    Tree damage
    Thomas P.

During recent wind / rain storm Had 65 plus foot hickory tree fall across house extensively damaging roof , structure , skylights , deck etc. Also large branch from another tree in front yard pulled down power lines and fell across driveway. Call Bradley Tree Service and owner came out within an hour, assessed damage and had his team on site within another hour to remove tree , cover skylights and patch roof sections to mitigate further damage due to pending rain storm. Next day they came back cleaned up yard , removed remaining debris etc.I've had a considerable experience with Tree companies and hands down these folks are the best for customer service and professional workmanship. Highly recommend Mike Bradley and his company -they are my "go to " company for any future tree work.

Wood delivered and we stacked it ourselves!

I'm supposed to give a long narrative about my experience with Bradley Tree Experts. I can only come up with one word. Garbage.

This was a really, really good experience…read more I noticed that a tree was uprooted and had a real concern that it would fall on a busy street. I reached out to a few companies. Sven was the first to respond. He offered to come out immediately after normal work hours for a free quote. He thoroughly inspected the tree and assured me that it wasn't in imminent danger of falling over. That night he sent over a quote that was substantially lower than I had feared it would. He scheduled the job for the weekend, showed up on time, and just worked solidly until the job was done. Pretty much a flawless transaction. We'll use him again for sure.

We first contacted Tree Lion through Yelp after a tree fell and affected multiple neighboring…read moreproperties. Initially, they indicated they could come out on Saturday, July 4, but the estimate was ultimately confirmed for Sunday, July 5, between 11:00 am & 12:00 p.m. I was coordinating the appointment on behalf of a loved one. Because the property owner doesn't live at the affected house, they traveled from another part of the city and rearranged their schedule specifically to meet the estimator. We also learned that the neighboring property we initially believed the tree had fallen from is vacant, making it even more important to determine responsibility and move the process forward. Unfortunately, no one arrived for the scheduled appointment, and there was no phone call, text, or Yelp message to let us know they were running late or needed to reschedule. We understand that delays and emergencies happen, but a simple courtesy message would have been appreciated. The lack of communication wasted people's time and delayed addressing a situation affecting multiple properties. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend a company that confirms an appointment and then fails to show up or communicate with the customer.

We signed Dougherty up last year to remove the leaves from our small property (a job which took…read moretheir crew about an hour and for which they charged $250 per visit). The agreement was that they would come twice: mid-October and end of season. Last year they came over two weeks late for the first visit (various excuses). But since the work itself was O.K., we gave them another try. We emailed them in September, asking them to come on the same schedule. When mid-October came and went, we emailed a reminder to them, and (without explanation for the delay) they promised to come October 27th at 8:00 a.m. They didn't show up, and when we hadn't heard anything from them by 9:45, we called them. The scheduler (the owner's wife, we believe) was defensive and argumentative and only apologized for the "confusion." When we asked what "confusion," she said there was a problem with a crew and therefore we would be pushed back until the following week. We protested, angrily, that this had also happened last year, and that we felt this was poor service, particularly since they hadn't called to explain the no-show. At this point the scheduler said that if we didn't like it we could just get someone else (not easy to do at the last minute during "high season"). Finally she said they could send someone out the following Monday. We agreed, but expressed some concern about a prediction of heavy rain for Sunday and Monday morning. Four minutes later the receptionist called back, said they didn't like our tone, and announced they wouldn't come at all. Who needs this? We're senior citizens, but we're doing the work ourselves now. Both of us used to work with the public and would have been fired if we had dealt with clients the way they dealt with us. Apparently, Dougherty's philosophy is that no one can complain about poor service to them, even if the complaints are justified. Avoid.
