What I love most about reviews is, different strokes for different folks- I say it all the time. The reviews are such trash for this Brandy Melville which I find amusing. I recently began working in the area and have started to slowly venture out to try and get in some part of my regular mid day walks. I searched maps for "shopping" to try and get a feel for what's around and Brandy Melville was one of the selections that caught my interest. The store is small, yes and it's fully stocked - every last square inch. I felt the pricing was totally reasonable/affordable and did notice the one size sizing which is interesting but works for some pieces. I tried on a few items that I didn't love but ultimately snagged the perfect little knit American Flag sweater just in time for Memorial Day weekend. Service was excellent! All the girls working here were totally sweet and helpful. I'll definitely be popping in from time to time. In fact, I just stopped in this week and spotted other cute sweaters - this may be a new go to sweater spot for me. In terms of parking, I walked from my office so I have no clue what the parking situation is like since it was totally non applicable in my case. read more

I had a lovely time here yesterday. I really enjoy their jewelry section and wanted some earrings that interlock instead of using a rubber backing. My hair tends to pull those out so my boyfriend joined me to get some...As soon as I entered, one of the young ladies welcomed me in and I said thank you very much. I went to the back to look at the earrings and had a question about them. I got the attention of a young lady who was folding clothes in the back, and she gladly helped me look for a certain pair that I was interested in. They didn't have it, but she apologized and said to come back and check in again. When I was ready to check out a nice lady noticed that I was standing at the counter and came over to help me check out. We talked and had a sweet conversation while she was packaging up my jewelry. She even took the time to color code them when she put them into the baggies. Overall, I feel like if you want respect from people, you have to give respect first. These ladies that run the store are very respectful and kind if you don't walk in and give them an attitude. Not that this makes a difference, but I am black and these women showed me the upmost respect and kindness when I went shopping there yesterday. I like to show people kindness from the get-go and they definitely delivered a lovely shopping experience for me. I will definitely come back for more earrings and necklaces! read more

I consistently find great quality clothing here at a good price. The clothes are made in Italy, soft, comfy and casual. I'm sad to see people hate on this store just because they have chosen to simplify their sizing. It's true I'm on the petite side, but for those who are mad at this store, I must say that shopping at other stores is very stressful for me because things are too big. If it fits my waist then I have to go hem it because it's for a girl that's 5'11" Shopping at BM for me is an stress-free and happy experience for once. Don't small people get to have a store? And before you say, "All stores are small people stores!" think, because my experience as a small person is that it's easier to be heavy in this world of shopping than it is to be short sometimes. To be able to walk into BM and know that I can just run through and grab stuff and know it will fit and be cute helps me so much with the anxiety that comes along with shopping. Love this store!! Two whole stars for the tiniest Brandy I've had the misfortune of stepping into. So if you don't already know, this brand and shop is known for extreme rude staff and the weirdest sizing of clothing. Each clothing item comes in one size- one shirt will only come in xs/s and another will be an xl. It's unbranded and will often look like items you'd find in a hip thrift shop. And yes, the line is geared to super skinny tall girls. That being said, my daughter loves this brand. We normally shop at the store in Glendale at Americana. We also go to the one in Irvine Spectrum in we're down in OC. Both of those stores are huge in comparison to this one. Better variety of clothing and accessories. This Westwood shop is tiny AF, so there's obviously going to be less items in stock. But SIGNIFICANTLY fewer accessories/jewelry. Parking kind of sucks- street parking if you're lucky, an expensive lot, or getting validated at Whole Foods are your closest options. Customer service was surprisingly decent compared to what I've come to expect at any Brandy, but not good enough to ever come back unless I was literally in the Villate for something else. If you're looking to do some serious Brandy shopping, do yourself a favor and trek out to one of the bigger stores! read more

The customer service on 08/01/2021 at this store ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL. I walked in with every intention of spending money and buying my 2 daughters clothes, but from start to finish our experience was complete trash. As soon as we walked in... not one person said "hello". They all looked like they hated being at their jobs. I couldn't ask for help without them giving a very obnoxious sigh as if I was bothering them. The lady at the register was the worst!!! Stood behind the counter saying absolutely nothing. When I was ready to check out still said nothing just started ringing things up. By that time even my 12 year had noticed the complete lack of effort by the employees. The clothes are cute, but they don't have enough size variety. So if you're small or extra small you'll find cute clothes, but for most other sizes you'll just end up feeling bad about yourself. I go ucla and find out they had brandy so I was so excited about that part so I went brandy but the thing was when i entered the store every girl worker was doing their own job just looked at me ,my friend when we entered but didn't say hello or anything just ignored . I always saw the jokes about brandy employees being rude, snobby , judgements teenage girls... but that never held true for me, until today. I go to to UCLA and Brandy is super close by. I went to buy a shirt and some accessories . Today when I went the employee was SO RUDE. I was next in line and she literally grabbed the item out of my hands. Not grabbed but SNATCHED. No "hello" or no greeting. Said the total, threw my stuff into the bad and then handed it to me. No thank you or anything. I don't get why she was being so rude to customers. They need better training for their employees they all have bad entitled attitudes The actual store is really small but they have a decent selection. Horrible! I ordered my daughter an oversized sweatshirt for Christmas and after only a few times of use and not even two months later, the zipper separated from the sweatshirt in multiple places. I emailed the company and they told me there is nothing they can do as it has been over 30 days. My reply was "so basically you don't stand by the quality of your clothing?" They hacked my bank account and stole $150 out of it!!! Haven't even got the clothes yet, if I even will. 100/10 will not recommend. Be careful y'all and check your bank account. My 12yo has fully been sucked into the cult of Brandy Melville. From my observation, not her words, she wants BE Brandy Melville, whoever she is. To me, looking at the Instagram ads she shows me, that chick shops at thrift stores and is badly in need of a few tacos. She is also wearing the same clothes I sported in high school - the ones in the back of the closet that I pulled out on weekends to help my dad wash the car. That wasn't wasn't fashion. It was utility. Before my daughter spied Brandy's little nook, we stopped by American Vintage, which I didn't know was American Vintage. We just turned the corner and saw some clothes racks and poked inside. First thing we saw were some faded tie-dyed hoodies. Adorable. My style and hers. Then I saw the price: $20? And on a shelf above that, some cartoon Converse kicks for $18. I noticed the heel was slightly worn. Oh so this was a consignment store? We scooped up a couple of other items and left happy with our purchase. Which was the perfect sedgeway to her seeing Brandy Melville, all lit up across the street. She practically wanted to run over there, but some man mistook me for Michelle Obama and kissed my hand. She knew and I knew when we got there that I wasn't going to walk out of a store where we got worn-out cute clothes for $20 and pay three times as much for some top because Brandy was looking at us. The first thing we noticed was that it smelled like a Thai restaurant in there. The girls kept chatting and drinking their overpriced pressed juices behind the counter. One got on a computer, squinting. Doing inventory? Who cares? They are clearly there to promote a "look" and ring you up when you don't know any better than to buy into this nonsense. I bought a very soft, attractive shirt for my daughter in a department store and decided to buy more like it, in other colors, online. I purchased 5 shirts and received only 4. (And 3 of the 4 that I did receive looked like they has been through the wringer.) I called the company to let them know and an employee that sounded about 12 told me that I had to photograph the mailing invoice and email it to the store. The email that I had bounced back. Why am I having to work so hard to fix THEIR mistake? I originally posted the above review with 2 stars but when I went back online to again try to resolve the problem I noticed that the missing shirt is longer in stock so I think it is likely that they KNEW that they were not sending me the shirt even though their paperwork said they were. I originally though this was an error followed by substandard customer service. I now suspect this was more likely fraud followed by substandard customer service. **** And now for my next edit to this review. I'm sorry I can't bring it down another star. In trying to calculate the amount of refund due to me, I found that they over charged me for sales tax by 2 cents. I have died and gone to italian clothing heaven. They have locations all over Europe and much to my delight, just opened their Westwood store a couple days ago. Every piece in this store is adorable - tops, tanks, dresses, skirts, I wanted to buy everything! The tags are so cute, everything has the price is Euros, but fortunately, we're getting 1 to 1 exchange here. YAY! Jesse is the owner, very sweet and very willing to give you advice on what you're picking out and explaining how it can be worn, etc. If you're into simple, chic, cotton clothing, this is your store. The prices are pretty reasonable too, ranging from $10 for a simple tank to $60 for some dresses. They even make their own fabric!! I highly recommend Brandy Melville. I would say I'm a Brandy Melville addict. I have been to 8 out of 12 Brandy Melville in California. I'm from NorCal but came down to SoCal for vacation. I personal wish the the company wasn't "one size fits most". Which is about a size small. Because I'm am larger than a size small/extra small. But the reason I still go to Brandy so much is because I love their accessories (necklaces, rings, bracelets, etc.) i also love the cue stickers by the cash register. I have a couple tops, sweat pants, and sweat shirts also. But to get to the point this location really amazed me. It is the smallest store so their selection wasn't huge, but that really didn't matter. I really love reading bad yelp reviews. So as you may read Brandy Melville has the best reputation of the WORST customer service. But my experience was one of the best. As someone who isn't their targeted demographic they treated me very well. I walked in and there was two young ladies one was blonde and the other was brunette. Like all BM stores they were young and skinny high school / college girls. I was greeted by both of them. Although in the beginning they didn't talk to us after that. My little sister and I saw stickers and of course because I have been to Brandy plenty of times I know they are free, we wanted to grab some. My sister went crazy and scooped up some stickers. The blonde one came up to us and said they are free and they have more if I wanted some. So I said okay. She left to fold more clothes and after purchasing a purple devil emoji key chain I asked her if she had any more stickers and she even went to the back room to look for more and brought some more out which was super nice of her. She was super nice and laid back which made me feel comfortable being there. For the stars I gave 1 for overall experience and 3 for the surprising good customer service. read more

Terrible customer service or should I say customer "no" service. They don't answer their phones during business hours nor do they have anyone available to chat. I have emailed them about my order several times but have not gotten a response. I ordered a holiday gift for my niece on the 15th, my credit card was charged on the 17th but I never received any shipping confirmation and have not received my item. I bought Christmas gifts on November 17th. My daughter got them on Christmas day. This company is telling me I cannot return the gifts that were too small because I purchased them more then 30 days ago. I can see how that policy makes sense during other times of the year but shopping for gifts to give on Christmas day more then 30 days in advanced is not un heard of. They will give me a store credit so I will give them 2 stars for that, but they need to re examine their holiday return policy to make is 60 days for people like me who shop early in November. Additionally, with Covid everyone was saying to shop early because shipping was going to take longer. They need to take that into account and be a bit more flexible with people shoppping earlier because we are in a pandemic. read more

Elena was so nice and helpful with my exchange. 20 minutes after I left the store, I tried using my store credit online and for some reason, the code was not working. Elena was nice enough to answer the store phone after they had already closed to look through the cashier system to validate my purchase (and that I did in fact receive store credit) On top of that, she went above and beyond and emailed me a copy of my receipt just in case I needed to come back if it still was not working. She suggested giving the code more time to just process in the system and sure enough, I was able to use the store credit for an online order a few hours later. I felt so taken care of by the workers of this location! Elena went above and beyond for me, was kind and caring the whole way through, and gave so many helpful suggestions until I was satisfied with my transaction! 10/10! read more

I just visited the Brandy Melville on Weyburn Avenue with my 13 year-old daughter. This was my first and last time at this store. The customer service was absolutely horrendous. The four young ladies working at the store were dismissive and arrogant. They made no contact with the customers, instead they were on their phones, chatting with each other and eating. They seemed bothered when asked to use the dressing room. The language they used was inappropriate, especially for a 13 year-old child. Very disappointed with this shopping experience! Ended up not buying anything because of this. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would choose that. read more
