I was able to get an appointment with Brandie on pretty short notice. Her studio is inside Salon Republic, which was easy to find once I figured that out. We communicated via email and text, which made it super easy. The wax was better than any I've had before. Of course it's never painless, but Brandie did a really good job of making it as painless as possible. And really smooth results. She got every hair and I was really pleased with the outcome. She was quick, efficient and clearly knows what she's doing. And I feel like her price was really reasonable too. I highly recommend Wax Poetic. Edit: It has now been a YEAR since I first started seeing Brandie, and I now get waxed every 6 weeks. I even moved downtown and have to drive 20 minutes each way to see her. I guess that makes me a loyal customer. :) Brandie is amazing! I went for my 2nd ever Brazilian wax today, the 1st one done by someone else at a different company, and let me just say that Brandie's work was light years away from the previous wax job I had done (and I thought the 1st girl was good!) She was very professional, making it less awkward for me to be half naked in front of a complete stranger, quick to get down to business and quick with the process, and was so precise that no stray hairs were left behind, making the job as painless as a Brazilian wax can be (and I have a VERY low pain tolerance.) I was in and out within 30 minutes. She's also very personable, talks to you the whole time to keep your mind off of the uncomfortableness, and I had very minimal redness and soreness after the job was done. I found Brandie through an online deal and told myself I'd only get Brazilians for special occasions, but because of how flawless and painless of a wax job she does, I will definitely be back on a regular basis. Her normal prices are VERY reasonable so do yourself a favor and don't trust ANYONE else to wax your lady parts! read more

I've had many Brazilian waxes before but this one was pretty awesome. I had bought a Morgan's Deal voucher awhile back for $30 but little did I know that Brandie only charges $40 anyway! Like, for real? Brazilians usually run between $65 and $85. I'm totally sold... not just because of the price but because Brandie was REALLY a sweetie; was knowledgable at what she was doing, and was pretty fast at the whole process. I'm not sure if she used a different type of wax or a different type of strip, but was about the same pain level as others that I've had.
