The work was sloppy and design was terrible. Look at the flowers planted directly at the edge of the driveway. Took 1 day for the delivery trucks to run these over. Additionally look at all the empty the bed looks. I will and would tell every person I know to NOT use this company. Earlier this year they charged me $1,500 for 1.5 hrs of fall cleanup.

The guys at Keystone have been WONDERFUL - both on a personal and professional level…read more 3 years ago we bought a house that had a front yard that was about 10% grass, 20% dirt and 70% weeds. We asked keystone (along with several other landscape contractors) to come out and give us some recommendations as to how best to fix things. In keeping with our budget they suggested (and ultimately wound up) killing everything and seeding a new lawn without completing tilling up the soil or laying down expensive new topsoil. They took a risk by doing this in the later spring (when we contacted them) and the first pass ultimately failed due to the unseasonably hot weather we had that year - very little grass growth (but no weeds). In the fall, they came back, repeated the process for no charge and offered us a discount on future services due to the amount we spent on water trying to get the grass to grow in the summer. The lawn flourished that fall and into the next year - we now have an AMAZING front yard. We have maintained an annual contract with them to continue servicing the lawn to make sure it stays the way it is now (which is WONDERFUL). We also had them plant a Cherry Tree (based on Travis' recommendation) and a line of Service Berry trees along the post and rail fence of our driveway. Another testament to their commitment - 2 of the service berry trees were having some issues, they came out - identified the problem (an insect infestation) applied the appropriate treatment and gave us guidelines as to how to care for them immediately and in the future. All of the Service Berries are thriving now and look beautiful (and my daughter loves eating the berries off the trees - as do I). Keystone takes a friendly, consultative and long term approach to developing solutions that have exceeded our expectations and helped us stay within our budget. I was on my way to work early Monday morning when I got a call from Tom. He had already been to the house and gave me a quote over the phone. The price was right so I said sure, let's do it. Tom said they were doing another job close by so there was a chance they would get to me that day. I got home from work and everything was done. They did a great job on the trimming, cleaned everything up, and even got rid of some other branches I had in the yard. Quality work, great price, and fast to respond. Top notch company. I am submitting this complaint regarding what I believe were deceptive, coercive, and retaliatory…read morebusiness practices by a tree removal company. I contracted with the company to perform tree removal services at my residence and paid $5,000 for the project. The crew arrived at approximately 8:30 a.m. and departed around 3:30 p.m. After inspecting the property, I discovered that a portion of the agreed-upon work remained unfinished. Based on the scope of the remaining work, it appeared that less than one additional hour of labor by a single worker would have completed the job. The following day, I contacted the company and requested that they return to finish the work for which I had already paid. Rather than honoring what I believed to be their contractual obligation, I was informed that the company would not return unless I paid additional money. In effect, I was asked to pay more in order to receive services that should have been completed under the original agreement. What should have been a routine customer-service matter quickly escalated into a campaign of intimidation. When I disputed the demand for additional payment and continued to request completion of the work, the company's manager threatened legal action against me. Instead of attempting to resolve the dispute professionally, company representatives resorted to personal attacks and accusations unrelated to the services provided. Most troubling, I received written threats that the company would contact my employer and my husband's employer in an effort to "expose" me as a racist. These threats were made despite the fact that I had not published any review, made any public statements, or otherwise damaged the company's reputation. At the time the threats were issued, I had merely stated that I was considering leaving a review regarding my experience. The company's conduct appeared designed to silence a dissatisfied customer through fear, intimidation, and threats of professional harm. Threatening to interfere with a customer's employment because that customer requested completion of contracted work is wholly inappropriate and, in my view, constitutes retaliatory conduct intended to suppress legitimate consumer complaints. Rather than addressing concerns regarding incomplete work, the company responded with threats of litigation, threats to contact employers, accusations of racism, and warnings that their legal team would pursue claims against me. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed by the Federal Trade Commission to determine whether the company's conduct constitutes unfair or deceptive business practices, consumer intimidation, or retaliation against a customer attempting to resolve a dispute regarding incomplete services. I have retained documentation of the relevant communications, including the written threats referenced above, and am prepared to provide them upon request.

I scheduled an estimate with Arader Tree service on 8/20 for 9/10. Three weeks out was the best…read morethey could do, and fine, it's a busy season for arborists. The appointment on 9/10 comes and goes and no one shows up. After an hour of waiting-- I've made plans to work from home and be available for when this is scheduled-- I call their office to see what the delay is. I'm told that due to staffing changes, this appointment has fallen through the cracks, but they'll arrange to send someone out. No one comes and I receive no call. When I call again at the close of business, I'm told that no one with the authority to reschedule is available and they will call me the next day with a new appointment time.  This dance continues over the course of the following week, over which period I call no less than five times. Several times I am promised a return call from Chris Arader himself, which never happens. I even call at a time I am assured he will be in the office, and when I do, he is not.  What the heck? This sort of behavior, while not uncommon, is tedious and unprofessional. It's particularly frustrating in this situation given the limited season (optimally) for tree pruning. I contacted Arader based on a recommendation as I was very disappointed.

I was informed about the process, the cost and consulted about options on the way. Communication among the people at Arader and with me was excellent. I was told by John how to care for the tree going forward. The tree is in a back yard which made removal of debris difficult. It was a total pleasure and my property was left cleaner than they found it and nothing was broken. They would definitely be my first choice in the future.
