I love love love Delphi! Our 2 boys go to their wonderful preschool. I am so so grateful to all the care my boys receive and all the fun activities and learning they do. I found that other preschools didn't have any real structure and felt a little disorganized and dirty. I really appreciated that Delphi is, clean, organized and the kiddos get to do music and art, sports and lots of outside play time. After the first morning, for my second son, was speaking more and more independent. It was remarkable. The teachers and staff are so nice, answering all my questions and updates. I love Delphi LA for so many reasons! One big one is seeing my child do so well. When she started in summer of 2021 she was very behind in school, didn't want to go to college, didn't have any clue what she wanted to do in the future, was very unhappy in life and and really just didn't want to be there. The shut downs from the pandemic were very hard on her. In the past three years she not only has completely caught up, she is ahead. She now knows what she wants to do and not only wants to go to college but knows what she wants to major in and wants to minor in architecture as a back up. She is happy to go to school, loves her teacher and the staff, and happily participates in school functions. We have our smiling, fun loving, smart kid back and we are sooooo happy! Firstly, Ms. Diana from the Junior Dragons class ROCKS!!! My 3 year old just loves this class and she is learning so much in such a fun manner! Thank you to Delphi for adhering to strict Covid-19 protocols to keep our children safe yet still offer them a normal experience. Our 3 year old didn't miss out on any fun this summer and is excited to return in the Fall! I can see that the parents are also very respectful and cooperative with the new rules, and that makes everyone happy and relieved. Both my husband and I are Delphi LA alum and proud to send both our kids to Delphi starting as soon as they were school age (now high school and 3rd grade). The curriculum is designed for the students to actually APPLY what they learn, and the program is customized for each individual child based on their needs and interests. The absolutely incredible dedicated staff are world-class and always put the child's best interest first. They are clearly passionate for the mission to enable children to be and accomplish all that they desire and inspire them to do so. My 9-year old is now a "reading addict," having read dozens of books this year, large and small. My 15-year old is a now taking full responsibility for her own education. Her level of ethics and personal drive have skyrocketed this year as a result of the leadership and responsibility required in the high school program. Delphi Academy is an amazing School. It is a school that services preschool through high school graduation. One of their specialties is that they do not teach memorization of information. The students are taught information that they learn so they can use that information and apply it to life. A completely different Concept in education is used with these students because they study at their own pace on check sheets. When a student is done with a check sheet they are tested to see if they have 100% understanding and if they do not then they are we taught the materials until they actually know everything. Of course this is probably nothing you have heard of before and it might seem a little unrealistic. But imagine a student trying to learn multiplication when they actually did not understand addition. This is one of the problems in modern-day education and why we have so many dropouts. Delphi offers a wide array of extracurricular activities. It might be foreign language, music, woodworking, drama, Sports and the list goes on and on. Delphi offers open days for students and their parents to come in and experience the school. Now it might sound to you like I work here but I don't. My Three Sons all attended Delphi Academy in the eighties and nineties and now my granddaughter has been there since she was 2 and she is 8 now. They are all exceptionally educated well-rounded happy individuals. You can see why I am giving Delphi a 5-star review. read more

My kids both started at Delphi LA in preschool and are now in 1st and 5th grade. I love this school because my kids are safe, happy and getting an education tailored to themselves as individuals. They advance at their own pace and are given a level of personal care and attention that wouldn't be possible in most other schools. I communicate with their teachers almost daily. I know the other kids and families in their classes and we have a strong parent/family community. The teachers and faculty are wonderful people and go above and beyond on a daily basis. My kids have music class, art, PE and performing arts in addition to their usual academic programs. They also get to play competitive team sports starting in first grade! We've been at Delphi LA for 8 years now. I see the High School graduates each year and how sharp, ethical and ambitious they are - and that's the example that our younger kids see and are inspired by. There's no drugs or violence or craziness that unfortunately is all too common in schools these days. I'm extremely grateful for this unique and special school and highly recommend Delphi LA! read more

Horrible experience with my family. Administration does not care about the kids. The teachers in the little dragons class do not monitor the kids. Multiple issues including poor sanitation and care, kids were sick with RSV and they did NOTHING to control that. Teachers leave the little kids soiled. I absolutely love this school. I attended Delphi from kindergarten through high school, from 1991 through 2004. As a kid, I took the education there for granted as I didn't know anything else. Once I got in to the work force, I realized what an advantage I had due to the stellar curriculum and teaching methods there. I am forever grateful that my parents had me go there. Now, I have a 3 1/2-year-old son who in the preschool and has been since he was 18 months old, the youngest they accept. He adores it. The preschool teachers are all wonderful people and are great with the kids, all the kids are always happy and playing when I see them and they are kept very busy with lots of activities throughout the day. I highly recommend Delphi for kids of any age, from 18 months up to high school students. read more

My son started last year in baby dragons at the age of 1 and half. Watching over the year his intellect increase 10 fold. He's 2 and half, counting, knows his colors and preforms art and crafts. This is an amazing school and recommend everyone at least checks it out for their children read more

This is a truly wonderful school. K through high school. My daughter is in second grade and my son is in Preschool. Both started when they were 2. My recommendation is to go for a tour and see the school and meet the faculty. Both of my kiddos are happy, interested in what they are learning and having fun while they are doing it. My daughter LOVES going to school here and is so proud of her accomplishments. Each student has their own program and gets through the curriculum at their own speed. The teachers and staff are caring and genuinely want your child to succeed in life and do well. They work WITH you to help your child and when bumps in the road come up, they want more than anything to see your child get through them successfully and happily. Children are the MOST important piece of our lives, they will spend great part of if in a school, so when we chose Delphi Academy to ensure our kids have a great foundation before confronting the world we hit the jackpot! Everyday we find out something new they have learned. The way the teachers have helped our kids develop their individuality, while at the same time emphasizing self-discipline and respect towards others, has truly been a heartening experience. My daughters love going everyday so much that when I go pick them up at the end of the day, they don't want to leave! So its safe to say you can't go wrong here! Delphi Academy is for our family, and especially our 7 1/2 year old - a total extended family! When we have an issue or something needs to be addressed, there are plenty of ways in which the school takes this to heart and helps, plenty of avenues to get her being stronger in that area or whatever it is. Especially as regard the way the curriculum just flows with each child's needs. This School is something that should be emulated and duplicated throughout the school system, In my opinion. It's a different approach to learning new ideas and information that focuses on the practical application of what has been learned. Each student has their own custom tailored program to follow and the student is responsible for their progress and reaching targets for each course. I attended the main Delphi Academy in Oregon and visited this campus several times. Delphi's curriculum is top-notch. Their grammar course was the only one that actually broke the subject down into basic terms and concepts that I could grasp. Their reading selection is huge, varied and allowed me to experience many books that I otherwise would not have read. Their math program filled the gaps in my education in a matter of weeks. And their writing courses were unlike anything I had studied. The Delphian School's campus is spacious, secure and clean. Which allows for the kids to have space, play games and build life-long friendships. I still try to see as many of my Delphian friends as I can each year. And it's always a treat to meet other alumni. I highly recommend Delphi, if only for the summer camps which introduced me to their life-changing programs. read more

Needed a last minute summer camp for my kid when I was visiting from out of town (They are near LA, we live in SF) My son had a great experience. He did a sketching class and a robotic class, both of which he loved. The facility was beautiful and the people were great. There was enough paperwork they had what they needed without asking unnecessary info. He jumped out of the car at the beginning of the day to be with strangers, a good sign. Kids know. So happy I sent him there and will send him again if I need to. Would love to send him there full time, but I think 5 hours each way would be too much of a commute for me! read more

This is a GREAT private school, I went to a branch in Florida and my husband went to this one located in Los Angeles. Most of the teachers he had are still working here and many have the same jobs and classes. The students who graduate are phenomenal students and many go on to run successful businesses and have thriving careers. They recently opened a preschool that my 2 and 1/2 year old daughter now attends. She can say her full alphabet, count to 20 and knows over a dozen shapes including an octagon and a hexagon. Her social skills are improving greatly and she is communicating more and more. The teachers in the preschool are AMAZING! I could not have asked for more patient and caring people. Daily when we drop her off she is excited to go to school and even asks to go on the weekends. I would totally recommend this school to anyone. read more

I went to this school from 1990-1994. I still look back at that time fondly! I still have friends in my life from that time and now our children go there as well. There are so many things I love about this school. I love that children go at their own pace, they aren't forced into the next grade even if they barely pass the previous grade. They really have a great understanding of everything they should have learned and mastered before moving ahead. This is so important to me as a parent. I really wanted to make sure my child loved school and was happy in the environment. I love that many of the older children play and interact with the younger children and are really kind to them. You hear so much about bullying at school and I'm glad this isn't anything we've had to deal with. It's a really great school with great staff - I highly recommend it. read more

This is by far the best school I have found for my 2 year old. I have looked and interviewed around a dozen or more schools to send him to. The teachers in the preschool are AMAZING! I could not have asked for more patient and caring people. My son has been going to the preschool for about 8 months now and LOVES it! He learns so much and always comes home knowing new songs, new stories, new colors, etc. etc. Even on the weekends he talks about wanting to go to school to play with his friends. My eight year old son has been at Delphi Academy for almost six months now and he is absolutely thriving. His previous school had labeled him "behind" because he wasn't reading fast enough for a child of his age. But at Delphi he is right on target and he UNDERSTANDS what he reads. This is my school! As a youngin' I attended Delphi at it's former campus. As an adult, I have been working here for almost two years. It's sometimes difficult to appreciate what we have here, until I experience the educational environment and standards of other schools. Recently, I have worked with students from China, Korea, Saudi Arabia and Guatemala. We have also done some collaboration with students from a school in South Central Los Angeles. This gave me an opportunity to view our school through their eyes and the eyes of their teachers. Our students are so friendly and unfettered. They are helpful, kind, creative and independent. I am a little bit biased, but also passionate about the products I help create. I cannot imagine wanting my own future children to go anywhere else and I cannot imagine wanting to work anywhere else. I strongly recommend coming to tour our campus and experience the environment that is Delphi. You won't be disappointed. :) read more

What a special place that combines traditional academics with fun enrichment activities and field trips. We couldn't find another summer program that incorporates both. The staff and teachers are loving and caring, and warm. They make both parents and children feel like family from the first day. Bridgette, Melody, Cree, Ellen are all wonderful. Our son loved his 1st summer camp experience here which included weekly water slides, cooking classes (including one at Benihana's), and weekly field trips to the Long Beach Aquarium, LA Zoo, Hollywood Bowl, etc. The big bonus is that our son started reading the first week he attended summer camp here, and has developed a love for reading while at the Delphi Academy. My 6 year old loves going to school at Delphi! He started in the preschool at age 2 and is now in the academy starting in 2nd grade. As a parent, I know how hard it is to choose a school, but I can say that the moment I walked into Delphi I felt completely at ease. You can feel a sense of security and competence from not just the staff, but from the other students as well. They are involved WITH the school and WITH each other. The hours are amazing. As a working parent, having the school actively open until 5 pm is a blessing! I don't have to worry about finding after school activities, Delphi provides art, sports, language, science, etc daily, so kids stay active all day. Another plus is the teacher to student ratio. It is very common to walk around and see teachers working one on one with students. Overall, I am so happy with my son's progress as a student, and most important with the school as a whole. My kids have been in this school for years and they love it! They study, perform and take music classes. I would highly recommend this school In they way that they teach the kids! The kids help other communities with different projects that they do through the school. They actually move faster In their academic program if they are ahead regardless of age. Also if a problem arises they get it sorted quickly and the kids continue to do well. We love it as parents, the kids love it. I know because I am one of the presidents of the parent organization of the school, I wouldn't do this volunteer job if I didn't love this school! I am so happy that my grandchildren are experiencing Delphi . All three of our boys are graduates from Delphi and we couldn't be happier with them. They are strong, intelligent, caring and ethical men now who have their own families. Delphi taught them the importance of being true to their own beliefs and live an ethical and flourishing life. I am a parent of a Delphi Academy graduate, who has successfully completed his first year of college in New York City, achieving honors grades and Dean's List. Many of the Yelp reviews are from parents of younger children. This is one from a parent, who like most parents sending their child to a private school, struggled and often questioned the sacrifice; but can look back and say : "It was all worth it!" Knowing what he learned at Delphi, not just academically, but in character and leadership, I was not concerned about sending my son across the country to attend college, fully aware of the diversions, distractions and less than positive influences he would encounter. Looking back over the seven years he attended Delphi, I can honestly say that the school did a marvelous job! When he moved to Delphi in middle school, he was assessed at being two years behind what was considered the appropriate progress and skills for his age. He hated math. His study skills were lacking. By the time he moved into high school, his study skills were top notch. He completely managed his own learning program, setting and meeting targets. I was not involved in his homework in any way. He would say, "Mom, I love you, but I'm doing homework, so please leave my room. " The ability to manage his own learning and use study skills were essential to his success in college. Students in his dorm who attended regular high school were not so prepared and struggled. Delphi also teaches character and leadership. All students have opportunities to develop as leaders, whether it's running the Bingo Night or holding a position in Student Government. I watched my son and other Delphi students I knew develop over the years, as each took on greater and greater responsibilities. The transformation in many was amazing. The schools character development is also effective, including their efforts at drug education. He did not get distracted by the usual drugs and alcohol one finds on college campuses. Both my children go to Delphi. My daughter started at 3.5 and I was shocked at how quickly she was reading. The moment my second child was old enough, he was enrolled as well. Both of my kids are ahead for their age, they both love math and reading and Delphi keeps them challenged and engaged without overwhelming them. I'd highly recommend visiting the school and taking a look at the campus. I was really impressed with the space. When visiting, it will become apparent that this school is something special. You will clearly see children excited about learning, interacting (without bullying) with each other and the teachers and exploring their individual interests - from arts to sports, computers to science. This is by far the best school I have found for my two sons! They really work with them as individuals, nurturing their personal skills and strengths while working with them to improve areas where they are weak. The academic program is second to none, they include with this valuable community service activities that help them learn to contribute to and help the world around them.
