They helped me figure out my coupons and what deals were going on, so I was able to buy more than I came for! Both of them were wonderful, and I hope they're there next time. Torrid of. Art is great. They are friendly and helpful. My normal method is shopping online but sometimes you need something in a pinch and this location is perfect! I grabbed this dress last min for a cute dinner. Everything is Torrid minus the bag and hat. Bag is coach, hat from target! I will try to add an update in a separate review! I've shopped at Torrid for years, more recently usually online. However today I had the opportunity of going to the actual brick & mortar store. I had earned $125 in torrid cash that I planned on spending online rather than jn store; however my daughter needed something specific & we decided to go yo the physical this time. We purchased the following item in the pictures today in-store. It was full-price but the employee suggested using Torrid cash towards it to bring the cost down, otherwise it's full price. So as suggested we used Torrid cash towards our purchased l; only to come home and see the very same garment on sale for roughly $23 online! This means I paid full-price in-store & used Torrid cash to bring it down to $25 & still paid more! I could've used that Torrid cash towards another item I wanted! I began looking at other items purchased & prices were all over the board! Why do the prices online not match what's in store. I basically just got scammed out of all the Torrid cash I earned $125 towards full price items in store that we're ion sale online! I could've purchased the same items online and saved my Torrid cash to go towards full price items (like, really full oriced items) I would love like. I love Torrid but this is a HUGE disappointment: the sales reps at the physical store said nothing about the sale prices online for the same item; & shouldn't they all match anyway. I'm sure there's probably some small print they'll refer me to in the long run about this, maybe I've missed it (something like proves reflected online are not the prices reflected in-store, or some crap like that! To me this is very dishonest! They rewarded me for shipping with them online & in-store by me earning Torrid Cash, & then they directed me to use it to save money in store when the same items were on sale online, therefore I was NOT rewarded, I was scammed! Shame on you Torrid! Always, always check the online prices if you ship at Torrid and be sure to know that you're actually getting rewarded by using Torrid Cash. I really wanted to love this store. There sales associates are so nice but their manager is rotten. In reflection they seemed to avoid her. No smile. No customer service. Just rude and does not seem to care about returning customers. After my second bad interaction I just left my items there. I could tell the other associate wanted to keep helping me. But I guess they are afraid of her. She was rude to another customer before me and stayed in her mood. I can not spend money at a store or with someone looking down on their customers. Really nice clothes. I've seen this store numerous times in NJ but never went in because I always thought it was just for plus sizes, I'm not a plus women, but naturally curvy in the right places. It's always hard to find jeans that hug my curve & works with my short statue. I went in today while visiting my niece and bought some really nice jeans. I went to the store and the sign said closed until unknown whatever. So I used my gift cards online. Worst experience ever. I ordered clothes a month ago. The app said it didn't recognize my address and asked if I wanted to use the "recommended address" which was noticeably wrong as it was only the house number. I declined and finished my order. Even double checked before submitting that the address was right. Sometime later I check to see when it will be delivered... wrong address. I call in. Nothing they can do but refund when the stuff gets returned. I used gift cards and threw them away.. silly me thinking online ordering would be fine and get to me properly. Fast forward a month and all lies from getting me new gift cards and reordering when money is returned and now "check you credit card statement" ... what? Just lies. No help and I'm out 2 gift cards totaling $150. read more

I had seen Torrid's clothes online for sometime and always thought they were cute, however when you're fluffy knowing if something is going to look right on you is a huge guessing game, and ordering something and paying for shipping to return it? Uh, yeah, no thanks. So i must say i was very excited to see Torrid nestled in between Ulta and Honeybaked ham in cary. There is a major problem with plus size clothes. Often they either look too trasy/hussie, or they look like grandma. I think Torrid is a good middle road. For those of use who are professionals by day and want to be fun by night without looking trashy, there are a lot of great options here. Prices are still along the same lines as what you'll find in most plus size stores (read price-y), however the quality of what you get is very good. Staff are extremely friendly and there is a HUGE selection here. AND YOU CAN RETURN/EXCHANGE STUFF THAT YOU BOUGHT ONLINE IN STORE....ROCK.ON. If you're looking for an alternative to the current plus size clothes options, i strongly recommend coming in to Torrid. Sizes start at 12 and go through 28. Happy shopping and dressing! read more

Great location! Situated between at Ulta and DSW. The clerks are always friendly and helpful. I've yet to have anything but great service here. The store is a mid-size location and carries a decent amount of inventory. The Sales racks can get a little stale but will eventually refresh. read more

Let me first start out by saying I love Torrid and I am a regular. They have cute trendy clothes which are great for just about any age group. Their inventory changes pretty regularly which means the clothing never gets stale but also means you kinda need to get what you like when you can or roll the dice and hope it ends up on the clearance rack. Love the sales women who work there too. They are always super nice and helpful. However, my one criticism that I have about this Torrid store is their recent store redesign on the sales floor. It's terrible and it totally counterintuitive to Torrid's clientele! If you want curvy women (and people with disabilities) to enjoy shopping in your store do not add shelving that is so close to each other that you can't move around easily and comfortably. Petite women also can't even reach in between the racks (or way up high) to access items. Are y'all sure you want us to spend our money in your store because you are doing a really good job of helping me keep it in my pocket! I even overheard a guy who came in with his lady say "This store is smaller" and he was a six footer! So you can imagine how I feel at 4'8". I really hope they have a crew come in there and fix the situation ASAP. So unfortunately I gotta give my joint 3 stars. :( read more

I literally could not be any happier with my experience here. I lack a natural sense of style (jeans and t-shirt girl myself... Or all black errythang). This weekend i went to the mall (what was I thinking) and had a mental breakdown because it was so busy and no one was one iota of help. Nothing fit right, nothing looked right and I was just over it. The perfect young lady (will update name when I find receipt) was SO AMAZING. I just busted in the door and said "I have no style, a huge interview and can you please help me.". 20 minutes later im walking out with two outfits that fit *perfectly* and a fresh confidence. First visit to this store after an online search led me there. I found beautiful clothing that I was unable to attain at any other shopping place. Alex was more than kind and helpful trying to help me find a red dress to wear to a wedding. The young lady working was able to find out that even online that dress was out of stock. What touched my heart was that they all cared to help me find my dress an treated me like family. I was able to purchase other items I needed and will be more than delighted to come back an shop in the future. If you can't find your size at Victoria Secret or any places that do not have options for full sized women then definitely go see these wonderful people. Ok! So, my sister and I came to this store on 6/3/2019 because I desperately needed summer clothing. The store closed at 9pm and we arrived at 8pm. I'm a terrible shopper and get crazy anxiety but my sister is a fashionista and was there to make it easy. Well, there were three associates working when we arrived, and they were beyond nice. They were super helpful in finding us extra pieces, complimenting outfits I tried on and just casually chatting with us while they were closing the store for the evening. They didn't rush us at all while we were shopping and trying on clothes. We ended up not leaving until about twenty after nine based on making all the purchases we did and the woman checking us out needing to order a few things online for us. Torrid is a store that I always feel way more comfortable in when I'm shopping, and these three woman were amazing. I JUST visited this store about 5 minutes ago. There were FOUR people working, one on the register by the time I got in line and one person in line in front of me. Apparently there was an issue with the customer ahead of me attempting to use what she thought mistakenly was her Torrid card. NO ONE else working there offered to open the second register and cash me out. I had to stand there and wait for whatever issue the customer in front of me was having, be resolved. A person that appeared to be in charge even came over to assist the cashier and didn't offer to cash me out. I put the items down I was gonna purchase, and immediately left the store to post this review. I had shopped here in the past several times but will not be again! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
