Nothing but consistenly falling off line. When it was impossible, I phoned "HP" to see if it could be repaired. I spoke to the "support line" and via my cell gave permission to access the printer. The guy really seems to know his stuff! And lo and behold he got it back online and printing. He said he would call me the next night to see if all was well. I really did not know because I didnt need to print anything. But he said he was calling back to check, so I figured I should test it iut before he calls! Lo and behold, the printer is totally dead. The man whi initially helped was, of course, Indian. I called "HP support" and a different man answered who couldn't transfer me to my "guru guy ." I tell him the printer is now dead so he asks camera permission to watch me unplug/re-plug, and unplug the printer. He is satisfied and said he'd send a "new printer" but it must be the same printer. He goes through this litany about how i will use the same bix to return the dead printer. But here is where these scammers fail. He tells me i have to pay $1.00 for processing. "Excuse me...a company the ilk kf HP wants a dollar?" l get angry at this point that I have trusted the super nice Indian man from HP. So I get the return phone call from Guru man. I tell him about this inane convo and he asked for a dollar on a CC! Guru guy agrees and says "yes that's really ridiculous. I tell him guy #2 actually wanted to send fhe same model (which I finally got him to tell me it is refurbished, but he agreed instantly it would be brand new). Guru says no no I will srnd you a new upgraded printer. I'm at this point where I realize this is not legit. So I call another "HP Suppkrt number. This time it is a lady. I tell her about the $1 deal and SHE says "oh yes, that is not unusual to ask for $1 I yell at her how she and her cohorts are scammers and they will be reported." Word spread to guru man the jig was up. Still, he calls again and I don't answer and block the number, which came through incidentally on caller ID the first 2 letters of this scam company is actually "ID." Be aware if you are an HP customer. Though I specified all 3 of the contacts were Indian, I am not racist against any person, regardless of nationality, skin color, etc. I know so many lovely people who we have met in our travels. But these scammers of Indian descent are giving a black eye to the many wonderful people who are honest, warm people. I may be close to 80 yrs old but I still have some wits about me. Be suspicious! These people were gentle and polite. Pay close attention.

In March 2024 I contracted with NB Services to replace the carpet on my stairs and all rooms on the…read moresecond floor. I replaced the carpet with vinyl plank flooring. They provided a list of all materials needed. When I went to the store to purchase the flooring, the sales person suggested using Cap A Tread for the stair nose versus the metal listed by NB Services. We called the owner of NB Services to ask to have the Cap A Tread used and was told they have always installed the metal and they have never installed the Cap A Tread. Having never had stairs done before, I decided to go with the metal. After having the metal nose installed, I realized I don't like it because it feels unsafe and I'm very uncomfortable on my stairs. I contacted NB Services to ask to have the stairs redone with something different, they first stated there would be an additional charge for having them change it. I was quite confused because initially I was told they only knew the one way to do them, yet they were asking me for pics of the stairs. Still thinking they were willing to work with me, I sent pics three times and, to date, I still have not heard back from NB Services. NB Services cannot be trusted to do the work to the customer's satisfaction and are not dependable.

I used the Yelp project assistant feature and after a short while, I received contact from Ron, via the Key Carpet Yelp business page. Ron quickly filled me in regarding his 45 years experience in carpeting repair and then reviewed some photos I sent him to get a better picture of my situation. Ron quoted me $400 for the job, using the extra carpeting material I had on hand and offered to come the very next day, Friday mid morning. Ron gave me several assurances he'd handle whatever situation was present and not to give it any more worry. I appreciated his confidence and stated flexibility regarding the job conditions and his intention to just get it done. Ron is old school and not a Prima-donna. On a prompt arrival, Ron and his helper Brayson moved our kids bed out of the way, tore out the old carpeting, filthy tack strips, and treated the area with an odor neutralizer before jumping into the installation. The whole job took almost exactly 3 hours from arrival to departure. Ron & Brayson were true beasts in knocking out the job! I'm currently unclear whether this was a referral from Key Carpet to Lenderman Flooring, or Key Carpet employees themselves... but I'm a satisfied customer either way.

While the company was easy to communicate with prior to the work being done we had a huge hiccup during the actual work. While planning to sell our home we were also in the process of moving 4,500 miles away. We had multiple businesses coming to our home on certain days to do their specific jobs (cleaning, staging, photographing, open house etc). I was told several times exactly how long the installation of the carpeting should take and based all other appointments on what I had been told. While on a trip I received a call telling me the installation would take another few days, which was simply unacceptable. Thankfully, Key Carpet was able to pull employees from another job to finish ours on time. This whole process caused an extreme amount of stress and headaches. While we were happy with how the new carpeting looked, it was definitely not the smoothest process.
