This place is absolutely filled with treasures that could catch the eye of every single aesthetic, hobby, and niche a person could have! The music they play in the background really brings the antique store vibes together. The way I felt like I fully traveled back in time was a whole new level of experience for me personally. There are many different price points on items. Some good. Some maybe if I was in a different tax bracket. But the browsing experience makes up for it all. First off the family who owns the shop is wonderful, friendly and extremely welcoming to all who enter their doors. I found that each day I would walk around and notice some new trinket, glassware or paper ephemera item that I had overlooked the day before. You will surely be greeted by their beautiful golden retrievers during your visit who love all the rubs. They also have another sweet dog named Rose who you will find resting throughout the shop. Since this is an organization that supports animals, there are always lot of adorable pet themed items ( coffee mugs, t shirts, blankets , etc ) and lots of second hand pet items ( beds, toys etc.) Prices in general are fair, with some of the dish sets being a bit higher, but this seems to be common across all charity shops I visit. I spent over $1800 on furniture, $399 for delivery, over $2,200 total. Dottie has ghosted me. She…read morehas stopped opening my Facebook messages and refuses to call me back. I have left messages with a young girl at the store several times, and the young girl tells me she will "see" if Dottie can call me back. In what world does a manager decide if they want to speak with a customer? I have not ONCE gotten to speak to her on the phone. She stopped opening my Facebook messages too. I was very respectful in all interactions, and her Facebook responses (before she stopped opening) were very defensive and passive aggressive. In all messages, I stated that they sent a very nice man and woman to deliver, I had no complaints about them personally, but even the delivery lady knew there was no way they could get that stuff upstairs without at least 2 men, so my boyfriend offered to help--to prevent injury to the nice delivery lady and to prevent damage to my furniture. Based on how this has been handled, I highly doubt Dottie would have reimbursed me if something was damaged during delivery--so I am glad we did offer to help carry things. I can't imagine how it would've gone if my boyfriend happened to be busy or working that day. Either the stuff would've been damaged, people would've gotten injured, or they would've had to turn around and reschedule. The delivery lady felt bad and said something along the lines of "we will help you get nightstands" (I hadn't purchased any yet bc I didn't know if one, two, or any nightstands would fit in my bedroom) and she said maybe someone could meet me halfway with one. I reached out to Dottie to discuss and to see if the help offered by the delivery lady was possible. She responded with attitude and has now ghosted me. I cannot imagine how poorly this place would handle a major disagreement. As you can see, I was very respectful in the messages and was not asking for a refund / compensation, was just asking for some help with what the delivery lady said. I am disappointed in Dottie's response after I spent so much with this business, and with the fact that I now can't find a matching nightstand. I was willing to do business with her, but after this response, Dottie does not deserve my business.
