I tried using Google Maps to find The Brick Room, but it wasn't very helpful. Turns out the café is right along the path and I could've easily walked straight out of Union Station since it's right next to that entrance. The space itself has a really niche aesthetic and I especially loved the unique window design. I arrived around 10 a.m. and the café was busy but not overwhelming, with a steady flow of people coming and going. I ordered one of their winter specials: an iced matcha with black sesame foam. It was pricey at $10, but honestly one of the best I've ever had. They instruct you to sip the foam first before mixing, and the flavours were bold with just the right amount of sweetness. The service was incredible. They actually brought my drink over, which I wasn't expecting, and when we were done they came by with water and cleared our empty cups. Such a pleasant surprise! All in all, highly recommend this spot. I would come by all the time if I lived nearby. read more

I come to the Brick Room a concerning amount of times. They have two locations: Brookfield and Temperance. It's my pick me up during work hours. They take their time, give attention to their craft. It's not a place you grab and go. You need to truly appreciate it but sitting down and letting the baristas come to you, explain how to consume the coffee drink and then enjoy it. The brick room's interior is covered with red bricks and fun fact - red bricks are great to keep rooms cooler during summer and warmer during winters! Came here after all the social media hype of their banana bread matcha latte. It's located inside of the Path and the vibes are immaculate. They have an all red interior and wasn't too busy during lunch time. Drinks here are expensive though, but I can understand why, especially with their specialty ingredients. Here's what we got: Banana bread matcha latte 4/5 - It's more sweet than I'd like and really tasted like a delicious banana bread. However, couldn't taste much matcha. I loved the toppings on this drink though - full of banana flavour. Ube matcha latte 4/5 - Beautiful purple colour of the ube matched with the vibrant green matcha. The cookie crisp on the top of this was so delicious, crispy and paired perfectly with the drink. It's again a tad sweet for my liking but overall still amazing! Amazing location for a sit down coffee to get some work done or to chat with friends/have a professional conversation. This is one of the better coffee shops to visit when downtown. I'm not too great at directions so I got lost trying to find it in the basement. It is easily walkable from Union Station which is a huge bonus for me. I got the Americano and it was delicious. My friend got the latte and would also highly recommend it. I'd want to come back and try some of their seasonal drinks. The barista was very observant and offered us water at our table after we had finished the coffee. The furniture is modern and comfortable. The coffee shop has good lighting, but for the laptop users, I didn't see an outlet. read more

Came for Matcha Creme de Banane. Yes a bit hefty $ for this but it does have a small caramelized banana, banana chips, and crumble. The staff tells you how to enjoy it best before you take the cup away from the counter. Overall good experience, friendly staff, a bit of a wait but not bad. Taste is good for $. Value - likely subjective. I personally feel mine had too much ice. I will try to ask for less ice next time. They carry Hatch coffee beans so I'm all for coming back and try their coffee next time. read more

Friendly Staff for sure. Ambience wise, I think the lighting could be better, yet it is a spacious place. It is a very convenient place since it is next to union station. Again, it is a bit pricey for the portion size. This is like a place, if I want to go treat myself, I could come here. They also have a seasonal menu as it seems. Everyone's been obsessed with Banana Matcha I tried the Matcha Ceremony drink from the brick room and it has a banana pudding on top (reminds me of magnolia bakery) with some banana chips and peanut garnish. This was approx $13 after tax and it was only 14oz. While the pudding and topping part is enjoyable, I didn't like the matcha. It tasted kinda like grass and there was a grainy taste. Most importantly it was 90% ice so I honestly thought for the value of the drink. It's not worth it for me. Also I ordered the same drink with my friend but before her, and somehow she got her drink before me while I had to wait for 5 other orders till I got my drink. read more

I've tried the murasaki matcha which is a matcha base with purple potato cream top and the limited time reina con flow which has a strawberry caramel milk base and espresso cloud top, topped with a tres leche cake. I came here specifically for the Ube latte. I have to say that it was delicious. Some of their drinks look like it's best consumed on-site, as the case was with the ube latte because it came with a wafer of sorts that hardly made it back to my office. This is such a cute cafe tucked away in the Path. I love the vibe - it's hip and cool, I feel like I could take a photo of any corner of the cafe and it'd look aesthetically pleasing. Decided to try the Murasaki Matcha because I'm a huge matcha fan and it was a super interesting drink. The purple potato cream top was actually yummy and their matcha is nice and green. The location is right at the entrance of PATH between Union Station and Brookfield place. My new favourite coffee spot when visiting Toronto! A bit tricky to find (particularly if you're from out of town or not used to the PATH underground), but well worth the search. If you're entering from street level you need to take an escalator down and then head towards the entrance for the subway/ union. Surprising warm and cozy vibe for its location. The staff are amazing, kind, attentive and came to check to see how things were. The owner was also there and is obviously very passionate about the quality. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and a pistachio croissant. They were all out of almond croissants by the time I got there (9am) and can see why as their pastries are great. Coffee was fantastic. The beans they use a really nice quality, but I admit I am not a particularly big coffee drinker so I probably don't appreciate it as others would. They also have coffee beans for sale. I stopped by The Brick Room during their opening day. I ordered a flat white which was made at a reasonable time and tasted great. I did sit for a while to enjoy my coffee. I found it to be a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the PATH. Overall, great vibes, friendly service, and delicious coffee. This coffee shop is nicely located along the PATH on your way to work in Brookfield right beside the TTC at Union station. The atmosphere of the cafe is very modern with a few tables and seats for customers to enjoy their coffee and pastry. They use hatch coffee beans which are made in locally in Markham and they use my favorite whole milk from Sheldon's creek - which is great for all my lactose intolerant people (I find that I don't react to this milk at all even though I'm lactose intolerant). They open very early for all those early commuters. I got here on a Monday morning just past 7am with no line up and enjoyed a latte at the cafe. The service was great, I changed my order from to go to enjoy at the cafe. The barista came by to give me a cup of water, which was very kind and attentive of him. I would definitely come back to try their signature coffee and pour over the next time I'm around. I would recommend anyone roaming the path to give this place a try! read more

Great service and ambiance. Coffee is nicely roasted. I would suggest a latte over mocha I ordered, the chocolate taste is very faint. Mocha is lightly sweetened, not be try sweet.
