about it to my friend and she got me a gift card here for my birthday! I've always had large breasts, and I could never find anything that fit. I had been to every store in my area, and had been fitted by so many sales people only to be disappointed that nothing worked. I had terrible back aches and bruising on my shoulders. My best friend told me about this place so I tried it out. OMG! I signed in and was telling the lady about how I was feeling about not being able to find a bra. She was so sweet and sympathetic to my needs. She measured me, went to the back and came back with two bras...neither worked for me. She left and came back with the third...still didn't work. She was determined to fit me before I left, and remained patient and willing throughout the session. She came back the last time with a bra that fit me like a glove!! It lifts, supports, and loves me dearly!! I was so overwhelmed at how it felt that I started crying!!! The lady just hugged me and joined me in my moment of sheer and utter happiness. I am so greatful to the Bra Patch...you have no idea! The first day I went they were slow. Lady immediately greeted me. I told her I had struggled for years since I am a 44i...I know that now! She measured me and brought in several options. I wanted something with no underwire, which is hard to find. She keep trying until she found something that fit right and had the feel/look I wanted. I will only shop here. The people that have complained about this store..this is not a browsing store. If you want to shop, go to the big box stores. If you want custom treatment, go to the Bra Patch. I like it here. It's hard for me to look at a bra and see how it's going to fit. So, I really like the personal attention and advice. You should replace your bra every six to twelve months. They stretch out and don't give you the best support...read up on it and you'll see what I mean. So, I go every six months, get resized and buy 2-3 new bras. A coworker came in raving about the place at lunch on Monday. So I went the very next day. The lady took me to a dressing room, measured around me (only under the breast area). That was the only measurement she took. I measured 38. She brought me about 6 bras, she checked the fit for everyone - adjusted straps,etc. I mentioned that the bras bands kept curling up on me. She said it was oK, it would stretch. This is the worst bra purchase I have ever made...60 some bucks...it cuts into my skin, leaving marks. I have marks under my arm and on my back when I take it off at night. Trying a bra on for a few minutes does not assure you of fit. They have a no refund policy. I honestly believe this bra is too small for me. It cuts into my skin everywhere. I have worn the bra for three straight days, it is so uncomfortable.... read more

Very disappointed! I had been looking forward to visiting the store for a few weeks in hopes I could find a good fitting bra after having my daughter. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. The lady that did my fitting brought me to the dressing room and measured just around my rib cage then left quickly before I could tell her what I was looking for. She returned with 2 styles. Both fit moderately well but they were embellished with lace and bows. When I told her I was looking for a smooth cup without the bows, she told me that all their bras had bows. She had me put on my shirt to see how it looked. You could clearly see the lines of the bra through my loose fitting t-shirt. When I told her again I wanted a smooth cup she looked irritated and said she would check the floor again. She came back with another bra, still with lace and bows. I told her thanks but no thanks. I went to Lane Bryant where I was remeasured and the sales person listened to my wants before suggesting styles. Also they have plenty of bras without lace and bows!! read more

I have bought two bras from the Bra Patch over the last 9 months. After spending almost $100 for each bra, you would think it would last at least 6 months but it didn't and the owner is not willing to do anything but send it back to the company. Won't be back! read more

My mother just had a double mastectomy last week, so as you can imagine, she is very uncomfortable. And she was not the least bit thrilled about getting a new bra. But her plastic surgeon told her that it would be great for her to start wearing mastectomy bras to heal for her full reconstruction. He sent us to kohl's, which had nothing. So I googled and the bra patch came up with having a wide selection of post mastectomy and breast cancer bras. We went in this morning and the woman who specializes in this was more than amazing. She didn't bat an eye at the drains and was so gentle and knowledgable. We walked out with 2 new bras, drain holders, and one less thing for my mom to worry about. I cannot suggest them enough, especially if you are going through something similar. It was pricey, and I'm not sure about how much they would be elsewhere. But we didn't care. Her comfort was too important to try and wait and order off amazon or something. Very thankful for the bra patch today! read more

Perhaps your experience may depend on who does your fitting? The person who did mine tightly measured my ribcage and told me the number, then brought a bra with the right band width but too big of a cup. She then proceeded to bring bras with the same cup size and smaller band widths. When I told her the band was too tight I needed the size she measured me at she said "but the first one you tried on was too big", yes the cup size was but not the band...She continued to bring other bras that fit even worse...needless to say it was not a pleasant experience. I foolishly bought a bra with too small a band size, but with a good cup size. I have to use a spacer in the back to get it to fit and realized today when I put it on that the straps are really uncomfortable. It was not a cheap bra and they have a no return policy. Very displeased with the customer service at the store. She didn't seem interested in making sure I had something that fit right for me- but rather making me fit into what they happened to have in the store. read more
