I was not informed that my fence would need to be removed or that heavy equipment would be driven through my yard, which left me no opportunity to prepare. The fence was reinstalled in worse condition than before, and a personal memorial area in my yard was run over and destroyed. Overall, there was little care shown for the property. The "thorough cleanup" described in the quote was not completed. Instead of minor touch-ups, I was left with significant damage, including large ruts, exposed dirt, and leftover debris from the tree--resulting in additional repair costs. Payment expectations were also not clearly communicated in advance, which created issues at the time of service. Most concerning, after I raised these problems, the company said they would return to address the damage. They never followed through and stopped responding. At this point, the issue is not just the property damage, but the lack of accountability. If you decide to hire this company, make sure everything is documented in writing and take photos of your property beforehand.

Please do not use this service!!! I urge you to look at…read morethis and other reviews to see how terrible this company is!!! We are no longer able to work in the yard due to our age. So, we hired Garcia Landscaping to rip out the old sidewalk and replace it, build a retaining wall, lay sod, lay mulch, and add new plants. The work was so poorly done that we have had no choice but to hire another professional to fix all the problems they caused: 1) The SCANTLY-WRITTEN contract stated that Garcia was to use brown mulch, they instead used Black mulch, WHICH HAD MOLD!!! Garcia threw some mulch only on parts of the flower beds and then left the old brown mulch on other parts. Garcia stacked the mulch high on some parts such as the tree roots, WHICH CAN KILL A TREE! All of the moldy black mulch had to be taken up and some other mistakes had to be fixed, WHICH COST ANOTHER $5,000!!! In the mulch bed, we also paid for them to remove roots and a root stump, when we had to take up the mulch, we found out that Garcia DID NOT remove those roots. 2) That $5,000 also covered the cost of replacing the "new plants", because Garcia landscaping put in DEAD, DYING, OR INSIGNIFICANT plants. 80% of the plants had to be taken up. Also, some of the plants were not even planted they were just placed in the mulch. Garcia also was asked to put in some specific types of plants and he kept on claiming that "they were on the truck", they were NEVER received. 3) With the sidewalk, Garcia took the old concrete slabs and PLACE THEM ON OUR PROPERTY IN THE WOODS!!! They never hauled it away, they created THREE trash piles in our woods. If I pay someone to do something, SHOULDN'T THEY DO IT!!! The electric line for the lights on the side walk was THREE feet away from the sidewalk and covered in mulch, we also had to pay for that to be fixed so it would be protected. 4) We use another service to place Termite traps around our property; Garcia COVERED all of these traps in both the mulch and sod, some were even thrown into the woods, THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!!! The Termite company had to locate and uncover these essential traps. 5) We questioned the unevenness of the sod and we were told that the owners had to physically roll the corners down ourselves. We paid for Garcia to lay the sod, if we wanted to "roll it" then we would have not paid for this service. We have some picnic tables and a grill in our yard and Garcia did not move them to place down sod there. NOW, we just have a patch of sodless yard. At least a THIRD of the sod has NOT SURVIVED!!! 6) The downspout drainage pipes that run across our property to drain was covered up by sod at the exit point. Water started to backup along the pipe. That was another thing that we had to PAY ADDITIONAL for to be fixed. 7) For the retaining wall, they left deep tracks caused from their Bobcat machinery. They REFUSED to fill that in, and we had to PAY for someone else to fill it in. The Bobcat also left many digs IN the driveway and left it filthy. Garcia stated that he "would clean the driveway", no surprise Garcia DIDN'T. 8) They placed stone veneer around the foundation. Around the back corner, they left it unfinished and jagged under our deck. 9) Garcia broke our fence. They tore down the gate and part of the fencing and never mentioned it to us. When we discovered it laying on the ground Garcia stated that it was "old". The fence gate was working perfectly well before Garcia interacted with it. 10) Garcia broke two large stepping stones that were on our property, Garcia never mentioned breaking them. Garcia himself is an UNPROFESSIONAL person. Garcia says one thing and does another. Garcia falsely charged us more than agreed upon and we now have a contested bill of an additional $5,000. In the Clipp Magazine, there was a $500 coupon, which he REFUSED to take. He had agreed to come back to clean up and make repairs but Garcia HAS NOT RETURNED EVER!!! He stated in his advertisements that he pays attention to details, but HE DOES NOT AND CUTS ALL POSSIBLE CORNERS!!! As you can see with the previous comments, he does not do a good job and will cost you more just to fix all the issues he creates. We thought that we were paying for a service that would make our yard into a beautiful landscape that we could enjoy in our golden years, instead we have had nothing but misery dealing with Garcia and having to fix the problems caused. This feels like "age discrimination".
