This review is for the soccer department. After watching my 7 year old play 2 games I noticed she…read morewasnt getting very much game time. I complained as it was basically statically impossible to play as little as she did compared to the other kids especially the coaches daughter. They had 10 people with 7 positions yet somehow my kid sat the bench at the start of every quarter and played less than 50% of the game. All while the coaches daughter played the whole game. I confronted him about it and that guy actually told me that he doesnt believe in fair play and that because his kid puts more effort into practice that she deserves to play more then everyone else. I know hes a volunteer but these are 7 year olds that are in first and second grade. The director of the soccer department did nothing about this coach. Everyone develops differently but that is far to young to punish a kid for not knowing how to play the game perfectly. Bottom line, Hopefully your lucky and you dont get a coach like this, or you get lucky and the coach doesnt single out your child in a method of social bullying. Because, the Channahon Park District will do nothing to help you in this situation. That Coach shouldnt ever be allowed to coach anyone less then 4th grade. That Coach is going to be the reason why so many young kids turn away from soccer.

I take the cardio strength and kickbox strength with Annmarie. All workout classes are good for any fitness level. Most classes are only $5 for the drop-in rate. Most people sign up for the yearly fitness package, but the drop-in rate fits really nicely with my busy schedule. Definitely lost some pounds and toned-up a bit in the two months of dropping in and taking Annmarie's classes. Good luck and happy workouts.

Like this recreation center in Orland Park. When our kids were little they attended classes in some…read moreof the rooms in the building, and one of them took a gymnastics class in the gym. We think most of the use here is for the younger set ... classes and party rooms. They even have an indoor play area for the young toddlers. Now, we usually use the facility for the walking track on the second floor surrounding the gym - free to use and open everyday the building is open. Nice track but a bit short. It takes 16 laps to put in one mile, but in inclement weather this is a good go-to place. Unlike the Sportsplex in Orland, this little gym is not air conditioned, so come on a day when the weather isn't too volatile. Still and all, recommended and a nice benefit of living in Orland Park.

The indoor park is free and open when the building is open. I came on Sunday afternoon. Not much action going on besides birthday parties in other rooms of the building. The park was clean and not too big or too small. My friend also brought her kid here and we had a blast. There's 2 benches for sitting and a garbage can in the corner. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. I look forward to bringing her back. Very nice facility.

They allow bullies to stay on the Women's Volleyball league and A-level competitive players to play against less-experienced players (B/BB, C, D-levels) in 1 co-rec league. It causes alot of court/game problems regarding positions and cohesiveness to play together safely. I was on the Winter/January 2024 VB league and experienced negative incidents from female players. As a long-standing BB/B level VB player, I bring my positive attitude in playing with teams and mates but many players don't share the same standards. I was born legally 65% deaf and my disability often confuses people since I can't engage in normal conversation, often mistakenly read as being anti-social. Everyone in leagues I play on are alerted about my hearing disability. 1/29/2024: teammate Donna (same team Spike-N-Spice, captain Brandy Valentine) cowardly pushed/jabbed my back from behind during a game. I was caught off-guard considering she and I have never had problems, but I sensed anomisity from her the beginning. No avail as to why. Recollecting myself, I ignored her cowardly aggresssiveness and continued playing with proper sportmanship. She never explained to me why she pushed me nor did I ask her and I couldn't trust her anymore. Captain Brandy chose to not act upon this assault, and I took myself off the team. I emailed Dundee Township managment providing full incident details. Tammy Greco, Superintendent of Rec, contacted me back only saying general words of "Thank you for sharing your feelings, it's been addressed." There were no resolutions given to me as to the outcome of Donna's bad behavior. This incident wasn't based on "feelings", it was based on a physical assault per videotapes. Since the township choose to not act, I don't feel safe to continue coming here, assured that behavior like this won't be allowed.
