When I have a problem, he is responsive, and helps me troubleshoot. He will even test solutions first before having me commit to expensive installs. I have been burned working with more established "high end" installation shops where you just have to trust what the guys are telling you and then never hear from them again. Not with Pacific Wired. Our first priority was a new TV and a new receiver and getting confirmation this team could do the work. Well, they can and not only can they do most anything you need, they do it with patience, lots of grace, a sense of humor, total dedication to perfection and without ripping you off. Once you start talking to the people who work here you will find that most of them have been there for over a decade and some of them have been there almost two decades and that's because they love what they do and it shows in every aspect of this process. We had an initial consultation which they credit back to you if you have the work done and then we made our choices with tons of guidance based on our budget and needs. The team came on the day of install and they were clean, professional, knowledgeable and just plain good guys. We had one little hiccup after they left and they immediately came back and fixed it. We started with Quincy in the store to pick out the TV and eventually started working with Alex for the entire set up and he sticks with you through everything until the very end, even follow ups. Alex and his team were flexible and incredibly knowledgeable with A/V systems and with Sonos especially which was extremely valuable as that is ultimately what we opted for. In phase 1 of our remodel, the VSS team helped us update our wifi and establish Sonos across our 2 most populated rooms and our back patio. (Their flexibility and patience shined here as they did not push to expand into additional rooms yet because they knew we were planning a Phase 2 remodel) Because they did such a stellar job on the Phase 1 and because they were so professional, fast and flexible we reached out and asked them to add Sonos speakers across the entire house, plus 1 Sonos "Move" so we'd have another outdoor speaker we could place wherever we wanted in the back or front yard when entertaining guests. VSS gets 5+ stars from me because additionally as part of Phase 2 they also identified and FIXED a deficiency in the wifi setup that was mainly due to a wifi service upgrade after they had completed Phase 1. This improvement to the wifi was incredibly timely given my 3 kids were (still are) all home doing distance learning because of Covid-19. If you have A/V needs, these guys are the best. I highly recommend them and they have secured a lifetime customer in me for the high quality of their work, professionalism and customer service. Come 2020 one of the Glen's retired and the other cut back. Peter was now "the face" of VHT. He was cool...until he wasn't. One day I called him about doing an adjustment to the Control4 system. It was a minor job. Instead of a "let's set something up," he gave me pushback, saying his tech lives in the Central Valley and that's a long ways from Brentwood, implying my job is too small to do. I was surprised. Distance was never an issue...until then. Now that I've moved to San Rafael, I'm going with a local installer. I wish VHT well; they've branched out to San Francisco and Cupertino. But I just got the feeling they didn't want my business anymore.
