The atmosphere is hostile . The ladies are arguing over clients . I kid you not the lady doing my hair took 2 hours just on the back of my hair not because she was moving slow , because she took 4 breaks walked outside several times was on her phone and my braids reflected that . I called on Wednesday morning for an appointment for today and talked to Dorinda who actually ended up installing my sew in. I was honestly shocked that she could squeeze me in so quickly due to my previous salon having a waiting list of almost a week every time I wanted a new style. Once I made my appointment, she sent me pictures of her work and that pretty much sealed the deal. When I arrived to the salon, she greeted me at the door and began on my hair. She gave me tips and pointers on how to keep my hair in its healthiest state and to keep the knots and tangles down. Before she started my install, she asked me how I'd like my part, if the braids were too tight, etc. As she started the install, I knew I was going to love it. It hasn't even been a full day and I'm already receiving compliments. This may be my new home salon.

He asked, multiple times, if I was okay with the amount of hair that he was cutting off. I appreciated that because you can tell that, based on experience, the amount of hair I was cutting off probably led to a lot of regret later on. Not me though, I was happy with my haircut, and he also offered to do bang trims in between appointments. The interior is really cute, it is a mixture of history, modern, and eclectic design. There's also a giant needle plant growing by the window, and Ron said that it has been there for decades. You can't miss it when you're walking by, it's probably what catches people's attention first.

The ASSISTANT that was blow drying my hair was very rough w my hair she added no oil before blow drying I actually had to ask. They didn't even have grease for a busy salon this is very odd to me. In addition when we were waiting for hours to get my hair done I decide I would answer my mothers call from tango, I was speaking w my mom on tango I was told I cannot be on my phone because it has to me quiet in the salon since there's other people, this made absolutely no sense to be since the stylist who told us we couldn't be on our phone was intact talking being loud! That made no sense to me I'm a paying client and wast being loud but talking.. Ok when it came time to weaving my hair stylist kept poking my scalp with the needle, that was very annoying it was painful. And my hair was being pulled tight.. I mention it to stylist I doubt she showed any concerns.I had my hair done may times before and never had I experience this, but it gets worse I'm taking my hair down my sister takes down this braid and my scalp came right out with it! I'm very pissed off now I'm walking around with no edge like a chicken head. I'm a natural gal and actually care about my hair and don't like to constantly hide my fair under other people hair, I did this weave so I can have it in a protective style. But NEVER again. Shop advertises walk ins only and hours from 7 AM to 7 PM Monday to Saturday and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. I arrived at the shop on Monday at 7 AM to only find out they are not open. They have a Note on the door stating if you are waiting call between 2 numbers. I called each number twice and left a voice message on one line, unfortunately I couldn't leave it on the other phone number because the mailbox was full. The current time is 8:49 and no one has still arrive at the shop! Very unprofessional!!
