It may not be the mom and pop business that Dan was, but you still get the personalized customer service. My garage opener had been making some noises and finally the chain snapped. I called Anytime and they were able to get me scheduled the next day. My appointment was later in the day and life happens. The appointment before me was taking longer and they called to let me know and reschedule me. My life is flexible, so I took the first appointment for that Friday. That morning, I got a courtesy call letting me know that they were on the way and that Jacob would be my tech. When he arrived, he introduced himself and shook my hand (that is something you don't see everyday). We went into the garage, he saw how old my opener was (20 years) and explained my options. He went into great detail on the differences between the different openers. I asked a few questions and he answered in layman's terms that someone like me could comprehend. I made my choice and he said it would take about an hour to install. I'm one of those peps, I looked at my watch. When he was finished, it was an hour, almost to the minute. He cleaned up after himself and you couldn't even tell that work had been done in my garage. I love my new LiftMaster garage door opener. It is quiet and runs smoothly, like a soft close drawer. My Experience with Upper Deck Roofing - A Cautionary Review…read more In April 2025, I hired Upper Deck Roofing after positive reviews and confirming they were a preferred Owens Corning contractor. I paid my deposit on 4/2. Shortly after they raised the price due to a measurement error, which I accepted. The first roof install occurred on 4/24--but I immediately noticed problems. They had improperly reinstalled my TruGuard gutter system by nailing it directly through the new shingles. Initially, Jake Calvert (owner) denied it. Only after I showed video proof did they acknowledge it. Owens Corning and TruGuard later confirmed in writing this method was improper and damaging. I was told it voided warranty coverage. Jake shifted blame, claiming a vague email was warning enough. A rep from their team admitted they should've told me to have the guards removed. After legal pressure, & refusing to sign a doc waiving consumer rights, a second full roof tear-off and new system install occurred on 5/28. The final roof looks good--but getting there involved months of denial, pressure, and emotional stress. This process cost me peace of mind, time off work, and trust. I'm sharing so others go in with eyes wide open. Video available. Proceed with caution.
