One word: WOW! No wait, two words: OH WOW! I was recently in OKC to help out at the Yelpies, and the next day my colleague and I decided to have a celebratory brunch before I boarded my flight home to the PNW. Knowing my love for eclectic places with a local vibe, she picked Bradford House. All I can say is...why isn't this place closer to home?! Bradford House is a hotel/restaurant/bar located in an old house which doesn't look super exciting on the outside, but once inside the door I you're greeted by bright, vivid colors, whimsical decor, and all the little touches that make a place special. We meandered through the adorable bar and to the self-service counter to order our food. The server/cashier was absolutely adorable. I wish I remembered her name! She was so helpful and friendly, throughout our entire visit. I ordered the eggs benedict because, well, who can resist an eggs benny on a cold Thursday morning? I also got a glass of their fresh-squeezed OJ, and we shared a French press. The coffee was divine, and I was only a few sips in when my benny arrived. It was SO delish. It had the classic benny components but also a nice shmear of their house-made, semi-spicy bacon jam to put it over the top. This was six days ago and I am still craving a repeat! My work friend enjoyed her breakfast as well, and after we were done we even managed to plug into their wi-fi and get a few minutes of post-event tasks done before I headed to the airport. Stopped in for a quick bite at the Bradford House before heading to the airport. I ordered the Bradford House Breakfast which included two scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, country white toast, and a side of jam. I also added salmon for extra protein. Let's start with the good. The breakfast platter definitely hit the spot. The eggs were softly scrambled, the bacon was perfectly crispy, and the potatoes were well seasoned and tender. The jam was house made and it was delicious. Now, the salmon... unfortunately, that was a letdown. I could tell it was overcooked before the first bite. If only I had some grits. Stayed for a few nights on a business trip. There were a couple things slightly off in the room to start but they quickly fixed them. The bathrobe and bed were super comfortable. The hotel bar was great and the bartenders were super friendly. Real old fashioned keys were a fun touch. Be aware there are no elevators and I couldn't find the ramp when I arrived at almost 11pm so I had to hall a suitcase with 14 days clothes up the stairs to the front desk. They did have someone to bring my bag to my room which was good cause we had to go down a flight and then up two half flights. I didn't get a chance to try the bakery (my room came with a couple for a free pastry each day) because it opened after I had to be at my clients each day but it looked good! We had a fantastic dinner here. The entire place is decorated beautifully. We started with a few cocktails and the French onion dip with house made chips. Delicious. We then moved onto the steak frites and cheeseburger, both with truffle fries. Cooked perfectly, and huge portions. We were given a complimentary donut for a birthday dessert, which was made in-house at their bakery. The menu is small, but there are tons of options. I do wish the menu was broken up a little so it's easier to differentiate small bites from entrees. Besides that tiny little nitpick, everything was perfect. I've driven past this place so many times and never realized it was a B&B/restaurant until a friend mentioned it. A lot of my friends have been wanting to try it for brunch for a while and this weekend, and my friend finally snagged one for us. The space itself is adorable, with a charming Southern vibe. I loved the aesthetics and the cozy atmosphere. As for the food, I really enjoyed the egg, sausage, breakfast potaotoes and toast platter I ordered. The café miel and chai were both pretty good! The only downside during our visit was the service. Our server came across as a bit curt, especially regarding the seating assignments. When the food arrived, there was confusion about who ordered what, despite the seating being so strictly assigned. Similarly, when it was time for the checks, the wrong ones were handed out. While these things didn't ruin the experience, I do hope the service improves to match the quality of the food and the lovely setting. read more

Super cute place we stopped at for breakfast. It very very slow around noon on a weekday. They said many of their good pastry items were already gone so will have to come back earlier and try. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any question about menu items. I thought my egg and bacon sandwich was fine. The bacon was very good but not much of it. Eggs Benedict was wonderful. This small hotel is a gem. I have driven by it on past visits and this time decided I had to stay there. It has a very personal feel at check in, and the decor in the rooms leans towards mid century modern. Staff walk you to your room upon check in, and the rooms have physical keys instead of key cards! A guest can tell that they pay close attention to every detail. The Quincy bake shop is located in the main building and provides easy access to yummy goods and fresh coffee. Be aware, there are no coffee machines or mini fridges in the room. The rooms have smart tvs with very few included channels but plenty of streaming services that a guest can log in to. Went there with the ladies for a bachelorette brunch. The service and food were excellent. I recommend the eggs Benedict and mimosas.

The was a glorified motel. The room decor is extremely cheap! I can't believe we spent $290 for this place. We did the board and breakfast. The bed was at least comfortable. The brunch is extremely overpriced. The portions are very small. I would recommend the vanilla donut and the breakfast sausage sandwich. They said the orange juice is freshly squeezed. It is not. You can tell they don't actually squeeze it themselves. We got the monkey bread and it had fruit in it. Wished the labeled the monkey bread saying Fruit Monkey Bread or we wouldn't have gotten it. Think it normally comes with a little salad but waitress offered change. Fries were really good. Sandwich was just ok. Not sure but just lacking something. Wish more would add a few golden raisens along with grapes and nuts. Daughter had hamburger that was good. Alittle messy from sauce but good. We had a flavored tea which showed 1 free refill. It's been a long time coming but I finally ventured out of my usual brunch spots and tried Bradford House with 2 friends. This place is super cute. Beautifully interior decorated with lots of floral accents, pinks, and turquoise blue. I love the black and white old. We had reservations for the three of us for Sunday at 9:45 AM. I was able to book on OpenTable easily. There was plenty of nearby street parking, but the house also has it's own parking lot, which was already full by the time we arrived. We were sat at a table in one of the rooms close to where the baked goods were being prepared. Our waitress was very friendly and told us we could ask for any of the pastries that they were selling and she would bring them out to us along with our food so we wouldn't have to wait in line. Food: *Eggs Benedict* - both of my friends ordered this, they loved it so much! The eggs looked so fresh and all ingredients tasty. *Yogurt, Granola & Fruit Bowl* The fruit was fresh, and granola was homemade, and the yogurt had a vanilla flavor and was very creamy and delicious. This went perfectly with the side of quiche. *Quiche A La Carte* I ordered a slice of the quiche to go along with my fruit and yogurt bowl. The quiche of the day was a spinach, cheese, and mushroom quiche. Very flavorful and tasty! *Pastries* We each ordered different pastries and shared - Cinnamon Roll - Everything Danish, and Lemon Blueberry Scone. These were all so soft, warm and delicious. My friends ordered more pastries to take home to their family. No bad things to say, we loved them all! We took pictures in different rooms at the house, everything was so pretty and unique. Love this at first sight! We had brunch and the service and food were over the top!! I'm so looking forward to going back. We had the salmon gf sourdough toast with capers, cup of butternut squash soup and a breakfast sandwich with candied bacon. John, our server, was on point! We had the ice peach tea and the hot black tea, which were both delicious. Portion sizes are wonderful! I did take home half of the salmon toast, since it was very filling. Will order it again! They have gf and vegan options, too! This is definitely a gem in OKC and we just barely skimmed the surface of what they offer. This is bed and breakfast hotel with restaurants in the front. We have 1 main server and 2 other helpers bringing out food and drink. We ordered mushroom soup, which a little bit salty with good flavor. The chicken salad is also good, with great quality croissants. Coffee tastes well with quality beans. Quiche has flavorful with crispy edges. The decoration is nice, they have comfortable chairs and large tables. Our waitress is horrible. No refills on water with a table of 5, just one bottle of water and we filled our initial 4 oz glass ourselves and no more after that. She already asked us to how we want to split our check before we finished our food. Some people at our table have not finished our food yet, she brought the credit card machine and made us pay. She cannot wait to shovel us out of the door. She didn't bother to ask if we want any desserts, I asked if we want desserts how we should get it, she told us just pay for it at the counter. What a cute instagrammable brunch place! Bradford house is an adorable little hotel with the cutest decor and restaurant/cafe/bakery. Came here for a girls brunch and it was everything we were looking for. Simple yummy dishes for brunch. I ordered the latte with caramel since I wanted something a little sweet and it was exactly what I was looking for. For brunch I ordered the Egg Benedict with mortadella. Very yummy! If you're a balanced flavor kind of person - needing crunch, zest and heartiness, this is exactly what you want to order. My friend loved her parfait and quiche. My other friend ordered the Egg Benedict as well because it was so good! We all 3 shared 3 different pastries and out of all 3, I think I loved the everything danish the most. The flavors were just so spot on. More so on the savory side but it was really good. Always get your pastries warm! It definitely helped. Eclectic hotel with bar & restaurant in a neighborhood which seems to be going through major upgrades & growth. Reminds me of other unique places I've been in numerous cities. My niece is living here to attend OCU and comes here often for the chai tea, friendly service and a cool place to just hang out to talk with friends. I've been here once and met with family for a get together around 5 PM on a Friday. We had various hot drinks and desserts. The hot chocolate was legit yummy and rich with chocolate flavor. I had the croissant which was beautiful looking, very crispy outer shell but I would recommend the baker to try to make it an airier croissant as it was fairly dense. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun place in this area to eat or drink. I haven't stayed in the hotel so no opinion about it. read more

I have been looking forward to coming to BH for so long, and never made it. Now that has all changed and I'm SO glad I came. It has to be one of the best decorated business in all of OKC. This is a review for the restaurant service only. Our group came for brunch to celebrate a birthday. While we had no complaints on the food, the service we received was deeply disappointing. Our server started off not introducing herself, then made no eye contact, short tone and had no smile each time she came back to our table. She appeared annoyed and kept calling us "sweetie", while we're 10+ years her senior, which made the whole encounter feel condescending. She made a big deal with the seating arrangement, which we made it easier for her by grouping our orders together at the end, but we still ended up with wrong receipts. Each time she came back to the table, the vibe was off and the whole experience was dampened. Overall, hope you have a better day Sam, and we rather be charged for cake cutting. read more

I got the cafe meil to drink and that was great! It's pretty small though- but still yummy. I'm only ranking this 4/5 stars due to small (and petty lol) stuff. Our high expectations were dashed on the rocks of disappointment. The Bradford House was high on our list after being hyped from friends. I'll start with the service. I watched order after order taken to the wrong tables. Then the wait staff would return the order to the kitchen while they puzzled out where it was actually going. This happened three different times that I observed. Three of our party got their meals promptly but the last two meals arrived after everyone else had finished. The potato soup was as actually bean soup with almost no potatoes it it, and the beans were grossly under cooked. Don't get me wrong there were positive comments about some of the dishes. One of our party raved about how good her salad was. Someone ordered a fish sandwich and it came out over cooked. Overall it was a less than wonderful experience. We would like to give them another chance & will return at a future date. read more

Our stay at the Bradford House was mediocre at best. We travel to Oklahoma City quite frequently and have stayed at a few different hotels. This hotel was the worst hotel stay we have encountered by far. The hotel was not in a very prime location to any surrounding things. Our room was located on the bottom level near the street, very thin walls, so traffic noise was very loud along with surrounding hotel noises. Walking into our room, the carpet was extremely stained and disgusting. We killed some kind of beetle on the wall (I don't even want to know what it was). The bed had the most uncomfortable mattress, we did not get a good night's sleep, which unfortunately having a 2 night stay made it almost unbearable. I went to the front desk early the first morning to see if we could change rooms, maybe get a couple more comforters to try to make the bed more comfortable. The front desk clerk told us there were no extra comforters available (assuming others were tying to make their beds comfortable). He took all the issues down and told me he would give the info to the manager when he or she came in. There were no coffee pots in the room, so my husband went to the lobby thinking they would offer coffee there. Several of the staff saw him looking around but not one asked him if he needed any help. No complimentary coffee available, so he went into the Cafe and ordered 2 black coffees and since he did not bring his wallet anticipating complimentary coffee to be available like most hotels offer, he asked to have it charged to our room. The staff could not seem to figure out how to do this, so they gave the coffee to him at no charge. He asked for cream and this seemed to be a request that really put them out. The free coffee was a nice gesture, but we were charged for it at check out. We were out all day and absolutely no one called us to address any of our concerns. We stopped by the front desk when we came back to the hotel and explained to them again the issues with our room. Staff members seemed disengaged and disinterested in their guests, and just stood there looking at me, and again, seemed put out with what I was saying and were looking past me. They gave a half-hearted apology and told me the manager would call me. No manage called. I did receive a call while we were at dinner, and the front desk person left a message stating she was sorry. She said that I should receive a call from the manager, but in the meantime, they would comp our coffee and some pastries for the morning and to stop by the front desk to let them know what we wanted. We did so when we returned to the hotel. The front desk clerk seemed to know the situation and started asking if we wanted a French press pot, some pastries, and offered yogurt parfaits. We told him that sounded great. My husband went to the Cafe in the morning to pick up their generous offer of breakfast only to be met with them trying to charge us for the offered french press and yogurts. They were only offering the basics. This is completely ridiculous!! My husband asked to speak to someone, and the manager gave us what was offered by the desk clerk, granted this was not an easy process. The service was underwhelming, leaving the overall experience feeling impersonal. 2 days staying at this hotel, checked out and still no call to address any of this. We will definitely not be back. With so many better hotels in Oklahoma City, do not waste your money on this property. read more
