They left several large chunks of trunk (2 1/2 feet by 4' long) and said their saw chain broke but "don't worry they'll be back". They are still there. The biggest. most damaging problem is that instead of removing the fallen tree, they dumped a huge pile of trunk sections down an embankment at the rear of my property, then hid them with leafy branches. Joe took 3 weeks to return my call, and 2 months to come out and look at the problem. When he came out he said he didn't know what to do, but he'd call a guy. He came out with the guy, but they've never been back. He got sick. He got hurt. He was in rehab. Now, Joe does not seem to have a physical address where he can be reached, as my lawyer has tried. His website lists Elkins Park, but that is for a condo, where he has no connection for many years. There are many more reliable tree cutters than Joe Hughes Executive Branch- try someone else.

When the crew left, my driveway had sustained damage that was not there before they arrived. There is a burned section where the asphalt has been damaged down to the underlying stone, along with three large fluid stains that appear to be oil or another automotive fluid. I have security camera footage showing the condition of my driveway before the crew arrived and after they left. I immediately attempted to contact the company to report the damage and request that someone contact me regarding repairs. When I was unable to reach anyone, I documented the damage with the New Jersey State Police, who advised that the matter appears to be civil in nature and generated a property damage report. What concerns me most isn't just the damage itself--equipment can fail and accidents happen. It's how the situation has been handled. Property damage should be acknowledged promptly, and customers and neighboring property owners deserve communication and accountability. If you are considering using this company, I strongly recommend discussing in advance how they will protect driveways and other surfaces from heavy equipment and what their process is if damage occurs. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them.

Unlike many in the business, they throw down big mats on your lawn, so their tracked equipment doesn't chew up your grass. They seem to have a unique four-legged pruning platform that travels on treads and can fit in the narrowest of openings --- "I just need three feet [of width]!" their foreman told me --- and it can rise 100'. This equipment leaves an even smaller footprint on your property, unlike a heavy boom truck. Their people are considerate of shaping your trees when pruning, not just hacking. I also had them take out trees and grind the stumps, all done very nicely. Cleanup was commendable. And from the front office to the crews, they are courteous.

If you are in need of tree work, take a look around at most of the "big" named companies, and you will find quite a few bad reviews, and believe me, I checked. We had quite a few trees to take out, and one topped, most of which were either over a neighbor's house, or over our pool, fig tree, and other neighbors house, making the removal far more complicated than normal. I called, and one of the owners (brothers) came out the same day, and gave a very fair estimate. Made a deposit, and scheduled the work appointment. The day of the work they showed up on time with an entire crew, multiple heavy equipment, bobcats, 5 ton, and a chipper. They meant business. All of the crew were friendly, and took great care of our property. All were in hard hats, glasses, and hi-vis vests, which speaks to how seriously they take the job, and safety. The other owner was the Master tree work tech, and he clearly knew exactly what he was doing, including tying off large feeders/limbs before cutting, so they swung down, as opposed to falling and/or damaging the neighbors houses, our fig tree, or pool. The removed the very large stump and root mass, and cleaned up every square inch of our yards, front and rear, and with the exception of the missing trees, you couldn't even tell they had been there. This included placing heavy mats down over drainage inlets, and other areas in the yard to protect them while they worked. Probably one of the most professional aspects of the crew, is that they clearly knew what they were doing, and it appeared as if they have been doing it together, for quite a while. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and now that we have witnessed their work, and professionalism first hand, will make sure to pass them on to anyone who needs quality tree work done.

Golden Tree came out today to remove some trees and do some general cleanup of some bushes around…read moremy yard. They showed up when they said they would, they had a crew of six show up and they knocked out all of the work in just under two hours.. the crew was super friendly and helpful and they did an even better job of the clean up after they did the work! I will always use them for all of my tree/landacaping needs!! I can't recommend them enough!! Also... I got six quotes to do the work - Golden Tree was one of the lowest, and they were able to do the work the quickest!!
