    Tree damage
    Thomas P.

During recent wind / rain storm Had 65 plus foot hickory tree fall across house extensively damaging roof , structure , skylights , deck etc. Also large branch from another tree in front yard pulled down power lines and fell across driveway. Call Bradley Tree Service and owner came out within an hour, assessed damage and had his team on site within another hour to remove tree , cover skylights and patch roof sections to mitigate further damage due to pending rain storm. Next day they came back cleaned up yard , removed remaining debris etc.I've had a considerable experience with Tree companies and hands down these folks are the best for customer service and professional workmanship. Highly recommend Mike Bradley and his company -they are my "go to " company for any future tree work.

Wood delivered and we stacked it ourselves!

I'm supposed to give a long narrative about my experience with Bradley Tree Experts. I can only come up with one word. Garbage.

Five stars for Santos Tree Services! Over the past 25 years, I've had several arborists come to…read moretrim or even remove a tree. But recently, I'm hearing from the 'big tree' companies, "Sorry, we don't service Center City anymore". So thank God for small businesses like Santos! He responded to my text within hours, came and looked at the tree the next day, and gave me an estimate on the spot. Based on past experience, I really was expecting the estimate to be twice what he offered (which I would have regrettably declined). But I feel his price was fair and reasonable, especially for today's predatory pricing climate. In our brief interaction, I found him to be a model of what the old fashioned 'small business' owner is supposed to be: responsive, professional, experienced, grateful for your business, and dedicated to delivering what you need. Estimate accepted on the spot, Santos showed up three days later as we arranged. It was just himself and a young helper with a pickup truck living the American Dream with not even a ladder on the truck. I thought, "Oh no, did I make a terrible mistake?" But no mistake! Like a professional mountain climber with ropes and pulleys, he scaled the tree while making it look effortless. My yard in Queen Village is close quarters, full of smaller trees and planted pots and a pergola, close to the neighbor's house and power lines. Regardless, within a few hours they extracted several LARGE branches (plus LOTS of smaller ones) and lowered them with ropes and pulleys in a very controlled manner. Only one tiny little branch from the top of a nearby Japanese maple was snapped off. Over all, a miracle! Thanks, Santos Tree Services!

They didn't use a cherry picker- his guys climbed up and started pruning- incredible. He quoted me a fair price and the deal was done. They came at stated time & cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend them!

We signed Dougherty up last year to remove the leaves from our small property (a job which took…read moretheir crew about an hour and for which they charged $250 per visit). The agreement was that they would come twice: mid-October and end of season. Last year they came over two weeks late for the first visit (various excuses). But since the work itself was O.K., we gave them another try. We emailed them in September, asking them to come on the same schedule. When mid-October came and went, we emailed a reminder to them, and (without explanation for the delay) they promised to come October 27th at 8:00 a.m. They didn't show up, and when we hadn't heard anything from them by 9:45, we called them. The scheduler (the owner's wife, we believe) was defensive and argumentative and only apologized for the "confusion." When we asked what "confusion," she said there was a problem with a crew and therefore we would be pushed back until the following week. We protested, angrily, that this had also happened last year, and that we felt this was poor service, particularly since they hadn't called to explain the no-show. At this point the scheduler said that if we didn't like it we could just get someone else (not easy to do at the last minute during "high season"). Finally she said they could send someone out the following Monday. We agreed, but expressed some concern about a prediction of heavy rain for Sunday and Monday morning. Four minutes later the receptionist called back, said they didn't like our tone, and announced they wouldn't come at all. Who needs this? We're senior citizens, but we're doing the work ourselves now. Both of us used to work with the public and would have been fired if we had dealt with clients the way they dealt with us. Apparently, Dougherty's philosophy is that no one can complain about poor service to them, even if the complaints are justified. Avoid.
