Quote was first three fifty then during the visit then said 50 more to 400 total because came to give an estimate . Finally agreed to take check. Just the facts as I see them. Julio gave us several good options at different price points. Work was completed on time, with proper clean up and new grass seed put down to cover spaces. When inquiring about this, management, who I assume to be the owner, was extremely disrespectful and outright unprofessional. Stay away from this contractor! They are completely disrespectful, give false quotes and do anything they can to cut corners and left our property a mess. We got a quote for a ground level patio, including demo and removal of existing sidewalk and steps with a certain stamp pattern, color, and border. When the crew showed up they wanted to overlay the entire old patio without demo, and have an 8" step all the way around which would have created a huge tripping hazard! We argued about the job order and ended up calling the office. Only then did they start the demo. We ended up calling the office several more times because they were not following the job order and quote, including almost having the wrong stamp style and colors, and not doing the border on all sides. We were also having them install a lawn sprinkler system with phone app. They dug one of their ditches ten feet across a very pronounced property line and cut my neighbors water line. Next, they were going to leave without proving all zones worked or showing us how to program it or work it. Upon insistence they tested the system and three heads were not working, and they never installed the sensor for the phone app, telling me to buy it at Lowe's myself. They left the exterior of our house a mess with concrete dust all over the siding and door, and they scraped up and left huge gouges in our wooden pillars on the porch. When we pointed this out they insisted on a check for a "complete job." They never seeded the areas of the lawn where they dumped excess dirt. For two days they had stone dumped blocking our mail delivery. We had to sit outside with them ALL DAY FOR FOUR DAYS, (even though they said they would finish in 3 days) and ended up calling the office at least once every day, most days multiple times due to impending errors or issues. We live in a mixed community of full timers and vacation/summer homes. If we were not here these four day the entire project would have been 100% wrong. read more

This company is very unprofessional from the get go. To get a quote, it took me multiple times by phone and email to get answer and an actual quote with prices and how they came to that number. I asked for lawn maintenance (cut grass, remove weeds, and remove tree branches), build up the mulch pit in the front yard, and add new mulch to locations that already existed. What I got was a job half done and had to have them come back out to cut weeds and add mulch alongside the house which was completely missed. Their answer was to throw mulch on top of the weeds cut a few branches to make me happy. I could have hired help from the street and they would have done a better job than this company. I made a deposit (5k)for a concrete job. Once I realized the verbal quote of 10k was too much for 20x20 ,8 yards or so of plain concrete to be laid and a shed elevated. I canceled. I never signed a contract either because he was sending it the next day. I used a credit card instead of debit card in case something like this happened. I canceled the same day, once I read the reviews and was told 8 yards 4000psi was only 1735. 8k for labor? Ridiculous I have not received my credit card deposit back. I'm not worried. Bank and attorney has been notified. I am a black retired female 100% disabled veteran with PTSD/anxiety who has been taken advantage. This is extremely upsetting for me. This company is all over Aquia Harbor and surrounding communities of military veteran families. Lesson learned, everyone isn't treated fairly from this company according to the reviews it seems people of color should stay away from this company or expect to be cheated out of your money. I was hesitant in making a review however it's in GODs hands and documented. Y'all need to know about the unethical behavior. It does not take this long to charge credit back to a credit card. Never pay cash always do credit because of unethical business practices. I only had a small job to start with with the expectation if they did a good job I would bring them back for more later. I was excited when they explained I needed 2 inches top soil, aeration, fertilizer, and over-seeding to fix my grass problem, and then gave me an excellent price. I was told to call the office to set appointment. First call - girl didn't know how to set appointment on their computer and said they would call me back when associate returned. I got no call back. Second call - same thing. I got no call back. Third call - she took a note to give to associate to schedule appointment for Aug 17. Day of appointment - was raining so was surprised no one called me to reschedule so I called them. Girl said there was no appointment scheduled and she would call me back. I got no call back. Aug. 18 I drive to their location to fix the problem, and as I arrived received call they were at my house. So I drove 45 minutes out of my way for nothing. They never told me they were coming on the 18th. I am not racist or prejudice, but I don't speak spanish. Not one person was able to communicate with me even though we tried. The results were: not 2 inches of top soil but about 1/4 inch. They even put top soil on an eroded hillside I did not want treated as it always just washes away. They put down very little fertilizer when I asked for heavy lime. They seeded fairly well, but I still now have to add more fertilizer and seed to be correct. The lack of customer support, scheduling, call backs, and communication ruined this project. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

They are very accommodating. Our front lawn needs to be cut with a hand mower. Our grass and ground is very soft and a sit down mower makes deep ruts! They do a terrific job cutting, edging, & blowing the cut grass off the sidewalk and driveway. We've used Garcia for about 4 years now and hope they stay in business for many more years! read more

I signed up for their mowing service and the first time they were supposed to show up they never did. I waited a whole week and when I called to complain, the receptionist thought they had showed up. I assured her that they didn't and she put in another request. I then had to wait another whole week and when they finally did show up they did an ok job, not the best I've seen other companies do in our neighborhood. So first impression was a very bad one. The second time, a couple weeks later, I get another bill from them where they supposedly showed up again for the service. This was a straight up LIE!! They never did anything to my yard as it looked the exact same as it did before they supposedly showed up!! I'm not paying this company a dime for this. This is actually fraud!! Garcia Landscaping installed a stamped concrete patio for us in June of 2022. After giving them half the cost of the job, I had to press them to give me a start date which kept changing. They did good work, but in the process they broke one of our water sprinkler pipes, which they repaired on the spot, but I found this troubling. They also stripped most of the paint off of the walls surrounding the new patio with a power washer. It looks horrendous against the new patio. They said they would repaint the walls, but after promising a date and time and even after Mrs. Garcia came by to inspect and see what needed to be done, nothing has been done. She said she would send someone out to take care of it. but In fact they don't even bother returning our calls. Disappointing. read more

This company has very unethical practices. I say this because I hired them to put my yard back together after our pool was installed. The guy came wrote a contract and indicate that he would do 12 LED lights around the retaining wall and charged for the many lights when only 10 was installed. We paid for top soil to be put down before the sod was installed and the top soil provided was not up to my expectations. I asked several times for an itemized statement so I could just exactly how much everything was going to cost that never materialized. I paid for river rocks that was full of dirt. This entire project was a total disaster. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse enemy. The worker couldn't not communicate in English and that was a major problem. read more

I have a 1/2 acre lot that needed care... I reached out to Garcia's and asked could they help me out,after a few emails they agreed to give me an estimate right away. Mr.Julio Garcia came to give me the estimate himself. He quoted me $2500 ‍ I immediately consulted with my wife and she looked at my like I was crazy but we needed it done. Mr. Garcia assured me this would be worth it. Sold me a dream of this beautiful landscape and I got basic lawn care with a side of Arrogant a$$hole. For $2500 he did a stone bed around my acre units, new mulch maybe 40 yards and the laid it over the old mulch, leaf removal in the backyard only and a cut... there was still debri leftover, a plastic bag and the clogged the drain at the front of the yard because they left the remaining leaves in it. I reached out to Garcia's and they called me back. Mr Garcia called and I requested that he come out and finish up some things that they forgot and I stressed that I was unhappy with the work. He proceeded to insinuate that I was poor because I was complaining about money vs his services and they tried to flex on me by telling me he just spent 40k on a new kitchen so my Lil $2500 was nothing. So I dug a little deeper and found out that most of his bad work was done to people of color. I have never been so disrespected in my own home. Bottom line - 2 out of 5 stars. Not recommended. Hardscape work was excellent. Clean-up after the work was average. Lawn restoration after hardscape work and associated customer service was horrible. No BBB listing should have been a hint. I had three stone tiered beds installed and a large area filled with stone, pipe, and soil. The ground was wet, so the equipment really tore up the lawn near the house. The work was completed at the end of February. I asked the crew lead and the guy that did the estimate to level the lawn. I was told a couple of times that it would be done after the bed planting was completed. As I handed over the final payment, I asked again about leveling the lawn and was told that after the spring rains had settled everything a crew would come back in 6 weeks or so and level/roll the lawn. The spring rains have come and gone, the lawn did not self-level. The lawn looks hideous and is so uneven in spots I've turned my ankle a few times. My first request on May 7 resulted in a promise that a crew would be out that week. Nope. I asked on May 9 about the crew and received a response on May 11 of, "Have to check the schedule." My request on May 16 was met with, "Mr. Garcia will be out this week to see what needs done." I have yet to receive a response to my email on May 20 asking when I should expect Mr. Garcia. I guess I'll have to pay someone else to come in and level and reseed. If you choose to do business with this company, ensure EVERYTHING is in the contract, especially restoration of the existing lawn or other property they might touch as they work. Don't make that final payment until EVERYTHING is complete. Bottom line - I screwed up; I trusted them. read more

Maybe they have so much work they don't care? They did, however, respond to a neighbors calls about tree removal. They were very kind to unload their equipment for this job in my driveway while I was at work and left my driveway a mess and damaged the asphalt. Still no calls returned on this either. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give them a 2 - only because they do decent work when they finally show up. We would schedule service and they would be a no-show without even the courtesy of a call. It took multiple calls to get them to perform the service they supposedly agreed/committed to perform. Once they did show up, they did some pretty extensive yard cleanup and we were very happy with the job. We decided to give them a second chance and arranged for them to maintain our yard on a weekly basis. However, after the second week of them not showing up and not calling, we canceled the service. We contacted Mr. Garcia to renew our sidewalk and patio. My wife also had a desire to expand our patio. We had a drawn design, which Mr. Garcia used to develop a more beautiful renewal and addition. As we went through the process, Mr. Garcia and we were involved in the different stages of the development. A big job was accomplished in just two weeks! Friends of ours, who are planning a bigger addition to their house have seen this work and are planning to contract Garcia's. The second time they were to cut our lawn, I had to repeatedly text to find out when they were coming. When it was time for the next cut, I refused to chase after them to see when they were coming. Well, they never showed up. I understand it has been challenging with all the rain, but all I need is a text or phone call letting me know that. They never communicated with me. This company really gets 0 stars and should have a Better Business Bureau rating of "F". If you value your money do not hire this company. I used this company two times and it was the second time I was stunned by this company's extreme overpricing for material and labor. This company provides a generic proposal with an overall cost, but never will provide a proposal or invoice in writing with the details of material planned to be used and at what cost; nor, amount of labor hours and at what rate. There's a reason this company does not share this important information to the customer -- they are pricing 60 - 80 % over the actual price! Their extreme profit margin is disgusting. Fortunately, I neither signed nor accepted their price for the second job, and will never work with this company again. Respect your money and don't hire this company. read more
