Whoa. This place is succulent city…read more My friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and is making her own bouquets and arrangements for the tables (yes, she's crazy). She tracked down Greenworld because they sell their cuttings at much cheaper prices than you'd find at a florist. On Saturday morning, four of us hopped in a car stocked with Isles puppy dog tails and coffee and shlepped ourselves to North Branch to check it out and pick out which cuttings she wanted for the arrangements. You have to make an appointment during their off-season---they are not open to the public otherwise. I've NEVER seen so many succulents in one place. Mainly, the greenhouse is full of hundreds of kinds that I had never seen ever. Strange rose-mimicking plants, bright orange and purple colors, furry friends, snowball cacti... and a new kind of aloe plant that looks like a cylon basestar (nerd alert). For example, did you know that you are supposed to clip succulents fairly often and then replant the clippings. Otherwise some of them just get tall and sad. He was nice enough to make cuttings for a wedding inspiration board, so to speak. We messed around with combinations of different plants for a while and then let him know what the plan was. After that, I roamed the aisles again and picked our some new additions to my own succulent family (I've covered my whole bay windowsill with them). I picked our four good size plants that were only $5 each and not things you'd typically see in a store. Normally, they do accept credit cards, but it's cash or check during the off-season. The cylon plant has shown no signs of attacking the other plants, but there are many copies... and they have a plan.

But NO…read more- I was surprised to find that most of their items were very reasonably priced compared to the big box stores. They usually have what you need in stock, even if it's in a small quantity. Some great little garden items and a Koi pond for the kids to check out as your walking through. Staff is usually abundant and eager to help out get you what you need. It's worth stopping by to check out what specials they have before you hit the big box stores for gardening/pet/landscape supplies.

Poor customer service. I had evergreens planted in March of 2017. In April of that brown spots…read morestarted showing up. I contacted the company and was told that was normal.Then again in May and September I reached out because there was much more browning of the evergreens. I was then told to cut the tops off where they were turning brown. However, it wasn't just the tops of the trees. I have sent pictures, emails and made calls to no avail. Shermik did show up in Sept of 2017 for another possible job and said the evergreens would be fine. I have recently sent yet more pictures as several of the trees are now dead. The response I received was that it is my fault the trees were dead since I did not do what the company told me in March of 2018 when they came to look at the trees. NO ONE has been to physically see these trees since Sept of 2017. So now I am going to have to have these trees removed and new planted, BUT not by these company.
