Can't say enough about the response, work quality and professionalism of this company! After we had 8 trees taken down, we had lots of stumps to grind, some with root systems over 25 feet spreading throughout the front yard. Brad returned my call within a few hours and set an appointment to bid the job. Fortunately for us, he had time that very day to do the job. His bid was incredibly reasonable, and he also included some extra stumps that had been left some years ago. Because his response was so quick, there were several areas where they had to work around the logs left behind and in the way. That seemed to be no problem. They started immediately and worked the job so that I had time to make pathways to all the stumps. There were some tricky situations that took extra care (shallow water pipe from the well), but they took great care and made certain to not go too deep on that one! Being nearly 70 years old, I could not quickly move the rounds away from a mammoth poplar, some with a diameter of over 46", but Walt was able to expertly maneuver their machine around obstacles and got that giant stump ground down. After moving the huge rounds a few weeks later, we found parts of the stump and some large roots that had been buried by the logs and were unreachable. One of the impressive things they said was that if they missed anything, we could call and they would come and get it taken care of, as they guarantee their work. When I called, they responded immediately and were happy to return. They came and ground the rest of the poplar stump and some roots within in 3 days of my phone call. Called Brad together stump removed. He was very helpful and was able to come out that day to take a look at what I needed. Unlike a lot of companies I've been dealing with the last couple years, he gave me bid that was fair and honest. So good, I said, let's do this and he said he could do it right now, and did... Had a few stumps to have ground down, both big and small on some moderately difficult terrain. Brad came out to give a quote, he was on time and professional. He said he could have his crew come out in a few hours to do the job. We agreed on a fair price and his crew arrived about 3 hours later. His crew showed up and got the job done quickly and ground a few of them down deeper than I was expecting. Crew was polite and assured me that if I found a problem that Brad would make it right. Great service at the most reasonable estimate I received. I needed to have a tree removed that had begun to lean far out over street and was also very close to my house. I was really afraid that should it fall over, it would take a hunk of wall with it, leaving my home and water main damaged. The tree is completely gone, no trace of stump left behind. Integrity and professionalism is how I would sum up my experience with Brass Tree and Stump. It started with my call for a bid. Brad said he could come later that week but only during a time we couldn't be home. He suggested he could go anyway and give us a ballpark estimate. He called the day after with a price and we arranged a day the following week when we were home to give him the exact scope of what we wanted and he wrote the contract. We scheduled a day for the work. Work day came and the crew arrived on time with all of their equipment. They worked hard the full day and went beyond our expectations. Each member of the team was respectful of our home and spent as much time cleaning behind themselves as they did cutting. In July we had Brad's Stump and Tree Service remove three large stumps and two smaller ones. Brad came out promptly and gave us a reasonable quote which we accepted. They had a cancellation so they came out right away and completed the work. The crew was friendly and cleaned the sites up well. We had them leave the debris as we wanted to use it for another project. Today, a month and a half later, I called Brad as we wanted to remove more of the roots from one of the stump areas. We wanted to add a new planting bed plus some rockery and the spreading root mass was more than we cared to deal with on our own. They came out the same day and didn't even charge us for all the extra work. Now that's some amazing customer service. Thanks Brad and crew!! I highly recommend them! We had one hemlock broken off 40 feet from the ground, and another larger one that was at risk to do the same soon. Called Brad after hearing from others in the community that he was the top dog in the tree business. He quoted me an extremely generous price compared to two other competitors out of Snohomish County, though he wasn't the rock-bottom lowest. He was one of only 4 services willing to do an estimate, and the only one who offered to do the estimate on-site. The other services have you enter tree data on their websites and offer no human interaction at all. His crew showed up on time, ready to work and were extremely professional and efficient. They cut all trees into stove length pieces for us, shredded all branches into a central mulch pile for our flower beds and ground down some smaller stumps around our yard for free. I rarely give anything but 1 or 5 star ratings. 1 if I would not recommend a company and 5 if I would. I called Brad based on a recommendation by Roger Anderson's Tree Service since he doesn't do stump removal. My neighbor started putting in a fence on our property line and I needed a quick removal. I talked with Brad first thing in the morning. He was at the house by 11 AM with a quote which I feel was very fair and he did it in the next hour. I didn't bother getting a quote from anyone else. I would recommend Brad for stump removal based on the job, his fair quote and great communication. read more
