This is a jewel of a store offering a wide variety of chocolates and gourmet food items. They specialize in cake making for every occasion. To my great content, I spotted an espresso machine:) I ordered a long espresso which was delectable and exactly what I needed. If you're in St Remy and looking for something different from the usual Tim's, pop in. You never know what you'll come across and you'll be able to satisfy a sweet tooth craving you might have.

If you happen to be in Quebec Province and travelling from Montreal to Quebec City or vice versa, there are several towns you might stop in to get a cross sectional sample of history, from Chambly, a synthetic, plant and just add water instant suburb in the middle of a corn field, to Cowansville and Waterloo, Bromont and Shefford, places that are seeing tradition eclipsed by suburban sprawl, are still mainly agricultural, and are seeing some hard times, but as they will tell you, hard times are nothing new for these towns that started as pioneer settlements four centuries ago. In any case, to get a sense of all this, I would recommend stopping in at the local boulangerie in any of these towns, getting an elaborate pastry such as tartelette aux fruits, milles feuilles, napoleon, paris-brest, chocolatine or just an eclair with a great cup of coffee, capuccino, espresso, tea, or your choice of caffeinated beverage, and look out the window as people walk by and take you through a story both fascinating and sad at the same time. If you can, buy a loaf of bread to take with you, and if you are feeling forgetful you might neglect to realize this until you are safely back at home.

First and foremost, the staff were so nice and welcoming, tolerant of our stuttering French (and spoke English well). We tried the apricot croissant, butter croissant, blueberry chausson, and several choquettes. We sat at a nice clean indoor table and enjoyed our stash. Everything was delicious and they did remind us of Paris! Should we be in St Jerome again, we will be back again, happily.
