Came here with a large group and although it was confusing at first, as most of staff seemed pretty new we figured it out pretty quickly and really enjoyed our time here. We've heard about Chicken N Pickle for a while, but since we live in California, this was our first time visiting one in person. We had seen pictures before, but honestly, the experience was even better than we imagined. Chicken N Pickle is beautiful. My husband loves playing and coaching pickleball in California, so this stop felt especially perfect for us. Facility - This place is huge, and pictures truly do not do it justice. It's very family-friendly, with something for every age, and it seems like a perfect place for parties and gatherings. Restroom - One of my biggest pet peeves when eating out is the restroom, and theirs was so clean and smelled amazing. Great job. Food - We tried the burger and the cilantro lime chicken over rice, and both were delicious. Definitely worth trying. The churro dessert was also so good. Staff - The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'm so sorry I forgot the name of the lady who helped us last night, but she was amazing--so kind, sweet, and attentive. I also want to give a special shoutout to Shawn, the Assistant General Manager, who truly embodied the mission of fostering community, friendship, and fun. Even in our brief interaction, his love for his job and commitment to the company were so clear. You can tell he genuinely lives out what Chicken N Pickle is all about. Also, shoutout to Macie--she was incredibly hardworking, constantly cleaning and helping others, all with a smile. She carried herself with such integrity and dedication, and it really stood out. Pickleball - The indoor and outdoor pickleball courts were beautiful. Just one suggestion: during open play, it may be more fair to use a paddle rack system. My husband was able to play a lot, which we appreciated, but we also noticed that some players seemed to get pushed aside and did not always get their two games before being rotated out. A paddle system could help make open play feel more organized and fair for everyone. We truly enjoyed our visit and are so glad we stopped by. The food was just okay, I wasn't very satisfied with what I got but it wasn't necessarily bad the fries and the wings were the best thing I tried though. The service was good we had a big party so our server visited us regularly and we always had drinks filled, one complaint though when we called to reserve tables we tried to reserve a pickle ball court to play on but the person on the phone said they were all full even though when we got there we ended up getting a court that could've been due to a cancellation or something though. As grandparents, there's nothing better than seeing our grandchildren excited to learn something new, and Kanyon the pickleball manager/ pro has made that happen. Working with our grandchildren, ages 8, 6 1/2, and 4, he has shown incredible patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. This was there first lesson while they are visiting us. He has a special gift for meeting each child where they are, keeping them engaged, and building their confidence while teaching pickleball skills. The lesson was fun, positive, and encouraging. Our grandchildren already asked their mom and dad to arrange pickleball lessons setup for when they get back home to Georgia. We are grateful for the time and care he invests in our grandchildren and highly recommend him to families looking for an outstanding instructor and role model. Everyone goes to Chicken and Pickle to play pickleball let's just get that straight, however there is the occasion that some might go to have some food. The fried pickles were probably the best thing there. It was crunchy with every bite, and on top of that the ranch really complimented the pickles perfectly. Now for the chicken, it was alright. Very dry at certain parts of it like the breast. The thighs were nice and moist however. The cooking was pretty uneven. Just stick with the fried pickles and just the chicken thighs and you will be good to go. With the chicken, came some tortillas but they were burnt and dried out. Could not eat any of it. In December, we did the igloo experience. It included eight guests. I thought we were supposed to get a charcuterie board, but we didn't. It was the end of December so they were out of a lot of the Christmas drinks. Some of the decor in the igloo was broken, not very appealing for the first time going there. Their service was OK and just took them forever to come back... the drinks are strong so a little worth it. The food was weird. We order like four different appetizers. We love Chicken N Pickle! You don't have to like pickleball to come here. It's a large facility with lots of self serve comfortable seating available. I personally love the holiday hideaway upstairs. The holiday drinks are so much better than their regular cocktails. You can only be served these special holiday beverages upstairs at the holiday hideaway. Holiday drinks are not available downstairs or in the indoor courts. The food here is pretty good. I love their fried pickles so delicious! Their chicken Cobb salad is pretty fire as well as their guacamole and chips. I'd steer away from the chicken tostadas though, those weren't edible for me, and my other friend agreed. Service has always been prompt and friendly. I brought my son and my friend brought her kids, and they had a blast exploring and playing pickleball. We went this Saturday for family time I never complained in my life on someone but this time I had to !!!we were having family time my daughter spilt a drink so my 10 year old asked for a broom and the young lady threw it at her! We were ll very upset . Also the front counter ladies are very rude for some reason . Mostly the blonde that wears bows on her head. We didn't not let that stop us from having a good time. The food is good and the place is always packed with families and the vibes outside are fun. Preface: We have been here numerous times and have eaten once. I remembered we didn't care for the food we had then. Decided to try it again. Bar service is good. Drinks are served in appropriate glassware, flavors are blended well, and the beer is cold. I wish they had glass pint glasses in the bar because plastic doesn't keep a pint cold. As for the food we ordered, it came out very quickly. We ordered a Hot chicken sandwich and Mexican corn along with wings. The wings were hot, but had too much of a "smoke" flavor that overpowered the jerk flavor we requested. They were hot and crispy, but not moist or tender. The$13 hot chicken sandwich was dry and flavorless. Even the small amount of hot sauce on the crispy chicken wasn't enough to help with the dry chicken. I asked for some mayo, and that didn't help either. The bun broke apart into my first bite, and it didn't taste fresh. We asked for salt & pepper and were given little "to-go packets". Not what I expect in a restaurant; a fast food drive-thru, but not a "sit-down at a bar to eat" place. (That may be a corporate SOP). The Mexican corn was awful. It tasted as if it had been sitting on a steam table in water for days. The kernels were mushy, still had corn silk on it, and it was barely lukewarm; even the toppings didn't help the mushy kernels. I told the bartender, and she had the corn removed from my bill. Left all of the wings( aside from two bites), 3/4 of my sandwich, and vowed we will not eat there again. With a place called Chicken N Pickle, I would assume they know how to make great chicken offerings. Maybe they should try brining their chicken? Popeye's Chicken sandwich is 100 times better and less than 1/2 the price. read more
