Nobody ever wants to go to a memorial service, but when it's your time to go, you can just hope that your passing will be one that is memorialized in a lovely and kind and respectful manner. Such was the case recently when a friend of ours held a beautiful service for her mother here. The building and decor is low key and modern, clean, and non-denominational. We especially loved the complimentary "thank you" provided by the home - forget me not seeds to plant in honor of the loved one. How absolutely wonderful. This was not my first funeral, but it was my first funeral that I along with my two daughters had to plan Mt. Laurel home for funerals was more than helpful. Jen, who was our advisor, went over and above what I thought was her responsibility as far as making the day run smoothly she basically did everything for us, including help us with the flowers, a video montage that we had up there with the music right down to what would happen at the cemetery I hope I never have to plan anything like this again but if I do, I definitely would use Mt. Laurel home for funerals took all the stress out of it and made us feel so welcomed ! It was a military funeral so there's a lot more details involved and they just helped everything go by smoothly. I never thought I would ever leave a review for a Funeral Home but our family selected Mount Laurel Home for Funerals to handle a simple cremation and they were outstanding. They guided us through every step during the process. Never once did they try and up sell anything and were respectful and patient as we had many questions, concerns etc. Although we did not use their facilities it is very nice and I have been there in the past for other services. At the absolute worst time of my life, Jenn and all of the staff at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals were very helpful and supportive to me and our family. The building/ all rooms were modern/pretty, bright, clean, a large space to accommodate all the many people who came to visit/pay respects to my wonderful husband and our family. They offered tv screens, easels and plenty of space to display photos and items that represented my husband's life and accomplishments. I had no idea what to do or how to plan and Jenn walked us through all steps of the process for the visitation and assisted us with contacting the florist, church and facilitating the church plans. I have used Mount Laurel Home for Funerals for memorial services for both of my late wives. The environment is spacious, light and uplifting, with a bright chapel and accommodations for providing a meal for those who attend the services. Their staff is more like family than business people or gloom & doom funeral directors. They are supportive, and cannot do enough for you. They will arrange and rearrange the chapel as needs unfold. They attend to as many other details as you request. We had 50 people attend, so they moved the luncheon to a larger room than the one that accommodates 20 people. They will order the food for you, and set it up. Having a luncheon on premises makes things so much easier for both the bereaved and the guests. By my own choice, I stopped into their office after the services. They offered to run out and buy me some lunch if everyone finished the food before I got to the dining room. (That was not necessary, but it is an example of how they go out of their way to accommodate your every need). As people arrived, there was a repeating slide show of my photos and videos on a large monitor on the wall in the lobby, and on one in the chapel. For those friends and family who were unable to attend, the service and the slide show was live-streamed (twelve people watched it remotely). The photos and service were recorded, and are available online for people to watch, for as long as I want it to be there. read more

We held a memorial tribute for my father on October 2, 2021 at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals.  David and his staff provided exceptional service to honor an exceptional man.  We could not be more pleased. Many people who attended the service told me the tribute was outstanding!  The quality of the environment, comfort, and attentive service by David and his staff is comparable to that of a fine hotel.  The memorial service was well timed and co-ordinated with selected music and a military honors ceremony in which several people commented it was "especially touching", and "we really got to know Leonard'!  The luncheon that followed in the dining room reminded us of a festive holiday gathering with folks chattering and enjoying each other's company over good food and video reflecting his life and accomplishments. I would highly recommend Mount Laurel Home for Funerals. It is a funeral home that will treat you and your family with compassion and kindness at one of the saddest and most vulnerable times of your life. My beloved father passed away unexpectedly in June and Joe was professional, kind and comforting when he met with us. He handled all the arrangements for my father with dignity and respect. Due to the pandemic, we didn't have my father's funeral Mass and internment until October. Sadly, my dear mother passed away unexpectedly six weeks after my father's funeral. Again, Joe was there for my family (he came in on his day off to meet with us) as we planned my mother's funeral so soon after my father's. They guided us through those first few days when things are surreal and you feel like you are just going through the motions. They were patient with us when after the initial shock wore off we may have taken some extra time in making some decisions. My mom passed away about 10 weeks ago and it was not expected. She had told me that she wanted Mount Laurel Home for Funerals to handle the services. I'm glad she chose them. David and his staff were wonderful. The pricing was reasonable and there was no attempt to up-sell. In fact, quite the opposite. The facility is beautiful and my mom's visitation was handled with great professionalism and dignity. Burying a parent is one of the hardest things we'll ever have to do. From the time I started pre-planning my mother's funeral with the help of Joe all the way through to the day of the funeral everyone was so kind, helpful and caring. I was unable to see my mom for 3 months due to Covid. They made it possible for me to sit with her and talk with her. That time was so needed and meaningful it is impossible to put into words. When the time came that my father passed we had planned on using a different funeral home. The places had closed unbeknownst to me. So last minute search I found this place. When my mother in law passed, it was a hard and traumatic experience for my family. We called several funeral homes who either did not pick up the phone or did not return our calls. Kate was our initial contact and she took care of us right away, made us feel at ease that everything was going to be taken care of. The director, David Petaccio, is helpful, warm, gracious, and professional, always going the extra mile for people who come to him. His staff is very courteous. I can only suppose that an extremely large funeral must have been involved, because the parking lot is quite ample. I am absolutely DISGUSTED with the service I received from the owner at Mount Laurel Home for Funerals. It was scorching hot inside the room, and I asked the owner politely if he could turn up the air conditioning for fear that people would pass out from the excessive heat. The owner replied (pointing his finger in my face), "Don't you DARE try to tell me how to run my business!" I was absolutely APPALLED with this comment, especially due to the fact that I was there to grieve the loss of someone very special. Please do not give this place anymore business. The staff is coldhearted and downright disrespectful, and I left the viewing feeling sick to my stomach. When I called and visited them they were very friendly and courtesy. They informed me everything that we need to know including how Medicare works to pay for funeral expenses etc. They even give us casket that no funeral home would offer.
