We moved to Annapolis in 2020 and took our 2007 Honda minivan to another dealer for the state inspection. They gave me a list of items that they claimed needed fixing...to the tune of $1700! A few were valid, the rest were nonsensical. On the recommendation of a neighbor we took it to Accurate and spent less than a third of that. We've been bring both of our cars there ever since. Great customer service all around. I called and spoke with Dave about getting a quote to get my busted fog light fixed on my Honda Accord Coupe. While they weren't the cheapest in my search, they also weren't the most expensive. I chose Accurate because Dave got back to me in a timely manner and was very helpful. Glad I chose to go with them. I took my car there to have the state inspection done. To be exact, I was there at 9 AM and I was told that it should not take more than 90 minutes to get my inspection done. I decided to leave my car there. After 2 PM, I called them after not hearing from them. I was told that the mechanic is working on my car and it should be done soon. After 3 PM, I called again and I was told the same think. I decided to go take my car right away. When I got there a young lady offered me my car key with no explanation or apology of any kind. My car was left there for an entire working day for an inspection that was never done. This is just another family owned business with an attitude of "This is my business. I do whatever I want". My car had been making a rattling noise for over a year, and I knew I needed a new catalytic converter heat shield. Another shop quoted me $311 to replace it. Accurate Auto said all they really need to do is put a clamp on it to stop the rattling. It cost me $75. Haven't heard the rattling since. Then I needed new brakes. Another shop quoted me $730. Accurate Auto repaired my existing caliper instead of replacing it, which saved me a ton of money. New front brake pads, rotors and a repaired caliper for $400. I am really impressed with their customer service. If you think about it, it makes sense. Charge fair prices and your customers will keep coming back. read more

Chose them for their high ratings...boy was I disappointed. Mechanic tried to go against my wishes and install a battery I explicitly told him I did not want. Then, charged me $335 to change it and parroted back to me that I probably had an underlying issue (which I told them) that would cost $200 extra to diagnose. I am extremely impressed by this shop. Their level of customer service is top notch. I took my car in for an oil change and the next day I, coincidentally, the exhaust hanger rusted out and my car started to sound like an M-1 tank. I thought it was something they did and was resolved that I found yet another crappy auto mechanic. But alas, they put it up on the lift, showed me the problem and turned the car around in a few hours in addition to ferrying me back and forth to my local job. I highly recommend these guys. I have spent a good bit of time looking for that shop that tells you straight. Not everything has to be fixed immediately as dealers want the general public to believe. I've dealt with this company and gotten good service in the past. But for some reason, they've made me wait five weeks to get my LCD backup screen repaired. When I call to find out the status of the repair order, the service manager is either never available or doesn't return my calls. When I finally went into the shop two weeks ago to find out what was going on, they told me they were in process of ordering the part. But no one has ever gotten back with me to let me know the part has arrive and my car is ready for repair. Am I supposed to think it takes that long to receive a part? I've never experienced such poor service, anywhere. I do not understand it either as they have been good to me in the past. Perhaps it's because this repair is technically out of their league and they don't want to admit to it. But if that's the case, they should have told me, and not left me hanging for five long weeks. read more
