This is a five star soft ice cream stand that has been going for over 50 years. The ice cream is tip top, it's on a quiet road and there are plenty of picnic tables and places to sit outside and enjoy that summer treat! Awesome!

I put 5 stars because their ice cream is very fresh. The tables are pretty clean sometimes ice cream is on them but that's not their fault. Their service is fast, and they have very nice employees. I usually get the twist with vanilla and chocolate. It tastes really amazing! I will definitely come back! :))) read more

Best ice cream in all of Plattsburgh, hands down. The regular ice cream is creamy yet not so creamy you feel like you're licking straight cream. The dole whip flavors are my favorite - ESPECIALLY when they do Raspberry and Chocolate as the two flavors. Plus all the toppings you can get on your ice cream are amazing. Marshmallow, chocolate, blueberry, strawberry, peanut butter, butterscotch, chocolate, blackberry, peanut brittle crunch, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles, hot fudge, hot caramel... I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something but that's a pretty good list. Tip: If you get vanilla ice cream (or dole whip) and top it with peanut butter and strawberry, it's like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sundae. Delicious. Also has great milkshakes (available in extra thick!) and tasty hurricanes with flavors like M&M, butterfinger, oreo and sometimes andes mint. Yum. Of course this review is after the season but go back in 2011! read more

Go here if you like soft serve, and a friendly local atmosphere. AND or if you have a sensitivity to lactose. Harrigan's features a different Dole whip flavor (weekly, daily/ whenever they feel like it), which are very good. So far, pineapple is my all time favorite. Locally owned and operated, Harrigans employs sweet local teens who do a really good job. They are really nice about serving you right before closing also which I particularly appreciate. Parking is expansive, and its a nice place to sit and relax on a warm day with a cone or bowl. read more

Harrigans is the best ice cream I've had I try to go as much as I can take it from someone who's lives close to harrigans this place is amazing the ice creams are truly soft except for the hurricane kinda I get the hurricane all the time the mix it with any toppings you want it gets hard but then it gets soft overall I'd give this a five star rating I've been going to harrigans for years read more

This is only the BEST ice cream on the planet, and I've had a LOT of ice cream. My favorite is vanilla topped with melted peanut butter topped with chopped nuts. Pretty much what you'd expect Jesus Christ to hand you when you walk through the pearly gates. Yeah...it's that good. read more

Perfectly pleased with this place, but the competition is fierce and some folks are setting the bar very high. The top thing I will say about this place is the staff were friendly and very friendly about our child, which matters a lot, arguably it's the top decider of where I go these days. The coffee and pastries were good, but nothing special. We got the last breakfast sandwich, be warned inventory is limited, and it was hot on the outside and cold in the middle.

As soon as I walked in I could tell I had stumbled upon a great spot! The ambiance is very quirky cute, and the space is well kept and well organized. The line was long but moving quickly- staff seem great at keeping orders moving while still being friendly and not making folks feel rushed. Prices were reasonable enough to make me do a double take. I'd expect to be paying more for food of this quality, but I'm certainly not complaining! I also bought more because everything was well priced and delicious. The first time I stopped in, I got the non typical turkey (not pictured here but equally photogenic and mouth watering) and bought some of the bagels to take home. The sandwich was outrageously yummy, and my kids devoured the bag of bagels in two days. Welp, that sandwich was living rent free in my head for the whole next month... so you know the next time I was driving by, I had to swing through with my two boys. This time I got the islander on a honey sriracha cheddar bagel that was out of this world. I've yet to try any of the sweet bakery treats but I'm eyeing those next. This is definitely the best food spot I've found for my 4.5 hour trek between NH & NY. Sandwiches pair perfectly with a coffee, a podcast, open windows and some nice sunny weather. Homies behind the country run a smooth operation. No matter if you get a bag of bagels and in-house made cream cheese to go, or you get one of their steak and egg sandwiches all dressed up... you will be blessed. The overpriced artwork for sale on the wall is too niche for me if your into that they have it. Wooden atmosphere, friendly staff, and the tasty smell from the kitchen earn this place a 4/5.
