However, when I reached out to Campanola from Georgia to make arrangements to transport my father's body back to Philadelphia Andrew could have not been more comforting in his words and coordinated the transportation of my dads body with the funeral home in Georgia with ease and great care which was comforting for my family. By the time I arrived to Philadelphia Andrew had taken care of everything and had all the information I needed to complete funeral arrangements. I will forever be grateful that Andrew went above and beyond to secure the military honor guard from New Jersey for dad as no one was available in Philadelphia. I was impressed with them obituary and prayer cards provided at the service which truly embodied who my dad was. In addition, the cost of the services were reasonable for which our family was grateful about given the additional cost of transporting the body and traveling from Georgia to Philadelphia were dad wanted to be buried. The room was nicely laid out, the mother looked wonderful, and the staff were very low key and with white glove service, they made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. Come early. I came in from Jersey and came in about 30 minutes earlier than planned to search for a parking spot in this neighborhood. I'm glad I did, and found one about 3 blocks away after circling for a bit.

Deeply Disappointed - Unprofessional and Misleading Experience…read more Donahue Funeral Home was hired with handling the services and honoring a dear friend and loved one, and the experience was nothing short of appalling. We had a beautiful, custom-designed flower arrangement created specifically for the service. Not only did they fail to bring it to the church, but when we asked about it, they lied--claiming the church only allows a certain number of flowers. When we sought clarification, they admitted that wasn't true and instead said there was a "limit on flower transportation." Is this something families are ever told? We spent money on something that never made it to the service--money that could have gone to charity. To make matters worse, the funeral director was confrontational and astonishingly unprofessional. In the middle of this sensitive moment, he said, "I know the deceased very well--I just bought his house." How distasteful and inappropriate can you get? This experience was disrespectful, misleading, and completely unacceptable. If you value honesty, professionalism, and dignity for your loved one, look elsewhere.

Glad & good to know PC is NOT one of them. The staff here were nice, attentive, & quietly diligent behind the scenes. They honored a strange family request & dealt w my good friend's j.o. "husband" appropriately. I think a woman runs the business. Nice and personable. The service moved along in a timely manner. Professionalism and courteous all the way around, plus a nice, clean funeral home with classy (not overdone) decor.

It is family owned and has been for generations. The staff are friendly, helpful, respectful and will meet whatever needs you have. The clergy they use meet any denominational requirement. They are only slightly more expensive than other funeral homes in the area. They also have payment plans and can help you find other sources of payment, like Social Security and other services. They are great at what they do.
