This school has a strong foundation for every student to go attend a university/ college. Wonderful…read morestaff, teachers and alumni striving for the pure success of each student. Even though roughly 500 students 9-12th attend this school and lack of money for events, there is INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION, Priority of Applications & everlasting relationships among teacher and student. Shout out to Ms. Valenzuela for always believing in her students and looking out for us beyond our high school years! CCECHS makes it their goal to develop social and academical skills. Just needs improving in school spirit and fundraising but other than that being a Titan was an honest joy! #Classof2014

As a former student I am very concerned with the new incoming students transferring to this high…read moreschool. The school is very toxic and not just the students but the administration. This school is not supportive and does not take actions when there is problems within the school environments they are extremely unfair when it comes to senior class rules and limits. Since they did get Sued they are being unfair to class of 2026 by not letting the kids experience the last year of high school. Arevelo is a Vice principal who takes these actions very harsh within these kids which can be good but she's inappropriate with it. She acts as teenager and "gets along with everyone" by using now and days slang but when it comes to confronting someone she takes it above the appropriate line. There has been at least 7 teacher who have left within 3 years which is extremely devastating for the students who have to develop a new teacher and class room rules with work as well. The only good thing about this school is think together which is the afterschool program. They care and are always supportive when it comes to students real life problems. I do not recommend this school.

This school was something else--and not in a good way…read more Long story short I was bullied by my classmates since kindergarten (got called weird mainly) to the point I saw myself as stupid, weird and ugly by the third grade and I developed depression, which is now worse and had developed into mania. I remember this one moment: This was in 5th grade. So the second day at Outdoor Science School, I was going to take a shower, then after I was done i was putting on my clothes and then I forgot my shorts and then I asked my cabin mate to get my shorts where was on my bed, and she said she couldn't find it neither the councelor, and I realized i had to get it without shorts, with UNDERWEAR, so i had to run with a towel and my towel was moving a lot and everyone saw me my underwear with some towel and it was so embarrassing and i cried because i knew they were gonna talk about it for months and then at dinner they pretended a little to be sorry and then I found out they told almost everyone then some kids told me their embarrassing secrets to make me feel better. I felt offended when someone mentioned it now, to be honest. Nowadays, I have slight panic attacks while changing in locker rooms that aren't my school's. And I was judged by half my peers and treated like a wild animal. I got called autistic so many times I honestly started to believe it. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am not an adult but for my safety I am not going to reveal what years I had been to this school.

Thankful for all the teachers she had especially Mr.Hughes he has always been such an amazing teacher with so much patience and such a great vibe and environment for the kids. Ms.Christopher retired but always remembered my baby and me since we both had her for a teacher hope she has a wonderful retirement. Thank you to Ms.Garrison for helping with so much and protecting our children. wish I cannot you back with a vacation and peace of mind with this pandemic. One thing I do suggest be as much involved with the school and your child while attending any school that is one thing I wish I did overall. The school is safe and secure and strict which is what our children need. A lot of programs to join and activities provided.

The staff, teachers, students, parents, and PTA Board members at the school are like one big family. They strive to make the school a great learning environment for the students. The new Principal (Mr. Dargahi) and the previous Principal (Mrs. Imperiale) are very professional and friendly. They try to provide parents with as much information about their students' progress and any campus activities. The Parent Center Rep (Liliana) is such an asset. She is constantly trying to connect parents, teachers, staff, and the PTA together, so that everyone works together. I am proud to have had the privileged to send my kids to this California Distinguished School and work along side so many great parents, teachers, and staff!
