    The take-out dine-in hot table.
    Gary M.

This is a very cool one-off deli/grocery/restaurant spot located in Mississauga. It has an awesome hot table that serves a variety of lunch & dinner meals such as German Schnitzel, sausage, potato pancakes, soups, etc. All tasty & bad for you cause it's mostly all fried! It's also a full service deli, bakery & German Import grocery store maned by lots of older German & Polish ladies! It has a great selection of all imported & seemingly first quality products. The only downside I see about the grocery area is most everything is relabelled. I think it's just to add English, otherwise this very busy location is constantly churning with lots of older traditional German customers. If you're in the area, make it a point to go to the quirky little location...you won't be disappointed the foods delicious!!

Well...my first time here today...shame on me. Enjoyed the huge variety of European foods, especially the selection of German meats. The hot food corner was stellar with a giant selection of some of the best meals I've seen in a while. Come check this place out. Pics of lunch attached. Kassler with potato salad.

I made the trip to Brandt Meats to grab a blood sausage (the one that is used to make a hot entree) as they make them in the factory which is part of the larger building. These sausages are not available just anywhere in Canada, so I decided to treat my dad by FedExing one of them to him out west where supply is spotty. Great German import store overall, with its long aisles chock full of Teutonic tastiness, and as well anything from over there that you can't get here. Germans love their Persil laundry detergent and will buy expensive boxes full of that stuff, for example. Probably the most impressive area is the meat counter, naturally. It goes on forever and full of smoked meats and sandwich type sausage meat which is sliced and enjoyed on pumpernickel or crisp bread. They have some cheese too, although it isn't a cheese shop and due to federal laws most cheeses are not allowed to be imported into Canada from other countries. Anything canned seems to be OK to import though, so if it fits in a can, Brandt Meats will have it. Herring is hugely popular. The other area to check out is the hot table. It appears to be very worthwhile, and a nice change from the usual Italian hot tables scattered around the city. Sausage and Sauerkraut FTW!!

I used to do deliveries in my college days here and grab a meal from the hot table. The food used to be fantastic. Maybe my age but the schnitzels here not as good as they used to be. There are some good options but I feel if you don't shhpeak zee German you get the smaller portion. Little pricey for what you get.

It looks like they're closed on Sundays & Mondays!

This is a cute lil' grocery store to check out even if you're not into sausages and other deli meats. (I try to refrain 'cause of the content of nitrites.) It sorta reminds me of a quaint version of Starsky! I'm not really a fan of German food like stinky/strong cheese, sauerkraut, or pretzels (soft/hard, ick!), but this place is worth checking out for imported EE foods like Sprats (yum!), Latvia's answer to sardines, numerous condiments, and reasonably priced chocolate!!! According to the other reviews, this place has a German-produced Nutella which is supposed to be "different" than North American stuff. I can't really comment on this 'cause I'm not a fan of Nutella either, but I have definitely seen it there!

Best sausage I tried anywhere in the GTA. The hot bar during lunch hour was excellent and cheap too.

As I made my way over to Eddie's from the Wisła Deli, I marveled at how similar this area of…read moreMississauga is to parts of Warsaw. Signs on establishments in Polish and the style of buildings transported me back to my days living in the southern neighborhood of Warsaw. I had a little more time to spend shopping for Polish goodies before I had to head on to my next stop, so I decided that I was going to make it to Eddies Meat and Deli. BEST DECISION EVER. If you saw my review of Wisła, you know that this trip was on Holy Thursday, and just as before this place was PACKED. The lines to order meat (fresh or deli) were long as was the check out line. But we'll get to that. As I walked in, I was immediately struck with the larger assortment of products. I found my beloved Almette spread, and was willing to pay a high price no matter what because it is so difficult to obtain when I'm back at home. As I was scanning the dairy case, I came across Mlekovita's packaged Gołka cheese. For those who want to be accurate, this isn't oscypek, but it was close enough for me. The salty, smoked, "squeaky" cheese is a treat I haven't had in years. I took four packages.. I threw a couple of other items into my basket, and then hopped in line to check out. I didn't get any of the pastry items, but they looked so good, and I'm sure if I was local, I'd be ordering far too often. When I got to the counter, I asked the young girl to get me some krem oliwkowy from the cosmetics shelf behind the register. I was very excited to see the ziaja product in the small green pot. This cream has a scent that evokes a sense of nostalgia for me, but it is so rich and nourishing and it was a favorite of mine that I haven't had in years. I ordered once on amazon for a ridiculous price that I couldn't justify. So to see it here made my day. I checked out speedily - there is something to say for Polish efficiency, and even got a free Wawel chocolate bar. I would definitely say that the staff here are must more friendly than in the other store I visited. It made for a much more pleasant experience. Currently (April 2025), there is a lot of construction going on on Dundas Street, so I highly recommend using the side street at the light to access the back parking area. It is much easier especially if you need make a left turn out onto Dundas.

We initially saw huge, gorgeous danishes, rolls & bread that had self serve tongs & bags. We got a cherry cheese & a blueberry cheese danish - so big each needed its own brown paper (lunch sized) bag. Super yummy, loaded with sweetened cheese & fruit. Makes me regret not getting the apple one too! Then we walked back to the hot food area. To the left were dozens of sausage links hung up behind a deli case full of slice to order cold cuts. A big menu of smoked meats, ribs, cabbage rolls, etc., was in front of us. Then we saw what I can only compare to my childhood memory of Stouffers french bread pizzas. We got one of each - mushroom & cheese and ham & cheese, warmed up. They warmed them for us - the light crispy french bread & both flavors were delicious! We also got a garlicky spinach feta & a pork crepe. These were hefty! Thin crepes with filling & rolled compactly. Both were so yummy! We also got some self-serve bulk pickles that were fantastic. We would have gotten some bags of frozen blueberry or cherry or meat pierogis too, but we had too far to drive to keep them frozen. Everyone we spoke with here was so friendly. They had tons of delicious looking cheeses, meats, jarred spreads & pickles, and other condiments, as well as Polish candies. This is a GREAT place for groceries, a quick meal, or to prepare a meal at home. Loved it here!!

They do sometimes run out of their meat items but last time they made fresh Burger patties for me while I waited. The croissants are nice but have already gone up in price since they opened just a couple of months ago. The hot table has tasty items but they don't seem to change the variety very often and it's usually sold out and not replenished towards the last 2 hours that they are open. They do not carry everything that bigger stores carry and this is frustrating as I often have to go to another store after shopping here. Staff are friendly and store is clean and eating area/patio are tidy.

There's a small lot just West of the store OR parking garage just located kiddie corner to the store, attached to the small lot. First, I'm not 100% sold on Farm Boy - maybe it's because it was purchased by Sobey's and I do not get the comparison to Trader Joe's...of which I'm a HUGE fan of. (Personally, a better comparison would be Whole Foods with more emphasis on produce.) However, this area desperately NEEDED a grocery store especially with all the new Brightwater community which is partially built already. This particular store is maybe 1/4 of the size of the Etobicoke location and definitely smaller than the Oakville one. It's fairly small, but I think it carries all the essentials. And there are some cheaper items, namely the bakery stuff, which brings in the customers. I must say that Hot Bar looked REALLY good and fresh! I hope there are enough customers to keep the turnover rate up. This area also NEEDS prepared/to-go food with the demographics there. Overall, this Farm Boy offers a nicer grocery shopping experience. Only time will tell whether or not they continue to do well! P.S. They don't sell any beer/wine at this location, BUT...they're opening up an LCBO at the other end of the plaza.
