Honestly, this is our go-to mall since it isn't far from where we live it's busy, the food court is amazing. I personally don't feel unsafe here, and honestly it's a very clean and good mall, I highly recommend this mall if you're in the area. read more

Lame parking with only a few weird entrances, but this is definitely a family-friendly mall. Two play areas, along with a carousel and a couple of family/baby areas (with changing stations, TVs, and little mini-playrooms) make this a great mall if you've got young children and don't want to be outside with the heat and mosquitoes. Parental danger zones, however, include a Disney store (although it's easy to bribe your kids into not liking this one, International's Disney Store is way better), StrideRite, and Gymboree... of course, all located near the play areas. And while it doesn't have the highest-end stores, any mall with two Starbucks, a Gloria Jean's, and a Five Guys automatically gets bonus points. Hit it up early, tire your kid out, and then go enjoy a well-deserved latte. read more

Brandon Exchange - Shopping Centers Near Me - Brandon, Florida

I don't come to the Brandon Mall often because first of all the traffic is a nightmare. The architect that designed this mall gets an F. The traffic design is circular and there are two large plazas (target plaza and toys r us plaza) that can only be accessed by entering the mall area. These plazas contribute to the overall traffic nightmare. I normally and would rather go to Westshore Plaza or International Mall before I go to Brandon Mall. I never go to the mall at all from Thanksgiving until MLK weekend because of the traffic. The mall added some stores a couple of years ago that I do like DSW, Cache, White House, Black Market, and Dicks. Today I had to go to Hallmark but found some good buys at a 60% off sale at Loft. I give the mall a 3 because of the awful traffic pattern, because the parking is awful you can never find a space and because they need more variety in the Stores. read more

I do like this mall a lot and I agree with other reviews that they have been adding a lot of great restaurants. The mall is clean but it wouldn't hurt to remodel or update certain areas. They have a good selection of stores. The mall is always very busy (and good luck finding a parking spot in December). Overall a good experience when you visit. read more

This is still one of my favorite malls. I have been going here since my daughter was born. I loved the nice nursing area. They have lost one or two of my favorite stores but I'm not angry, they have enough to keep this girl happy. I love going on holidays, their sales are always the best in town. It's kept fairly clean and nice selection of restaurants. One of our favorite places to eat was Ruby Tuesday. Again, I'm ok. Cheesecake Factory keeps us happy. I also enjoy going to Red Robin. They closed down the White House Black Market, that is not good. They do have Express, so I still can shop. I love that it is indoors. I always find myself stopping in, if I'm in the area. The location is great. Lots of great places around that I love to venture to when I'm in the area. :) read more

I really like this mall and have been many times. Recently there has been a new stand that is selling fried desserts. There oil that they use has to be bad because it makes half the mall stink. It made our clothing smell so bad and just mad for a very unplesent trip. I really liked this mall before this horrible smelling stand came in. It makes me cover my nose and hold my breath before walking in. If this stand was removed I would honestly give the mall a 4 but because of this stand it just made my experence so much worse. I would love for this stand to be removed but if not by the next time I go back I will be finding a new mall even if it is much further from my house. read more

This Mall is pretty awesome! Great variety of stores and especially restaurants that are attached to the mall. The outdoor courtyard where all the restaurants are is really nice. It's a very popular mall especially on weekends and parking gets full quick so sometimes hard to get a parking spot. read more

The mall itself is fine but the major stores are allowed to treat everyone awfully, nothing is really done if it is reported. I tend to try not to review businesses that i have had an issue with but this is one that needs changes to how they allow the stores and customers to act. No where have i seen disability abuse so high, people are ALLOWED to physically attack someone who is physically disabled and both the stores and mall security do absolutely nothing but watch. Stores also do nothing about shoplifting. On top of everything the biggest issue is an overall lack of care for health of customers here you will find; filthy bathrooms, a food court that is rarely cleaned, and rotten food being sold. Someone needs to fix this place soon or it's just going to keep worsening. read more

Well I think this mall must be struggling, a lot of the big names that you are used to are leaving and the spots are being filled with cheap or one business stores, stores that are selling cheap or trend clothing and not what you expect in the mall, and thats why they are having such a turn over off new stores. still many empty units and one food court unit empty for must be 4 months or longer No variety in the mall at all, but thats standard. They have just updated the seating in the food court and you now have benches, who designed the seating area? try and find a quiet seat for you and your wife or family. now if you have come in with a scout troupe you will be fine! last thing I will say is if you want something buy it now the store may be gone by your next visit. read more

I had not been to this mall in a few years (shopping)....I went a few weeks ago and what a terrible depressing place! All the good mall stores were gone, Macys was gross and dirty. Not a huge fan of this mall. Seems disorganized in the layout. I realize there is nothing they can do about that now. Just find it awkward and I prefer to shop elsewhere. Crowded during non plandemic times. The Cheesecake Factory is pretty awesome though. Just a noisy busy chaotic mall. Not the cleanest. Washrooms had towels and water drips all over near sinks. Messy. My daughter brought me to this mall because she liked The way they cut her nails! The place was very busy with Enept people! I had to recut 4 or 5 nails today! And she cut me! The masage at the other end of the mall was awesome! Very professional. read more

If I could ask one question to the designers of this mall it would be "Why do you hate people?" I do everything I can to avoid this mall because of the parking situation. It is a complete nightmare and even more so if you want to leave via the exit that you use to go to the interstate. It always backs way up and is just so poorly designed. I don't have these problems at Westshore Plaza, International Plaza, The Shops at Wiregrass, and Tampa Premium Outlets. With so many other choices I'm just not going to put up with this. Once in a blue moon I'll come to their Apple store if they have something not available at International Plaza and I'll be reminded how much I dislike coming here when it's time to leave. read more

Shopping here reinforces why I much prefer SHOPPING ONLINE. I rarely pay for shipping, but even if I must, it's worth it avoid the frustrations I encounter at this mall. It's well documented in other reviews how difficult TRAFFIC and parking can be. The LAYOUT AND DESIGN is very confusing. I find myself looking for the mall directory often. Unfortunately, the mall directory is not much help. It's color coded only, so you just get an idea of which area of the mall the store is located. There are no exact numbers to indicate exactly where a store is located. I shop with purpose--I'm not a browser, so it was disappointing to search and never find the store I was looking for. Several KIOSKS exists as well. They are fine, however I don't really like being approached and given a bag of goodies, only to have it taken away when I didn't want to participate in some larger initiative. I'm ok with kiosks in general, but warding off people who want to "reel you in" is annoying. The mall is CLEAN with wide spacing. Not overly crowded, even on weekends. This is coming from someone used to dealing with a crowded mall, often filled with tour buses of people. The KID PLAY area is a huge hit--swarming with kids. STORE SELECTION is decent. Little bit of everything. If you need a mall, this one serves its purpose. I hope the reviews here will offer some guidance of what to expect. Maybe I'll return for the book store, Apple Store, or DSW, but otherwise, I'll be at home, refining my searches, and clicking my virtual shopping cart. read more

This mall has improved so much in the past couple of years.They added an entire new wing with tons of new stores such as Quicksilver, Tilly's, a Books-A-Million store (which I love), another Starbucks to divide some of the traffic in the all, Dick's Sporting Goods, and some other upscale places that before you would only find in the International Mall in Tampa. They even have an arcade inside the mall now called Tilt with old school Sega games and various other arcades that I am so happy to find there. They added a sushi bar to the food court and the arrival of the Cheesecake Factory and other upscale restaurants has attracted lots of people to the mall. I like malls typically for the stores they have. I like this mall because they have select stores that I like that are not in other malls in the area. It is a nice indoor mall that attracts a crowd of decent people. There are typically not a lot of sales that occur, but that is just based on the stores that I visit. They have a nice food court with a good selection of food options. If I get food it is typically from Chick-fil-A. Overall, this mall is nice, clean, and has a good selection of stores. This is a great mall with a little something for everyone. They don't have many high end stores- about the highest end stuff they have is Coach, Bebe and Lucky Jeans. I have a feeling most people here aren't interested in much more than that. Most people would be happy with the variety of stores including: Abercrombie, American Eagle, Apple, Books a Million, Dicks, Disney Store, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, Guess, Hollister, Gymboree, Hot Topic, Lush, PacSun, Spencers and all the major anchors you'd expect. There are two Starbucks but it would have been nice if they'd had a Barnie's Coffee instead. The Food Court had a Five Guys, which is awesome. There were many Asian-type places that all seemed to be serving variations of the same thing (Orange and Bourbon chicken, anyone??). Extra points for having a Great American Cookie Co. Outside there is a Cheesecake Factory and a sampling of other sit down restaurants. The mall is super long- it feels like it's about 1/2 a mile one way. The parking lot is immense and was surprisingly full at 7pm on a Wednesday. The mall has a nice, wide walking path so it didn't feel crowded inside. There are two playgrounds for the kiddies, several fountains with strange looking animal sculptures and an awesome 2 decker carousel. The carousel has unusual animals like pandas and horses with fish tales. All in all a great mall. read more

I could have closed my eyes, drawn a squiggly line, and designed a better parking lot and mall layout than this mall. Really, as every other reviewer has mentioned, the parking here is horrendous. The proximity to another shopping center and the tight spaces and lanes makes the chance of a crash greater than the Autobahn. Once you survive the parking pandemonium, the mall is a short walk away, since the lots are small. But the inside is a little disappointing. While there is a lot of natural light, it just looks so stuck in the 90s and some parts of it look like an airport (and NOT Tampa's). There is a little musty smell in some parts, specifically around JCPenney. My other gripe about this mall is the layout. It isn't on long hallway (UTC), a bunch of walkways with a hub (International Plaza or Countryside), and it isn't even two intersecting hallways (Tyrone). It's literally like some parallel hallways with incredibly tight hubs connecting them. I was so confused. Nonetheless, there are some nice stores here. I'd say its about on par with Countryside in terms of shopping, with almost a mini Bay Street with a Cheesecake Factory and Bahama Breeze. The food court has all of your obligatory restaurants, plus a Five Guys (yay!) and a Chipotle (meh). I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this mall, but if I was in the area and there was nothing else to do, it would be okay. read more

I remember being ridiculously excited when this mall was about to open as I was 11 or 12 and thought I would spend all my teenage time hanging out at the mall a la "Mall Rats" or some such thing. As an adult I have to say I have experienced better. Although the mall has grown with the addition of a new wing recently I find the whole place badly laid out. Many of the stores have a better location in Westshore Mall or International Mall in Tampa. (For example the JC Penney's Store here is ridiculously limited in selection compared to the one in Westshore Tampa.) The mall was designed to be in the middle of a traffic circle so expect a little bit of traffic (or sometimes a LOT of traffic depending on when you go) getting in and out. Parking is plentiful but gets better or worse depending on what store you try to park near. Parking near the new wing is generally a bad choice right now. Park near an old wing and walk around, you'll have better luck in parking spaces that way. read more

If you're a somewhat fashion-conscious female with a shopping addiction but a tight budget, this is a good mall for you. I've been going here since I moved to Tampa a few years ago and I'm always satisfied with the selection of stores and the overall experience. I would call most of the stores cheap to mid-tier quality with a splattering of nice stores, which is good enough for me. If I wanted ridiculously overpriced designer items I would go to International and if I wanted so-cheap-they-fall-apart-upon-washing items I would go to University. Brandon is somewhere in the middle. And despite the affordability, they keep it clean and upscale enough (*cough cough* UNIVERSITY MALL). Previous reviewers are right about parking and traffic. The mall is awkwardly located in between the expressway and the I-75 exit, so it really messes up traffic, especially during rush hour. And during other times, it's like a mini rush hour just to get back on to Route 60/Brandon Blvd. Actually, it is a huge pain to get in and out no matter what direction you are going, and somehow whenever I'm in Brandon but NOT at the mall, I manage to take some random road and still find myself in the mall access road. The parking can get crazy during the holidays, but if you have a truck like I do, you just park on the grass somewhere. Most recently, I parked at what I thought was the closest entrance to the one store I wanted to visit. It turns out, it was the furthest possible entrance. There are no shortcuts here, since certain wings loop around others and only have one entrance that starts at the end of another wing. Mall power walking FTW! I actually like Brandon Mall and will definitely be back again soon. read more

#173 Two stars. This mall probably deserves more but it is a major pain in the butt to shop here. The problems are several and the first isn't even it's fault. This area is under served as far as shopping is concerned. One mall for Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Lithia, Apollo Beach, Ruskin and probably even parts of Tampa. The place is always packed, everyday is like Christmas and Christmas is, I don't come at all. Another problem is the screwy parking layout. It's tough enough to find a space but the one ways make it doubly tough. It's between two major roads, Causeway and Rt 60, not easy to get to or around. On the plus side it has the stores you need and a lot of them. Some nice dining options and a very serviceable Food Court. Hopefully the new mall planned for the Big Bend area in Riverview will relieve the crowding. Since I live in Riverview I'm hoping the new one will have what I need, if not back to Brandon (sigh). read more

I will admit I only have one impression of this mall and the surrounding area, but it's not the best one. It was easy to get to ( from Tampa/Seminole Heights) but it led us to believe there must be nothing much else to do in Brandon. Parking & traffic were a Capital 'N' Nightmare. We did have a few brief moments inside and I was impressed with the size of the mall. The walkways were wide. There was a nice mix of shops & restaurants; but while I had full bars, trying to look anything up on my phone was next to impossible. We have friends that are moving a bit south of here (River View) so I might be back to give it a fair shake, but it will probably be quite some time before I am. read more

First of all, as so many others have noted the entrance and parking situation are not great: the entrance leads you in off 60 and the puts you on a circular drive that I guess goes all around the mall: I parked by Dillard's just as soon as I escaped the circus of traffic and could park, so I don't know what else is going on with the parking, but it looks pretty awful. This mall is also, alas, not very pretty. It's somewhere between middle of the road and upscale in terms of stores but the architecture is truly strange. The food court has odd brick-enclosed pillars, the general enclosed areas are very generic and oddly dark in some parts, and whole layout begs for an explanation. The only one I can think of is that the mall is rather old and has been remodeled too many times without effort given to making it cohesive. The section outdoors where Dick's Sports and some other, larger, stores went in is ok, and I guess newer. I would recommend someone from Westfield go and study the Florida Mall in Orlando, which is a fairly old mall also, to see how an older extant mall can be renovated in a pleasing manner. As someone else noted, there is a strange "rear hallway" for some stores, like I think Apple technically is behind adidas and that area. It's just really weird. They should have built a two-story mall like Altamonte Springs in the first place, then they would have had ample room. That all said, they do have some good stores. There is an adidas store now, an Apple store, United World Soccer which may only matter if you're as insane about soccer as I am, but to me it was a huge draw; their Finish Line is large but not as nice as the Mall at Millenia's, and I could go on. For things I like--sporting goods, sneakers, stuff like that--it's a pretty decent mall. I actually made the decision, being from out of town and limited on free time, to come here instead of International Plaza mainly for the soccer store and they also have a Fly (men's streetwear) store here, though the I-Plaza Fly location is much better. So I guess study the stores they have, study those at I-Plaza, then determine which suits you better, but for a general mall experience there is a lot of "how not to plan and run your mall" examples to be found at Brandon. read more

I like this mall. There are a lot of stores. My favorite store to go to in this mall is Sephora. I go there every time. I also go to Starbucks every time. The food court is okay. There are a bunch of restaurants in the mall and surrounding area, and two separate playgrounds for big kids and small kids. I wish there was a movie theater located inside this mall, but there's not. I can spend hours in this mall. Thankfully, there are a lot of places to sit down and relax. This mall is fun for shopping, or just walking around and looking. read more

4 stars for the mall itself- a lot of great stores that I enjoy. Well laid out, clean. Also a lot of stores on the surrounding perimeter that I can knock out some errands at (Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc). And 1 star for the traffic/parking situation. Holy crap- on a Saturday afternoon, the loop around the mall becomes a giant grid locked traffic jam. Don't expect to get in or out of the mall fast. Funny thing is- there were plenty of parking spots- and the mall itself didn't seem particularly crowded- seemed like everyone in the Bay area was just either coming or going to it. If you're looking for a Mall that has every store imaginable to suit your shopping needs, this place will satisfy your need. In addition, they have almost every type of chain restaurant imaginable to suit any person's tastes. My main gripes about this mall are its ease of access and parking along with layout of the mall since its expansion. Be prepared to hunt for parking or walk a bit if you decide to venture into this place. Took my younger daughter here today to get a little jump on the Christmas shopping. (Am I allowed to say Christmas, or is it not politically correct anymore?) This is a nice mall, quite expansive with a number of quality, well known stores. It is very clean, inside and out. As with some of the other reviews I looked at, parking seems to be a challenge at best, and a potential nightmare at its worst. I will come back here after the holidays and see how it is then. read more
