Location/Service This place is right on University near Union Station - just a few minutes of a walk from the station itself. It's easier to spot since it's on the ground floor and with big signage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was pleasantly surprised with the interior, much bigger than I anticipated and it had a lot of small tables for people to work or chit-chat. The vibe reminds me of those Korean/Japanese cafes in Asia.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were friendly and orders were done in a quick time. Food/Drinks I tried their ceremonial match drinks, which is imported straight from Japan. So I can taste that it is strong (and real) matcha. The drinks where you go for matcha or hojicha were both great. They also have small bakery items if you're lucky enough that they're not sold out in time. They also have basque cheescakes which adds a nice touch to complement the drink. Overall, with spacious seating, cozy vibes, and aesthetic merch, you've got your next go-to café spot!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty aesthetic spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went during a weekday and it was quiet! Good enough to study or get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They sell ceremonial grade matcha as a drink or the tea for purchase. The matcha basque cheesecake is decadent and goes well with the hojicha and matcha latte.

You know that one Coffee Shop... the one that looks like it could be in a magazine spread? Yeah... I finally went. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brandor Coffee Shop is giving.. if calm had a design aesthetic. Minimal, airy, and smelling like pure happiness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their drinks here especially the Coconut Sea (I am obsessed). Love the Tiramisu and Spinach and Feta Pastry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the interior and so clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff are very welcoming too.

We ordered and tried their coffee (pour over), cappuccinos, and tea - all taste good! Tried their bake goods, also good as well! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cafe has a modern, minimalist look.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer service is good. Although this cafe is on the pricier end compared to other simple coffee places. But this is expected if you want better quality coffee.

Brandor is located at a convenient spot in the downtown core. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is an aesthetic space, almost like an art gallery, with various clothes, mugs, and art available for purchase.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a good amount of seating and free wi-fi, making this a great choice to get some work or studying done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the West Coast & Oolong drinks. The West Coast was like a sparkling latte - I'm not sure I would order this again, but maybe some would like the fizziness. The Oolong tasted kind of like a bubble tea - would love a hot version of this as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not sure if they could provide a bit more insulation as areas near the door were quite cold, but otherwise this is a great space![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Brandor Coffee is located near the intersection of University and King where they serve up a classic espresso drinks, creative tea drinks (think oolong, coconut lattes, etc.), as well as non-caffeinated drinks (cinnamon black tea, matcha latte, sea salt pomelo, lychee summer, etc.). They also offer pastries and baked goods as well which are on display at the front near the cashier. The cafe also sells clothing, cups, candles, and other coffee accessories and gear you can bring home. I stopped by Brandor Coffee on their opening day at the end of Oct (Oct 29th to be exact!). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is minimalistic with concrete/grey tones throughout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of seating if you'd like to enjoy your coffee there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I entered, I immediately was greeted by at least 8 staff who were standing around waiting for customers. It was somewhat uncomfortable but they probably wanted to make sure there was enough staff just in case there were too many customers. I opted for a flat white which was made at a reasonable time. Coffee wise, it was not comparable to the other coffee shops in the area (you can totally get a better flat white elsewhere). I found the coffee to be average and was disappointed. Overall, friendly service but if you're looking for great coffee go elsewhere.

Another brand new coffee shop on University! It's their soft opening week and as a cafe hopper, I had to try especially when it's just minutes away from the office. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is clean, bright and sleek.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the flat white (classic blend) and it was ready within a minute. Since it's soft opening, it felt like they were not too used to having customers. Some of them were nervous but hopefully they can keep up with the crowd later on! The drink was smooth and nice. The prices are on the pricer side, but decent quality!

New coffee shop by king and university! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The aesthetic of this cafe is stunning. With a black and white tone and very modern looking appeal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee is amazing! I had the green plum americano and it didn't disappoint. The coffee shop has its own brand of clothing bags and accessories. As their logo stated, coffee is a lifestyle [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is amazing and the space is so spacious![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I can't remember the name of the latte I got but it was delicious! It had a coconut cream I believe and was the perfect amount of sweet. The pistachio croissant was also delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside is pretty spacious with a very artsy aesthetic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say, I didn't find the staff to be super friendly but food wise I'd recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The coffee shop is clean and their coffee are amazing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They even have their clothing line and tote bags! Oolong coffee is great with the after taste of the tea.

Randomly walked by it today and pleasantly surprised! A bit pricy, but maybe it's the standard pricing in the downtown core? However, the quality was great so I'd come again as a treat vs. my every day cafe. Ordered the oolong latte which I HIGHLY recommend. I love oolong but have never seen it offered with espresso (which I also really love). Itbtasted complex with familiar flavours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was very modern. If Z Zegna opened a cafe spinoff, this would be it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was a bit slow so I would caution to come if you have time to relax and enjoy vs. rushing off to your next destination.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute aesthetic spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]lots of seating and it wasn't crowded (probably because of the weather).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the slightly pricier side but still worth a visit to have a coffee, a chat, and check out their home and lifestyle decor options from tea cups to tote bags and more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They even offer gelato if you're craving something sweet :)

    Clean minimalistic shop.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]New, very clean, all "black and white" coffee shop with a few different coffees and teas but with uncomfortable chairs[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . As I'm sitting here writing this review, I just updated from 4 to 5 stars because their espresso has a crazy good caffeine kick. Im now flying! so if you need a caffeine and I highly recommend this place I had the West Coast which is a two shots espresso with soda or tonic and a little sweetener. I couldn't understand the cashier how she described it. But it's not too sweet and tasted fine. I think it could use a few drops of orange bitters or orange zest. I think all lattes are only 8oz and double shots. They also sell "stuff". I don't understand why they also want to be a shop selling candles and t shirts. I'm not going to go out of my way to return here, the drink was good, but it cannot compare to Mofer Coffee across the street which is the best in Toronto! The best part of this place may be it's open till 7:00! Yes, if you come early or before 8:30; their $6 breakfast combo looks like a good deal

First off they carry the Lamp Berger products (lamps/fragrance holders). These are a French based company going back to the early 1900s and so lovely to look at it! I saw quite a few places selling them in Paris and I just loved to look at the pretty bottles so I was happy to discover I could buy one here! So many designs from the streamlined to the blingy. Think of large perfume bottle type of shapes. They are expensive but I heard the liquid you buy lasts quite a long time. They had 3 liquid bottles for $20 which I think is a great deal considering most of the lamps are about $50-$100 here depending on the size/design but it's a functional as well as decorative piece. There are the typical Yankee Company candles sold here as well as some really unique candle holders. The owner is really friendly and she has a lot of knowledge about the products sold.

It was a nice activity and the instructor shared some basic candle knowledge with us. Sadly, it's not as hands on as I thought. You first smell the scents on the pre-set sticks, pick three, glue the wick on, mix three pre-measured scent bottles into the pre-poured hot wax, mix, pour into candle jar and wait. I could probably have done this is in 15 min. Majority of the class is the instructor describing the scents, explaining the different notes, teaching how to burn candles, selling things to add on, etc. We then spent another 20-30 min just waiting for the candle to set. I have been to other candle, soap, perfume making classes that were more hands-on. So maybe this felt very beginner. My candle also set funny (sunk in) and I think the wax they provided was clumpy. I did a diy candle making kit at home and it set so nicely so not sure what happened here. I did their glowness lab which is a little more expensive because it "incorporate essential oils, colour therapy and the healing power of crystals". The color therapy meant different color jars to pick from and the crystals were an additional $10 to purchase. With the 50% off it came to $62 for the class. I had fun because it was with a friend but I don't think I would really recommend this or come back. It's borderline worth it for $60, definitely not for $120.

I recently attended one of their candle-making workshops as part of a team activity for work and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The instructor was easy to follow, and had a good balance between giving detailed instructions and letting us work independently. She kept the pace steady, without boring us, and was good at keeping everyone engaged. For the workshop, we made two full-sized candles (10 oz jars) and six votives (2 oz jars). All the necessary tools and equipment were provided, including aprons, gloves, and even paper and pencils for notes. There was an impressive variety of scents to choose from, as well as colored jars for the votives, which made it feel very customizable and creative. The workshop costs $90 per person, but if you book from Monday to Thursday, you get 25% off and a free DIY kit to take home. I chose the soap-making kit, which was a lovely bonus. I mean, who doesn't love when things exceed their expectations? This hands-on experience was a blast, and I got to create some amazing bath bombs from scratch with the fabulous team at Yummi Candles. Every detail was spot on: snacks? Check! Drinks? Double check! And let's talk about the genius Yelp swag--a combo snack tray and cup with a boba straw! I mean, who doesn't want to carry snacks and drinks in one hand while crafting? It's a game changer. They even thought of us bag ladies (you know who you are) by providing purse storage for those of us who showed up with oversized bags that could basically double as luggage. Seriously, I needed that extra table space for all the bath bomb magic we were creating! Now, I have to admit, we were so busy mixing and molding that we didn't snap any pictures. But no stress--Yelp had a photographer on hand to capture our fun moments. The timing was perfect, too: 3-4 PM on a Sunday in the beautiful Distillery District. It was just an hour long, leaving us plenty of time to explore the Distillery District, grab a bite and head home to mentally prepare for the workweek ahead. And let's not forget the swag bag we received at the end, packed with more Yelp goodies and a sweet 10% discount on Yummi Candles products which I used that same day. Their store doesn't just carry candles; they also have reed diffusers, incense, and other delightful fragrance-related gifts. I couldn't resist and picked up a reed diffuser! Honestly, it was the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon! I'm already eyeing their candle-making workshops as my next adventure. Can't wait to go back!

They all looked leafy and healthy. The succulents caught my eye. They were cute and I didn't have any until I picked up four of them. My original thought was to get more air plants. Sadly, this store only had fake ones. I found that to be interesting. I saw a Venus fly trap. I've always wanted one ever since I learned about it in grade two. It was going for $30, which was more than all four plants that I purchased. Maybe next time! This store had cool vases and misters. They were on the pricier side, so I didn't get any. I had the nicest woman at the checkout. She was trying various codes to get me the best deal, which I appreciated. I paid with a debit card. She carefully placed all my plants in a paper bag. She let me know that she'd staple the bag, to make sure that my plants were safe and warm. I appreciated her extra care. I got my receipt texted to me, to save a bit of paper. I thanked her and happily left the store with my new succulents. They are cute and still alive! I am about to repot them because their roots are poking out of their respective tiny pots. These succulents are a cheerful addition. I parked on a side street. It's one-hour of free parking. I ended up parked for nearly three hours. My car was still there and I did not get a parking ticket. Otherwise, if you can nab a parking spot along Queen Street West, it's Green P parking. I enjoyed my experience at Chive.
