WARNING... This Dentist and its website leads you to believe they know how to care for patients with dental anxiety...they DO NOT. They state things like personalized care and "family" practice...and that is far from the truth or my experience. They DO NOT specialize in IV sedation and will pin your hands to your chest while extracting your tooth when your fully conscious as you pay full price. Then have their secretary insult you and belittle you for being " not normal " and "didn't respond to the medicine ". I only wanted to speak with the Dr after the botched treatment and trauma I experienced, yet several emails and a phone calls later ... all I got was another $800 added to my $4000 bill for a tooth pull and cleaning. warning to anyone that might be looking for a quality dentist.. look elsewhere! I am 48 and a public school teacher who gets anxiety anytime someone is grinding my teeth down , especially for a crown. So I paid out of pocket for a single visit , to be put under for a tooth extraction rather then 5 visits for it to have a crown and later a tooth canal . I was never put under, started to cry and hyperventilate as they held my arms to my chest and preyed out my molar . The experience left me with another traumatic memory and a $4000 bill and they now are chasing me down for their last additional $800 payment. But won't even give me the respect of a call back where I can ask the Dr why in hell didn't they let me stop or speak or anything when I was obviously in distress and discomfort... if they know so much of "personal " care of anxiety patients . They did not listen to my wishes on what procedures I do not want done. They used double talk so I thought I was having a routine procedure but in fact they performed the exact treatment I repeatedly refused. They type whatever they want in the computer so that it seems like I agreed to everything. The treatment plan form is a joke, you say what you agree to and what you do not. They act like only what you agreed to is what you are signing for but that is not correct. So make them print out a form showing only what you agreed to before signing...learn from my experience. They do want they want and charge your insurance, knowing full well that certain procedures are not covered. So, you are left with a big bill you did not want, did not agree to and did not even know they were performing it until it's too late. When I questioned, they were evasive. When fighting the charges, I was told they contacted my insurance to get pre-authorization, but that was incorrect! At the very least, I should have been informed that the insurance may not cover the treatment and then it should have been left up to me to decide if I wanted to proceed. If they had told me, I believe they knew I would not agree. They put making money before patient's needs, wants and financial hardship. In addition, I also had a crown replaced and it still hurts 2 years later. So I have been through a lot of stress, spent a lot of money and deal with pain everyday. read more

This has been the worst dental experience ever. I went with a cracked tooth and sensitivity of a root canal. I was told I needed to have those 2 teeth extracted. Immediately after that they recommended implants. The billing person came in with the cost of the procedure of 10,000.00. My insurance only paid a bit over $1,000 and the rest I'm still paying. Results: The crown (a bridge, not individual crowns) have air pockets, one of the crowns is very large and bothers my gum. I went back last week. This time Dr. Harris went in, cracked the crown and tightened the implants, sanded the crown and my good tooth so badly that went I eat the food gets stuck in between and it's hard to get the food residue out when flossing. On top of that Dr. Harris cut some of the gum (I guess so the gum could grow back and cover the extra large crown. Now I'm in pain, the the air pockets are still there, the gum looks infected and my good tooth hurts. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL OFFICE, NOR DR. HARRIS. Needless to say I just made an appointment to see a different doctor. read more

This is now my go to for all things in family dentistry. The employees are amazing. My daughter and I have had different hygienists and each have been fantastic, using the latest dental technology and cleaning techniques. Teeth are important to me and so I am really picky when it comes to a good teeth cleaning and care. The office is immaculate. Staff is considerate and the lady at the front desk is so sweet! They cancel appointments after you've already confirmed (has happened multiple times), keep you waiting for hours and the one time I'm running late (15min) they cancel all 3 appts we had for the day. Told us we could come back in March. Nope, you've lost 4 patients. read more

The office staff, xray techs, hygienists and the doctors are friendly, caring and it truly feels like they are there to help you. Rip off artist's, they like to refer people to expensive Spezialist, told my wife a very long time ago that she need's to go to deep cleaning for about $7000 and she is still doing fine after all these years. Did the same to me!! I found a really good dentist that only dose what's needed, for a reasonable price. PS. My wife needed a filing replaced, the doctor wanted to send her to a root canal specialist first, she had a different dentist replace the filing. Two years later it's still fine. I really wanted to like this dentists office since it's in a fabulously convenient location. However, I'll be looking for a different dentist office after my experience. I went in for an appointment where I had previously given them all of my personal and insurance information. I arrived 5 minutes early. 45 minutes later they were still sorting through my insurance information and had said nothing to me. I could hear the two women taking about how it still wasn't sorted out. So I asked what was going on. They said they could bill me directly. They already told me they take my insurance and I had already given them all the information. I don't have the luxury of spending the morning at a dentists office for no reason. My husband and I had to find to new dentist since our current one was no longer taking our dental insurance, I looked up other dentist online and found your location to be convenient and looked at other reviews and decided it was worth trying. Worst experience ever! Confirmed my dental insurance and coverage before I went. While I was there the hygienist went up to the front desk to 'confirm' my coverage multiple times as she kept adding X-rays, deep cleaning etc to my first time visit (for a simple cleaning only). She repeated to me numerous times "you have wonderful Insurance!" "Everything is covered 100%". I told her each time that unless it was covered by insurance I was not interested in anything extra. Well, low and behold, I finish 3 hours later and was checking out and the billing lady told that they did NOT take my insurance! I was stunned. She then said she would just go ahead and bill them and let me know. Soon after I received a bill for $78 which I talked to three different ladies in the office about, left word for the manager to call me (no return call), the dentist and finally a collection agency contacted me. I will never go back, never recommend nor will I ever pay this bill. I find their practices to be very shady. read more

Their staff is very friendly and they really take initiative with knowing your dental history and giving you options for what you would like to get done. Dr. Kelly Harris is a hack. I have never heard any one scream in a dental chair, when I had my 3 kids I didn't scream but I screamed during my root canal and I was crying non-stop. I had an infection in a tooth and needed a root canal. It became obvious that I was in discomfort and she didn't stop. I winced and she put in another shot but kept working. I screamed and started crying and she put in another shot and never stopped working, asked how I was or let me catch my breath. When it was over she couldn't even look me in the eye. Even the dental assistant said she wanted to cry for me. I walked out of there shaking in pain. 3 days later and the tooth hurts worse than before! Dr. Harris is one of the reasons people hate going to the dentist. Avoid at all costs. read more

The service I receive in office is high quality and very professional; however, I have called multiple times only to continually be put on hold with no one to assist me in the insurance claims department. Never receive call-backs or follow-through. It was not always like this so I'm not sure what's going on with the office management in the last months. I had an extremely disappointing experience today. I had an appointment to be evaluated for Invisalign after receiving an email from Bradenton Smiles  with a quote for the cost including my insurance. Unfortunately, after being evaluated at my appointment the cost had gone up significantly. At first the dental assistant was unsure of what was going on, so she had someone named Alicia from billing come in to speak to me. Alicia started out by saying "it's a good thing we caught it now,  because now we know". I could not understand how my insurance was now covering $1,000 less than was stated on an identical form sent to me by Bradenton Smiles a few weeks ago. Not only that, but Alicia was very cold and abrasive, especially when I explained that I did not want to sign the new form. She was not at all forthcoming, but eventually did admit that this was 100% her mistake, and I am shocked at the level of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of transparency. It almost seems as if the original cost was lower in order to get me to come into the office for an evaluation. After hearing about this change in cost, I wanted to discuss with my dentist the treatment plan and what Invisalign is and how it works etc. Shockingly, I was not allowed to do so. The staff actually informed me that the dentist had moved on to other patients, and that if I wanted to speak to her, it would be hours until her procedures were done. I feel as though my time was wasted, and I am really grossed out by the way this situation was handled. read more

They are AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! The office staff stinks! The billing Staff Doesn't care one bit! I had teeth cleaned, deep scathing on gums and a tooth pulled --- was standard dentistry - nothing to shout about EXCEPT...................If you want to end up in Collections then by all means go to Bradenton Smiles because that is exactly what is going to happen! They kept billing the wrong insurance company for my bill --- They had my insurance card, with all the correct information, but were billing the wrong one --- I even got a direct name at my insurance company and number and gave to Bradenton Smiles so they could contact directly, one week later when I called them to verify everything went thru - they said they'd call me back and never did...this happened for 3-6 months -- last I asked them for a detail bill stating I would pay them directly and bill my insurance directly - they never sent it to me, but instead turned it over to collection! When I called the office about it - the very snarky person said that they have no record of my calling for over 6 months --- untrue!! they basically were saying too bad we sent you statements -- Stay away - unless you like having to clean up your credit and deal with a bill collector due to their total incompetence with what should be pretty standard billing process! read more

Probably the worst experience I have ever had at A dentist, they took 18 X-rays and A panoramic X-ray also, the hygienist was very rough and jammed the X-ray piece in my mouth so hard I have A sore in my mouth from it. I was there almost 3 hrs and didn't even have my teeth cleaned, she spent over an hour making my gums bleed by picking at them. She mentioned several times old we people have way more gum problems. I should have walked out, will never go back there ever! read more

I would give them a better rating because she shaved off the remaining glue left by my braces in middle school but it's almost two years after my lower wisdom teeth came out and the right half of my tongue has been numb since the day after the procedure. read more

My 3 year old son needed to get his first check up, I made the appointment a month in advance, when I called I told them that most likely my son would need to be sedated and would not sit there and open his mouth willingly, the lady that I talked to said that they could do that, well today I took my son and he did pretty well with the hygienist, They couldn't do a full cleaning she ended up just brushing his teeth with one of the toothbrushes they hand out to the kids because my son just did not want to do it with the electric tooth cleaning device that they use (I don't know what it's called) When the dentist came in and started doing the check up my son flipped out and just started crying and would not sit there for the check up, so she just said I can't do anything with him he needs to be sedated we don't do that here, I said well I wouldn't of come here if you guys didn't do that I asked before I made the appointment, she said well who did you talk to, I said I don't know I didn't get her name, she said well we don't do that here, I understand that they need to charge me for what they did, I wish they wouldn't of wasted my time saying they do services that they don't do, I had to put my son through all the stress and he didn't get anything done they only brushed his teeth and gave him a cheap plastic toy and it cost me $187 read more

I went here after getting a flyer back in 2013. Ended up getting a cleaning and they told me I needed to get 5 cavities filled. The price they gave me, first of all, was not correct and they overcharged me. I assumed it was a mistake and didnt say anything and just paid it. Then a few months later the cavities didnt take and I had to get most of them redone and paid for it yet again. Finally, a 3rd visit meant that I had to yet again get a couple of cavities, the same cavities THEY filled. Ive never had an issue my whole life like this. I still have a few teeth that i cannot floss because there is a connection from the cavities!!! On top of that I tried to call to make an appt today for a cleaning and they told me I had an outstanding balance that has gone to collections, when I KNOW i had paid all of my invoices. The balance was for someone that I mistakenly reffered to this dentistry. They told me they would not allow me to make another appt when I told her that it couldnt have been my balance. I went to this Dentistry because a friend had recently gone there and said their prices seemed reasonable. Which come to find out their deep cleaning is reasonable but their cavities are not. First off they told me of their insurance discount plan which I signed up for and they didn't give me the discount till I noticed at the next appointment and they fought with me on but I did get it. They also once again over charged me at my 2nd appointment. I had to go back after each cavity filling to have them smooth out the filling and shave some off. I still have too much filling and it's hard to floss between 2 teeth. They tried to charge me the 2nd time I went back for fixing the filling but I said no this is supposed to be free and they didn't charge me. Now a year later 2 of the 3 fillings have fallen out. I didn't get the 4th filling I was supposed to and cancelled further cleanings. I do not recommend this dentistry at all. I have gone to this practice several times with several small complaints but this takes the cake and my business! I cracked my left upper molar and went in for a temp. I was there 3 HOURS! 3 Hours in that stupid chair waiting for my temp crown only to find out it can't be chewed on for the 3 weeks it's in! So, I go in on Monday for my permanent crown and have alerted the staff that I have an hour to have it done on two occasions and they assured my that this was no problem. An hour came and went and No Dr. Harris at all. So we are now at over 4 hours and 2 trips. So I have to come back the next day. I went back and guess what? the crown, after 3 hours in the chair for the temp does not fit!!!!!!! So what does the BRILLIANT DR. DO???? She grinds it down from the bottom of the tooth after she cements it it instead of from the top at the gum like any other dentist I have gone to!!!!!!! So now, after over 5 hours, $1,8000 I have a crown that does not fit, has been sanded beyond belief and no longer resembles a molar and has lost it's polish and is a chalky food gathering magnet, so the 3 hours for the relief of my tooth was a total wast of time. I now have to go to another dentist to have it repaired as it is painful and ill fitting and needs to be redone. read more
