And this time I brought my car in for an oil change and I had a problem with my car making noise they looked it over but didn't find anything wrong. However they did tell me that I needed tires so I ended up getting my oil change and four tires at a reasonable price better than if I had gone to a Sam's Club or Costco to get tires.They mounted them balanced and did everything they needed to do. I will not be taking my car back to the dealership if I need any work done on my car I will definitely bring it back to Prince Auto . The service was quick they didn't try to upsell me and tell me things are wrong with my car like they do at the dealership to get more money. If you're looking for an honest repairman that's not going to try to get more money from you for car repair and that is reasonable Prince Tire and Auto is your place. Don is the owner and his son works there as well. Give them a chance you won't regret it.

Yesterday I called to inquire about a tire plug/patch as well as an oil change and they were awesome over the telephone. They quoted me a reasonable price, and asked if I could have my vehicle there by 0800, because they can get me in and out fast. In return, due to my work schedule I told the gentleman that I wouldn't be able to make it in until around 0900ish, which he informed me that was fine it just might be a longer wait. They took my name down, and scheduled me. Well, this morning I got off work, and showed up to this place slightly around 0930, walked in, and met with the gentleman at the front desk, checked in, and the gentleman behind the glass in the room, cut my conversation off I was having with the front desk, and told me their booked up now so it will be a while. After being interrupted, I ascertained about the turnaround time, and he told me Monday. Keep in mind, originally it was only going to be a slightly longer wait for being there around 0900, and all I was getting done was a simple tire plug/patch and oil change. So how does one tell me over the phone a slightly longer wait to now a three day turnaround??? Fri-Mon. Needless to say, they didn't want the business, I tried to support a local shop. So I just took my vehicle to GoodYear, and was in and out within an hour. Plus awesome coupons to go with my purchase. Sad, and I wouldn't recommend. Perhaps allowing your front desk staff to do their jobs without you interjecting would've been more understandable.

I sent my wife and daughter both alone to the shop. They didn't try to over sell or provide services that were needed. They communicated well before they did the work so you knew exactly what they were doing and how much it would cost before they started and finished. These last few visits hasn't been that great. This last visit was my last. Took a 2011 vehicle with 150k for a tuneup, transmission flush and to check exhaust and headlights. We had to call them and We were told we needed an O2 sensor, front rotors, rear brakes and something else. Fine. (No price) Had car for 2 days no follow up. We Called on Friday no total provided didn't tell us what was done or not. They finally called back and said what was done with a total of 1k. They didn't do tuneup or transmission flush. The reason I was told that the tuneup couldn't be completed was because I needed rear brakes. The reason they said they couldn't do the flush was because I needed a valve. All of this they could have told me on Thursday since that was the primary reason we brought the car in for. They charged me for a light repair. Front Rotors O2 sensor and an exhaust weld. Disappointing, because I really use to like coming to this place with the exception of these last few years. Unfortunately writing a review and no longer supporting this business is the only way that I can deal with this bad experience, but I'm sure they will be fine without my business.

That award is well deserved and we always bring our cars here for service of all kinds. I am a systems engineer by training and these guys "speak my language"! We have two VWs that are 10 years old and thanks to the Chesapeake Car Care team we expect another 10 years from these cars minimum! I have detected a pattern on the handful of one-star ratings here that are artificially driving down their Yelp score--someone with a beef (I am guessing a competitor who is unhappy they keep winning the Best of Pasadena award) asked a few of their friends to post a bunch of hyperbolic 1-star reviews--I notice that for each of these likely fake reviews the person has only ever submitted ONE review to Yelp ever--one guy even claims they forgot to put his oil filter on and it ruined his car--total nonsense. Bottom Line: These guys are awesome!

Recently my engine light came on and I thought I would take it there again. After all the guy at the customer service desk was nice and they'd be super careful. A different man at the customer service desk was incredibly arrogant, rude, and condescending. He gave me a lecture on the dangers of driving with the engine light on and they would only charge me $98 to find out what was wrong. He stated in several different ways that I was making a big mistake and I should let them check my engine light. NOTE: You can go a couple blocks up the street Advanced Auto Parts and use their Diagnostic Code Reader for free. It is super easy, seriously if I can do it anyone can. I explained that I had just searched on the Internet and could go to Advanced Auto Parts and use their Diagnostic Code Reader for free. He laughed and said I wouldn't know what it meant, shaking his head. He's right and wrong, it's a code however, all I had to do was Google the code and read why my engine light was on. I read another Yelp and the woman wrote she felt they were not honest with women. The Yelps that are positive are all written by men. I gave them a second chance and it was not a positive experience.

They said the warranty was no good because it has been over three years (3 years and 4 months to be exact), even though it's under 24,000 miles.
