I can't say enough about Rachel! We were traveling to Hawaii and wanted to find a photographer for our graduating senior. I looked at dozens of photographers and Rachel's posing, beautiful lighting and natural editing techniques caught my eye! Her images were gorgeous. She takes all COVID precautions seriously which we appreciated. My toddler was (understandably) not particularly comfortable in front of a camera, but Rachel was prepared with props and was fun and engaging which made us all feel very comfortable and relaxed. I have used Rachel twice for two different family shoots and I cannot recommend her enough. She is so easy to work and so patient. Our first shoot was in 2021 with my then 2.5 year old and Rachel did such a great job putting my toddler at ease. She was able to get my toddler to laugh and smile and we really enjoyed the session. Being pregnant at the time, she was really able to make us all feel comfortable and relaxed. Our second shoot was in 2022 with 10 people. You would think with a larger group, it would be more difficult, but Rachel handled it like the pro that she is. She went ahead of time to find great locations that would work with our accessibility issues for someone in our party. In addition, she was able to coax out the brightest of smiles from the 5 month old and two 3 year olds in our party. We could not have been more pleased with the results. She was even so kind and thoughtful as to bring a chair to sit on for one of the handicapped individuals in our party in between photos as there was no where for them to rest on the beach. Disclaimer: This is a late review, almost one year overdue! At our first meet up, Rachel was so friendly, and not at all pushy. She was upbeat, energetic, easy to talk to, and I felt like I just clicked with her really well. I did meet with other photographers, but nobody stood out to me more than Rachel, so I booked her for my engagement photos. She was GREAT. My husband and I warned her we were awkward, but she immediately put us at ease with encouragement and we definitely relaxed and started to enjoy our photo session. We did two locations and she went above and beyond to capture the very best each location had to offer. Needless, to say, we loved working with her and she was so talented so we booked her for our wedding day! Our wedding was December 10, 2016, at Hale Koa Hotel. She made the planning process easy, and was responsive through both email and text messages. I will not lie and say that she responds IMMEDIATELY, but to you future brides...understand that all your vendors will have lives of their own too, so be patient in waiting for your responses. Rachel typically replied within a day, or at the very latest two. But, I was so confident in her abilities and trusted her based off our engagement shoot, so I knew she would get back to me as soon as she could and I honestly wasn't too worried.
